I stayed here almost a month ago and had a very hard time remembering this place. What finally triggered my memory was the room they gave us, right by the stairs. Everything in the room was typical, meh, but there was some noise, early in the morning. The breakfast area is very nice. A big room that looks out over big doors to the pool area. The lobby was also nicer than usual for a Best Western although the decor was sort of old feeling. I didn't feel very welcome by the staff. We stayed at a Best Western the night before in a similar small town. It was about the same price but everything was a little better, even though the accommodations weren't as nice. Room was nice, it was clean. The pillows were tiny little things, thank goodness we brought our own. Breakfast was ok, sausage was really greasy so why the poor rating? About 20:45, our smoke alarm went off while we were getting ready for bed. Took us a few movements to get to it, but it wouldn't stop. Removed battery and it kept chirping and going off. Went to front office and there were two people behind the desk taking care of a chatty customer. No one acknowledged me for about 10 minutes until the customer pointed out I had no shoes on. I explained my smoke alarm was going off, and the ladies behind the counter said they would get to me after they finished with the current customer. She continued to chat about her dog, yada, yada. Finally she left and I explained the situation to the employees. They asked if I removed the battery right after I told them I removed the battery! So they said that they would call maintenance Who would "be there in a moment ". So, after 11 minutes of waiting, went back to room to listen to smoke alarm continuously chirping and beeping. After 21 minutes, I went back to front desk. The employees were laughing and chatting. They saw me and a look of annoyance crossed one persons face. I was quite tired after driving 10 hours and wanted to go to bed. I asked when maintenance would be there and One of them said "he will be right there". Went back to room After 14 minutes, I went back to front desk. They were talking with the chatty customer from earlier. Neither employee looked at me, they did their best to look away from me. I stood there for about 4 minutes while they chatted with customer about her dog. A car pulled up and a man walked in. They started talking to him and told them my room number. I am standing there and they don't acknowledge me nor do they tell me he is the maintenance man. I am invisible to them. So I spoke to him and told him the details. He listened, showed empathy, was friendly, explained why it probably happened, came to our room, and quickly disconnected the wires and the device. Problem solved (unless there was an actual fire and then I wouldn't have a smoke detector). He apologized for taking so long to get there as he was at home and was only called a few minutes ago. Finally got to sleep! Why didn't the staff tell me it would take a while instead of telling me it would be just a moment? And why ignore me when I came back the last time. I never raised my voice or was confrontational. Tired, yes. But I was a gentleman. read more

Comfortable for a quick stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Quiet area. Great place if you are traveling with dogs, there is a great picnic area with lots of grass outside that makes this place really convenient. If you are like me and obsess over where to take your dog out to the bathroom...worry no more. This place is perfect. Lovely continental breakfast with good selection. All for a great price. Rooms are small, but overall a comfortable stay and would recommend if you are passing through. I'd stay here again if I needed to! read more

We checked in late on a cross country trip and I gave the front desk my ID and credit card, they gave me a receipt- or at least I thought it was. We left the next morning and hit the road early. I started getting phone calls from the BW front desk saying that I didn't pay the bill. Apparently this place is stuck in 1996 and they expect you to actually check out at the front desk. Who does that anymore? I travel all the time and I've never experienced this so I was very skeptical when they called to ask for my credit card info. I'm on the road, I tell her I'll look everything over when I'm at the next rest stop and refuse to give her my CC info over the phone before I have time to check my account to see if I was billed the night before or not. They know who I am, they have a scan of my driver's license, it's not like I'm trying to get out of paying, I just don't want to be scammed. The front desk continues to call me repeatedly and harassed me for the next half hour while I'm driving on a freeway at 80 miles an hour. Rest stops in this area are far apart and I'm not doing this while I'm driving because of your error. So here's your well earned 1 star review. And we made sure to use our American Express Card just in case this is a scam. I'm still skeptical. read more

I went to go check out of my room, when I heard an assistant manager talking down and yelling at her employees. She continued to be disrespectful to her employees and myself when I told her that's no way to treat her employees. Her name was Bonnie and terrible management at this hotel. I spoke to a few other employees about her behavior and it seems to be a common factor for her constant disrespect. Bonnie needs to be talked to about her behavior. read more

