The property is in fact not dog friendly, the manager stereotypes dogs & their handlers as a money grab. Very first interaction was of the manager trying to threaten a working dog clearly trying to find a proper place to relieve itself. No "dog stations" parking lot floods with trash & is unmonitored so there's constant speeding. Dog will definitely return dirtier than they went out to potty, if not with a police escort. Rooms are dated despite the pretty pictures, nothing about this place is a "good deal" which is probably why they have 2 motels connecting. read more

Worst motel ever. Tom Bodet needs to know that Motel 6 DOES NOT leave the light on anymore. My sister reserved a room for 4 nights for family coming in from out of town. The reservation was in my nephew's name but my sister paid for the room. We told the Motel 6 in Conroe that they would be in late between miidnight and 2 a.m. when my nephew arrived he couldn't get ahold of my sister ex i he called me after 1 a.m. We were asleep. He told us the employee would not check him in. She needed my sister's id. He put us on speaker and I tried to tell her we were 20 miles away. My sister is a dialysis patient and had just finish dialysis and didn't feel good. The employee didn't care and would not listen. We drove 20 miles north to Conroe. When we got there the employee told us through the window that she wasn't going to deal with us. She said we should Lane or she is calling the police. We told her to go ahead. My sister found another reservation for four nights in Conroe and we took my nephew, his wife, and three small children there. Never again will we use Motel 6. read more

They didn't have their own driveway to get to the property but borrowed the entry of the shops next door. You don't find out til after you end up passing them on the feeder/frontage road so you have to drive a couple miles down the highway before you can loop back around and try again. Not enough parking for a full hotel so you have to park around back and carry all of your luggage around to the front of the building on degraded and lumpy pavement. Great opportunity to get mugged. Check-in guy was a little combative. They have a 4pm check-in (later than other hotels) and refused to let me check in a half hour early (had a 4:40pm wedding to attend) so I had to find something to do until then delaying my ability to get cleaned up, dressed and make it on time to the wedding. Their space for hanging clothes was built wrong so they only had room for hanging a few things without them getting tangled up and wrinkled. Unrepaired damages to the walls set a hole-in-the-wall vibe. Entire room reeked of marijuana (fragrant to some?). They didn't tell me there were no extra pillows (as I had requested it) until I checked in, leaving me no other options, then their pillows were too small and weak. Later that night I discovered that NONE of the good channels on their TV had sound. All the sports channels seemed to work so that might be good for some lodgers. No microwave as advertised. Not worth the money for me. Will never go back nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. read more

Me and my husbands car got stolen at 1:14am this morning by a tow truck and we got here at 12:55am and the front desk people are not helpful at all as they say that it's not there responsibility when they allowed the tow truck on their property!!! This is the first time this has happened to us. This place charged us almost 70.00, for a room that's super tiny beds felt like u were sleeping on the floor back and knees are killing us. Roaches were seen a few times. Rooms are dirty, bathroom filthy. Wish I woulda went somewhere else but my sister is in the hospital nearby. They did have good tv channels.there were people standing around outside like they were waiting for some work if u know what I mean. Or maybe beggars I'm not sure but it was a concern... I wish I could give zero stars. Upon pulling into the parking lot there was trash everywhere. The woman at the front desk seemed beyond annoyed with us disturbing her to check in. The door to the room had to basically be broken down to open the door. When we closed the door behind ourselves, there was a clear hole in the door from it being pushed in from the outside. The room smelled like mold and marijuana. There were cigarette ends all over the ground outside. We were greeted with cops and an ambulance out front apparently some issues. Our room was clean apparently newly renovated the towels were frayed and paper thin but very small. Clientele was sketchy. It was pet friendly I have a small dog but the walls were thin heard the neighbors dog bark and whine along with the small children till about 2AM. We came back to our room on Saturday it was made up but a very very strong smell of pot was in the room. There is no dog park u have to walk a distance to take your dog away from the property to pee. We chose to stay here for the pricing. It is cheap. I will give it that. It seems like they recently remodeled and the walls had a fresh coat of paint. The woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful, too. Cons: -no microwave - no fridge - no coffeemaker - only bar hand soap provided - small, scratchy towels -scratchy sheets -weird outlet placement - we specified non smoking and definitely got a room that had been smoked in, although it had a nonsmoking symbol on the door. This is the main reason I'm leaving a lower amount of stars. Gross. We bought febreeze but our mattress even smells like it. I will not be coming back to this Motel 6. Possibly never any Motel 6 again. $50 a night is budget friendly but we have to go out to eat as there is no fridge or microwave, so we end up spending more money. If I were to give a negative star, I would. This place gave me a room and as I walked into the room. It smelled like smoke and their comforter had cigarette burns on it. So, I called the front office from my room and I explained to them I'm in a non-smoking room but, it smelled like cigarette smoke. I asked them if I can change to a different room because I don't want to be responsible for the smell and the burns on the bedding. So, they switched me to another room. I exchanged my key and got a new room. As I walked into the second room I was given. The floor was all sticky and it was very humid in the room. I sat at the edge of the bed and I looked down under the bed and I noticed mold and wetness on the floor boards. I grabbed all my belongings and walked back to the office. Again, I explained to the front office rep about the room. So, they went to go check the room and they said it was fine. There's nothing wrong with the room. I asked for my refund and they told me I exceeded the 15 minute stay period. Well, if I didn't have to run around and check each room I was given. Perhaps, I would have gotten a refund back. They asked if I wanted to get switched to a third room. I just walked out. There was no sense in trying to reason with them. Our lock on the door would stick and the vanity light in the bathroom was out, but honestly we were in such a rush, we did not have time to notify the front desk. Horrible Conditions in Conroe Texas. Toliet Over flowed constantly. TV sound did not work. Guest attendant refused to give check in and check out receipts and no refunds. Will not return. Motel Six is now Motel Sux. Please do not leave the light on ! We left within short of two hours of being there, We had enough after the toilet over flowed and she had no maintenance guy to come fix toilet. We required downstairs disabled accessible facilities and she wanted to put us on the second floor despite our handicap needs that she ignored. read more

I was disappointed with this Motel 6. We chose Motel 6 because we knew what to expect. This was probably the 7th Motel 6 we stayed at in our trip across America. Our surprise was when we had to pay for Wifi. And not only that: you pay per device, so we had to pay twice. This never happened in other Motel 6. It is just a poor business decision. And it wasn't even fast. To make it worse, the room did not have any fridge or microwave, so we had to keep the food we had bought in the sink with ice around it. The two Mexican ladies working the front desk from July 1-July 3 2015 were very rude and seemed a tad biased because the people before got smiles and conversation. I had to tell them about themselves; customer service skills suck. Had to get rude just to get a towel. Definitely done with that motel as long as they have the same staff. read more
