General consensus is that "Motel 6" and "nice" is an oxymoron. Certainly the Motel 6 near Olive Drive in Bakersfield CA has become awful. I am happy to write that the Motel 6 in Junction defies this status, regardless of what the oxy-morons say. It has a grand, white, two-story entryway. The rooms are larger and cleaner than typical. The beds give a good night's sleep. It's across the street from I-10, but you can't hear the traffic in your room. And the price is right. Our family was driving halfway across the country to our new home, and this is the only hotel we did not want to leave. If you're doing a vacation in the Hill Country, or need a place to sleep while travelling on the 10, then this Motel 6 is highly recommended! read more

Family and I had car problems outside of Junction and had to get car towed to Junction. We were able to book 2 rooms at 1 in the morning with no problems. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were clean. The linen was clean. The AC in the rooms worked great. The night clerk was very nice and accommodating. We had to wait lil longer before checking out at noon and there was no problem us waiting in the room a lil longer. I would recommend Hill Country Hotel. After a long drive, I was ready for a nice place to rest, checked in, attendant was very nice, since I was towing a boat, he let me park up front (attendant came out to parking lot to show me where I could park) Rooms were clean, comfortable queen size beds . Terrible - checked my mom out even though she had a 3 day reservation, do not disturb sign on the door, and someone went in her room and stole her purse. Called police and front desk/owner's only comment was "no one went in the room." Even police said someone probably entered the room after she was checked out on purpose. This place was THE BEST!!!! (stayed here 12/19/21) My wife had become very ill after leaving Sonora TX and badly needed a bed and "facilities." Even though it was only about 10:00 am, the lady at the front desk was extremely accommodating and let us check in immediately. The room was spacious and CLEAN! My wife, very comfortably, spent the whole day in bed and made arrangements to see a Dr. in Houston the next day. The ONLY negative, and a minor one, was no coffee in the room. However, a fresh pot was brewing in the lobby all day and early the next morning. The location was surprisingly convenient---right next to fuel, a convenience store, and a restaurant. Also, 5 minutes from the town of Junction TX. I would like very much to thank the proprietors for their hospitality and understanding in our time of need! read more

I entered a hot room with water leaking from the ceiling onto the bed! I turned on the AC thinking I might live with the leak and after a few minutes realized it wasn't working very well. I went to the front desk and had to argue with a man not fluent in English. he finally agreed to move me to another room but, since it would be a "Deluxe" room there would be an $8 additional fee. NO Discount for the hassle of the broken AC or leak, moving my stuff from one room to another. The 2nd "Deluxe" room was the same except for a small wall cutting the room in half. Same furniture, same motel 6 decor. I will never go back there and I hope you don't either! Was staying in Junction to fish the Llano for 2 days instead of our normal 1. Figured how bad could it be. The guy working when we checked in yelled at my wife because he said she didn't fill out something right. We went to our room and immediately noticed a stain in the floor( looks like dog poop). Then we noticed a stain on the comforter . These were not old stains, but not washed stains. The bathtub was full of hair also. The shower head barely worked and the bathroom door was about to fall of the hinges. Both night we were woke up to people yelling outside. I wont stay here again. read more

Our room was fine. We are traveling with pets so our choices are limited but we do stay at Motel 6 as our first night west or last night east. Always been fine and the staff wonderful... Except this last time in April. Clerk was rude. He was totally just a jerk. And unfortunately he is the night guy so we decided on our way back to skip this motel. We stopped in Sonora instead AND found a wonderful steak place right next door. so Junction Motel 6 we are done. read more

I'd definitely stop here again if I ever found myself in junction. For $70, I got a pet friendly, large, clean room with fridge, flat screen, and microwave. And the large king bed had full protectors on it which I definitely appreciate. It was way better than other experiences I've had at other motel 6's. read more

This hotel is awful! The man working is so rude and is not patient! We were trying our best to be nice and respectful but he was so rude so we started getting aggravated. If I could give this place a zero I would. While the room itself wasn't bad- comfortable beds, amenities and spacious, the staff was HORRIBLE!! It stared at check in and this guy was just a jerk because we accidentally booked smoking rooms- he had non-smoking rooms available but made a big deal about switching them. Then when we decided to take our girls swimming he again made a big deal about the rules of the pool. At some point he actually came and said we needed to "keep those kids quiet" mind you we were in the car for 9 hours and they weren't doing anything kids don't normally do in a pool- play. The pillows and comforter were very disappointing and I did not sleep well. We were really excited about the jets in our tub but were instantly disillusioned when we found they didn't work. Not a terrible experience but I feel like a little more effort would have gone a long way. read more

Decided to try a new motel in Junction this time through town. This Motel 6 is just ok. Checkin was the best part of my stay; very hospitable clerk at the desk. The motel has zero curb appeal. The room was spacious and clean for the most part. Bedspread needs to be washed and sheets have threadbare spots. Fridge in room was not plugged in. After being plugged in a few hours, it does not cool. (Guess that's why it's unplugged.) All the switch plates in the room are old, yellowed and need replaced. It's currently after 10 pm and there's a group in the parking lot with small children and a baby making noise. I'll stay elsewhere next time through town. read more