I haven't had breakfast yet so I can't comment about that but from reading other reviews I can't wait it sounds good. I had to write this now after reading other reviews while enjoying my in room coffee this morning. My review is in regards to the noise. Some construction workers stay here while working, and they do get a little loud but it's fine. You have to remember they are away from home working. They just want to relax after a hard day like anyone else. Plus I feel safe with them around because you know they are not thieves or criminals, and they will watch out for you and your stuff. The room it was clean , and the price was good. The pool looks nice and clean but we didn't get a chance to try it because we were sleepy. The customer service was excellent. I really can't wait to try that breakfast in two hours. Oh and plenty of parking with a dirt lot across the street for bigger vehicles. read more

Man this place at night is all bad!!!! It's infested with beetles, crickets, moths, grasshoppers, and spiders like this shit looks like what you see in the movies ‍ it took me about 10-15 mins just to get in my room because there were so many damn bugs all over the walls, doors, in the streets, on people cars, surrounding the tires like this shit is ridiculous I'm sorry but I wouldn't ever come back to this place, I probably won't even sleep tonight because I have bugs in my damn room to!! $115 is not worth staying here they need to mark the price down to $20 read more

So far, this Best Western was the best one yet. The hotel room was very clean and up to date. Well taken care of. A decent sized fridge, and microwave. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of options, and I love the Texas shaped waffle maker! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Carly at the front desk was so kind, and very supportive of military services. Stopped by this little place at 3:00am this morning.... Cross country driving, Juan the attendant was ready to set us up quickly. He was very courteous and helpful. Although this is not a 5 star hotel the room was very clean with all it's 5 star amenities. In the morning we had breakfast, breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, sausage a Texas waffle, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt and plenty of fruit options. There aren't many choices when you come to Junction Texas. This Best Western is the best choice in all of Junction Texas I have stayed at the other places and I will only be staying at this place in the future. Very clean very clean very clean, average morning breakfast. Could sure use a few more plugs in the rooms, but I guess I'm a plug Pig and need to plug in so many devices I always bring extra spiders to be sure I have enough plugs. We called ahead making reservations with Holiday Inn Express in Junction, Texas. The online website even showed a photo of a HIE building and sign. When we arrived we found that the HIE was in the process of being built, was not completed and was inaccessible. After much frustration in trying to reach the same number that we had called earlier, we found that the reservation we had was for a Best Western across the street. The franchise for HIE was owned by the same person running the Best Western. This was really a bait and switch! Due to our previous bad experiences with Best Western, we no longer do business with them. It is surprising that HIE allows this kind of behavior of their franchise owners. New and super clean! This was a really nice surprise. We were traveling to Austin from Midland. The weather turned bad, so we needed to stop fast. They had a king room still available at midnight and offered a military discount. The hotel looks very new. The rooms was large. They had a little fridge and coffee maker. (There may have been a microwave.) The bed was comfy. I would have liked a couple more pillows, but I'm over the top when it comes to the number of pillows I use. Water pressure wasn't great, but it was hot! There was a nice breakfast in the morning. All in all, I was very happy. I would absolutely stay there again. read more

If you're looking for a nice place to stay in junction, this is it. Everything was fresh and clean. LOTS OF FRESH TOWELS! Good wifi, which is great because cell signal is scarce out there. Any interaction with staff we had was great. My friends and I all thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfast as well, they had a great selection. The coffee wasn't the best but that's about it. I loved this place and everyone that worked there. We had car trouble and had to be towed into town. Not only did they find us a room, but helped us with rides to the store for food and diapers for my little one since we got there in the middle of the night. The same the next day. They extended out check out until our car was repaired and were nothing but accommodating. The room was impeccable and so was the lobby. Breakfast was delicious. Over all I felt rescued indeed. Nice and clean! Allowed our dog with a $10 pet fee. Breakfast bar was well stocked and warm/cold as appropriate at 0800. Our room was a double with a mini fridge and microwave everything worked well and the five of us were very happy with our stay. My only complaint is the beds were a little hard (but that's personal preference more so than anything). Would stay here again and recommend. read more

If possible, make the drive into San Antonio and stay somewhere there. The desk attendant even told us that the room had a pull-out sofa, but that it would not be comfortable. Why make us pay $140 for a room when you know it isn't comfortable? I know, because it is midnight and you know we are exhausted and over a barrel.
