The lodge sits on a hill. This made for an interesting layout. Too bad it's Covid otherwise I would've taken a dip in the pool. I arrived late, had to ring the bell and wait (not long). I was hoping to have access to a parking spot from my room but at least I could see the full moon from where I was. The Direct TV service did not work at all! It kept freezing and turning off. I was hoping I could watch some TV and chill. The room was comfortable and clean. I slept well. Check out is 11am. read more

Service: the lady (I didn't catch her name!) at the front desk was nice and helpful even at 10:30pm. Room: room was clean and bed was comfortable. The carpet was a bit filthy and stained but I suppose it's to be expected. Sheets were clean, bathroom was clean and the TV worked and was already hooked up to the internet saving us time for having to toggle around with it. The AC took a while to cool down the room as the room was hot when we walked in. Breakfast: breakfast was good and easy to access. Many different options and hot coffee. Overall a decent place to stay for a night! read more

Staff was nice. Bed was horrible, sounded like sleeping on a rusty spring. Room door #203 had a gap big enough to put my finger though. Used the chair to hide gap and keep light out. Room smelt funny. There breakfast is a joke. Do not waste your money read more

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. The room was dirty and old. They promised us a breakfast in the morning. However, when we checked in the night before, the owner noted that the Board of Health closed down their breakfast area due to hard water. That is some story, huh. There was no coffee in the morning, nothing. The "exercise room" had a dirty and old treadmill that would be purchased at the Dollar Store. It did not work. The floors in the halls were also very dirty, leftover ice cream droppings all over. The toilet in the room leaked water all over the floor. We deserve a refund. We checked out extra early and had to buy coffee and breakfast at the next exit. Do not stay here! read more

Let's just cut to the chase.... Just. Don't........ From the over-worn carpets, to the stained bed-covers, to the wafer-thin soap 'cakes', to the edges of the carpets where dreams go to die, this is ONLY a lodging to use if you and the guys are in the area for deer season. Don't expose wifey or kids to this level of funky funkiness, and should you expose a 'potential' to this level of man-made bio-hazard, she'd be right in dumping you on the spot, and hitching a ride to the much cleaner bus station down the hill. The room smelled a little like bug spray when we first walked in and the breakfast was somewhat disappointing. Now that I've got the negative stuff out of the way... The staff were, without exception, fantastic. Courteous, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. The view was great - and the main reason we chose to stay there to begin with. The buildings architecture is unique and makes The hotel interesting. The grounds were well maintained with three gazebos, grills, swimming pool and even a playground. The room was clean, nice sized tv and a massage head on the shower (which had good pressure and I didn't end up standing in inches of water like I have at entirely too many hotels). We took a walk along the river (not on hotel grounds) and saw peacocks, beaters and deer. read more

this is an old hotel and we got old, crumbling bathroom! breakfast in this hotel is just awful! Nothing to eat! ((eat only apples, bread and oatmeal, and then on the water! No milk, no omelette, nothing even bread spread, not even a quick breakfast, nothing! I took three apples and all! ((I was in the kitchen went even a man with a woman, they looked at the poor set (called B) turned around and left! (((although I did not understand, and for which there knives and forks. maybe that would eat apples and bread!) ) I'll add photos, of our breakfast, which is offered by the hotel! read more

Great little hotel for the price! Stay at this location, not the other ones down hwy 10. Cute break fest area (cereal, fruit, toast, coffee, tea, milk, muffins) clean rooms, nice outside area. The pool was clean and the grounds were kept up. The wifi was a little weak but the entire city is like that, honestly the hotel was the strongest signal I could get. I visit family in Junction, so I'm looking forward to my next stay here :) read more

Traveling on a budget is can be tricky. This hotel is not a bad deal for the money. What is the problem is the unprofessional staff. I told them on my reservation that I would be a late after midnight check-in. Choice Hotels said the room was guaranteed until 7 a.m. I checked in at 2:30 a.m. The next morning I saw two charges on my card. When I called, the very rude lady said I was charged a no-show because they could have rented the room. I told her that I did in fact stay. She asked me what room I stayed in and was very accusatory as if I was making it up. She said the manager would call me back in two hours. He never did. I had to call Choice Hotels customer service. I had to call the hotel back again. Still waiting for the charge to be pending and show back up on my bank card. Per Choice Hotel policy, the no-show fee should not have been charged until 7 AM the next morning. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

Great place to stay for the night. Quite,clean, friendly staff. Play ground so the kids can stretch there legs and a pic nick table area to enjoy a quiet family time. A big pool area , plenty of room for everyone. Rooms are spacious and clean, the view of the natural surrounding area and the views of the stars without all that light pollution is amazing. read more

The fridge was broke, so we were unable to keep my sons milk cold. The hair dryer broke after 30 seconds of being used (parts inside of it came lose and it sounded like it was going to blow up.) the lights in the middle of the beds did not work, and the door to the hotel room we were told "you have to pull down, then up and push." I would have rather slept in my truck. All of this for $89. read more
