    Gaps in the floor
    Rod W.

If I could give this place zero stars I would . We arrived after a long flight and the start of our journey home . We were tired and had very limited options. This place offers no internet, no breakfast at all. They claimed coffee but they had no cups or even fresh coffee. The rooms were unkept . The hallways smelled like filth. The ceiling in the bathroom had unfinished drywall. The walls had dirt and grime on them. Behind the nightstand was about an inch of dust. The bathtub had a few hairs from past guests. There were gaps in the finished floor. Keep on trucking unless your dead tired as we were.

I'm conflicted with this review, but I have to be honest. Stayed here as a budget wedding party option when we had too many people for a suite at another hotel and it was close to the reception. This Motel 6 is off the Drums I-80 exit on Rt 93 heading towards Hazelton, and is up a small driveway with plenty of parking. Building is three stories with no elevators I could find. To start, price for two nights was higher then what was quoted on the website with tax by 15 dollars, not sure what caused that but I didn't argue due to needing the room. There was an accent/language barrier with the front desk person; I largely could not understand what he was saying. Check-in was otherwise relatively smooth and they do make a photocopy of your ID. Checkout is it 11AM. Rooms are lean, let's not joke about that and they have wood floors. They are already showing some wear and tear, saw some shelving rust and there were permanent marks on the tub. Our toilet also at times did not stop running and would require a manual reset. Shower was also weak with poor pressure. The walls are also thin and we could hear some movement from outside the room. You get two pillows per bed and asking for more can be a challenge. Good items included having a mini fridge and a microwave. Our TV was an LG and it was gorgeous. The ladies who were cleaning the rooms were nice. If you have a situation that you need a bed and shower for the night, it's ok. Otherwise not my first or second option for a hotel.

One of the services that direly needs to be updated is their "business center", which is just an old Dell desktop with a printer. The computer was extremely slow to open programs, navigate the internet, and print documents. My room was OK, nothing special. The bed was clean and comfortable, but it was somewhat hard to sleep because the AC/heating unit sounded like someone snoring throughout the night. At least the hallways were fairly quiet to counteract that. The shower water pressure was nice, though it would've been better if the temperature could get hotter. It was only warm. That goes for the sink as well - it didn't produce hot water let alone warm. I could only wash my hands in cold water. Hazleton is a small town, so it makes sense that there would not be any five star hotels nearby. If you like free breakfast and parking this is the place to stay. It's also the closest Marriott to the town. A short-term stay wouldn't break the bank and the hotel is convenient and comfortable.

She greeted us with a warm smile and even handed us a gift bag at check-in, which such a nice touch. While the hotel is a bit older, the staff clearly takes pride in keeping everything well maintained. Our room was spacious, the A/C worked great, and the bathroom had great water pressure. We also took advantage of the indoor pool and dry sauna, both were spotless and in great condition. The lobby had a refreshing water cooler that stayed cool and fully stocked all day, along with well maintained coffee station, with regular, decaffeinated and hot water for tea. This was a comfortable and relaxing stay, and we'll definitely book again. Great hotel, great staff, and great experience.

PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. 1. Ceiling was peeling and falling. 2. Shower rod was falling, and curtain could not hold the water to the shower area. 3. The refrigerator had packing tape on the rubber gasket that had BLACK MOLD! 4. The dishwasher had rancid standing water. 5. The Toilet Seat was falling off. 6. The Door Latch to prevent entry was broken off. 7. The ice bucket (no liners provided) was dirty. 8. There were packets containing sugar and milk substitute that were opened and used. 9. The floors were not swept and had dirt along the edges. 10. The hotel photos showed TV in the bedroom, but there wasn't one. 11. The Living room couch and carpet had spill stains on them. 12. Musty odor in room. I went to management, but my complaints fell on deaf ears. I asked for a call back, but did not get one.

Walked into the building where our room was and it smelled bad. The rail up two flights of stairs was loose and caused me to almost slip when I grabbed it. Stairs felt weak and the door leading to the outside to get to the room was shattered. Once we got into the room, it overwhelmed me of cigarette smoke, that I almost threw up. Went back downstairs to complain about the room, as I booked a non smoking room, the woman said she didn't realize I booked a non smoking room. Maybe you should ask if you don't know. She then was about to put us into a new room and realized that it was a king room and we needed two queens. Finally got to the room and it was in need of a big overall. The toilet ran off and on all night, the fire alarm was torn from the ceiling, cracks in many walls, floor was sticky, black stains on towels, and there was a stain on the comforter that looked like blood. Other things as well, but you get the jyst. The only positives was the shower had good water pressure and was hot, but needs a good cleaning and reno. At check out the guy behind the front desk refused to give me a receipt saying he couldn't because I booked via hotels.com and because what the hotel charges and what hotel.com charge are different hence he couldn't provide s receipt. I book all hotel stays through them and never had an issue getting a receipt. DO NOT STAY HERE. WORSE HOTEL EVER