Stayed here a few weeks ago during a leg of a long road trip. It was a very clean Motel 6 and, of course, pet friendly. There were a lot of construction guys staying here and all of them left at about 6 am and came back around 6 pm--so there was a bit of a noise factor, but nothing the fan or a/c couldn't drown out. We received great customer service here. Was glad to have stopped. Also, it's close to a McDonald's, Sonic Drive-In, and great family BBQ restaurant. read more

I came in with my family late at night. The teller was a little hard to understand but he was very patient and helpful. There are some moths on the lights outside but it isn't in your room. I got two smoking rooms-thats what was available on a busy night at 2am. Get in the room-looks great! Bedbug check- they have TWO bedbug protectors. They don't play around. Terrible. Showed up at 4 am, exhausted. Man working was a total jack ass. Tried to tell us we owed more money but would only accept it in cash, clearly just trying to get some money for his pockets. This debacle lasted about 25 minutes. We get to the hotel room and the comforters might as well be sheets. This place sucks. There seems to be a common theme with Motel 6's being dog shit. After a long 13 hour drive from Gold Canyon, AZ, and still having 5 hours until home...we just wanted a bed to sleep in for the night! We called about 10 places to check Vacancy and Motel 6 had one. Katie was very welcoming over the phone and said she had a room for us. We got there, checked in and went to our room. Wow! I was not expecting what we walked into. We had a king sized bed with a large sitting area and large bathroom. The bed was nice with lots of pillows. Con: it might have only been our room, but the shower head only would work on one setting, the jet stream...no big deal but a bit annoying. Thank you Motel 6! read more

This Motel 6 is well above the average Motel 6. Indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi! And suites! I enjoyed the hot tub in my room! Most of all, the front desk staff were great. Friendly, fast and helpful. A nice surprise for about $60. read more

I was evacuating from hurricane Harvey with the possibility of loosing everything and my home,of the possibility of loosing family, with all that on my mind. I at least expected to be treated kindly. To at least forget for a few minutes of what's going on and enjoy my stay at the only hotel available. But after arriving and trying to get my key to the room he showed me nothing but disrespect and his attitude was not warranted,I can understand being frustrated with everybody booking to escape and him being overwhelmed but my family nor I deserved the attitude he displayed from the beginning to end. We felt completely uncomfortable and not welcomed in a hotel we payed for. The complete and utter rude clerk named Sam I believe, had relatives that live in the hotel with him and all they did is stand outside there hotel room and stare at us . When I asked for an extra towel, he gave me attitude and complained about all the customers wanting towels. Towels were stained with a yellow substance, but I took it because beggars can't be choosers as the saying goes. My 5 yr old child came out crying from the jacuzzi with her eyes blotched red and privates hurting ,there was too much chlorine in that jacuzzi so be cautioned for any one with small children. The swimming pool was fine. Make sure to lock your doors right,I noticed I had to lift my door from the handle for it to click and lock properly . The dead bolt on top is off hinge ,there was a peice to the wall outlet broken, the tile in the bathroom shifts Everytime you walk on it , the plumbing is horrid with it flooding multiple times and the door to the bathroom had damage. The building looks and feels like it's slowly detiorating as if it will collapse in the future. So it's no wonder you can here the people walking back and forth or noises from either upstair ,downstairs or nextdoor. This place is only good for people who absolutely have no were else to go and it being the closest hotel like us and all the escapees from hurricane Harvey. It was no wonder why Everytime we ate at the hotels the locals would ask where we were from and where we were staying at and once we told them at the hotel 6 they grimaced and said "I feel sorry for y'all" . This location price gouges any customer they want. Tried to Doubled the advertised rate. I filed the following complaint with Motel 6. Buyer Beware. Not a good location! I would like to lodge an official complaint against the Motel 6 location at: 200 I-10 West Junction, TX 76849 Late Saturday night/early Sunday morning around 12:30 am on 4/3/16 I stopped in at this location. The price of the rooms was listed at $49.99 per the electronic sign outside, so I stopped in having been a Motel 6 customer many times in other locations. When I walked in the Manager said they did have a room available. They also told me they would charge me $100 plus tax for that room. I was amazed. First of all, I felt they were doing everything they could to price gouge me. Secondly, I felt maybe they wanted to discriminate against me and charge me double the rate for some reason. Thirdly, I thought about how this was a matter of false advertising. Three strikes in one shot. Wow! This deserves a complaint and an investigation into their policies and practices. I immediately walked out of that location and drove a few more miles down the road and slept in my car. Unacceptable behavior and unethical business practices! As far as I am concerned this location discriminated against me. I want someone to address the situation. It doesn't matter if they are franchise or not. They have an obligation to provide the same service to everyone at the same rates listed. I certainly didn't do anything to deserve this treatment. I was in their establishment no more than 2 minutes. How can they make such a decision to deny me the same respect they give any other customer? I plan on reporting this to consumer protection agencies and demand action. Motel 6 should not accept this form of doing business. This location price gouges any customer they want. Doubled the rate.
