    Hair on "clean" towels
    Shelly C.

I called ahead a few months prior to travel because my flight into Chicago would arrive early morning. I asked if I could check in early. The clerk told me yes. I asked if there were any additional fees and he told me no. I arrive around 2 am and the front desk clerk told me that I needed to pay for an additional night even though it was "technically" the next day! I was traveling alone and it was the middle of winter. The room was a mess. Bed was falling apart and there was hair on the towels! The manager took no accountability and offered no apology for her staff and facilities. I checked out the next day.

Checked in and checked right back out. Place is disgusting. Beds are broken. Carpet is dirty. Toilets don't flush. Cigarette burns on the blankets. I would rather sleep outside with the homeless then risk resting my head on this run down poor excuse for a Motel. 0/5. Worst $200.00 I ever spent. Paid a little more at the Hamptons 10 minutes down the road difference was night and day.

    Dust behind the bed

Checked out this place with Google where it has 3.4 stars... Wish I had checked yelp instead of just on Google before checking in to this place. But far the dirtiest, most run down motel I've ever been to. Honestly, my skin is crawling... Halp!!!

Worst hotel experience of my life. Bed Bugs,Cross Dresser Prostitute and LoudRap Bass playing allllll Night, two inches from my bedroom window. I know people from Chicago can be standoffish, but O.M.G ! ANTEWON IS THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MEET .. I believe (It's my personal opinion) he was on something maybe METH or CRACK he was figeting and whispering then yelling .... GEORGE is a COMPLETE RUDE AND COLD & UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON ...he had his Pet with him a BIG PIT BULL THERE on a choke chain .... I called Animal Control on him ... EXPECT A VISIT ... A CHOKE CHAIN IS A TEACHING TOOL NOT A LEASH & COLLAR to be Used on a daily basis .... SO I stopped at the Motel 6 at Bridge view, illinois during a cross country drive. I had been on the road for 12 hours and needed a safe and comfortable place to sleep. The room was filthy (and my standards for a roadside hotel are not that high). There was what appeared to be a blood stain on top of the comforter. I stayed because driving further was a safety hazard. Despite being exhausted, I did a couple hours of work online before climbing into bed. At first I thought there were toenail clippings in the bed, but upon examination, they were insect sheds. This was confirmed when a large (adult) bed bug went racing past me. I called the desk to let them know and was stunned to receive a condescending and accusatory response from the person at the desk. "Why didn't call sooner", "How come you are just calling now"... After informing the desk person that I took photos, he said I could come and show him. After showing him the photos, he I think his name was edwin and his friend who also works at motel 6 jorge were both rude and unprofessional, offered to let me switch rooms and was told that he would go up and check out the situation (I waited in the room 20 minutes and he never showed). Although infestations are not limited to one room, I checked out the second room and found it worse than the first. I returned both keys to find the clerk watching TV (and assume he did not have any intention of checking out the situation). I returned the keys and fled into the night exhausted. It took another 100 miles of driving to find a safe place to sleep in my car for a couple of hours before driving another 8. I had the privilege of paying for this nightmare as I was refused a refund by both the hotel and the corporate office!! This destroyed my previously positive impression of motel 6. I have included BED BUG PHOTOS.. I was horrified to Find BED BUGS

The most disgusting place I've ever stayed in my life. The newly updated lobby is a total facade. This hotel needs MAJOR remodeling but it might just be better off burnt to the ground. We also arrived at 3pm which is check in time and had to wait an hour and a half to get a room, then when we get to the room it is an absolute hell hole. I really hope I didn't catch something by staying in this hotel. Was too scared to check the mattress. No mini fridge, no shampoo or conditioner, toothpaste, hair dryer, no amenities whatsoever. "Check the vending machine" was the answer we got. Vending machine had 2 foil packets of shampoo going for $2.50. No conditioner. Had to go to the 7/11. TV in room was broken. Dresser drawers wouldn't open. Front desk was friendly enough but didn't do a damn thing about our terrible experience except for give us a MOTEL 6 GIFT CERTIFICATE. Yeah, no thanks. SAVE YOURSELF and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. (BTW we stayed 2 nights for a concert and it cost us $332)

Thought there were gonna be a microwave, or freezer. The wall paper was peeling off the chair was broken the walls are discussing... I didn't sleep on under the covers I just used a sleeping bag, but other then that it was fine. But you can realize the people living there.. and having dogs around. Doesn't have free breakfast just a microwave and coffee.

They had cheese omelettes, sausage and breakfast potatoes. As well as two waffle irons to make mini Belgian waffles. Second night a bunch of kids checked in for some soccer / hockey event. They were teenagers but acted like toddlers in the hallways. Running and screaming. Loud music was playing in the room next to us but they had enough courtesy to turn it off by 11pm. Second moring we went down same time. 9 am. No sausage, no potatoes and no waffles. Only thing hot were western omelettes ( yuck ). No cleaning service so had to ask for extra towels at the front desk. Our room phone wouldn't call the front desk. I asked for a couple extra pillows and was told they were out. Didn't think we'd ever stay here again. Proximity to what we wanted was too far away.

This last visit was the worst of the bunch. Multiple families here for what would seem to be a staycation. Kids and families dragging water into the hallways from the pool. And fairly loud in their rooms. I know this is me being complainy but guests need to respect that other people are around. In general there were multiple broken items in the hotel. Benches at breakfast, handle in the elevator, signs through out, toilet paper holder in my bathroom. There was also no shampoo which was really annoying after I arrived late after a severely delayed flight. The staff did jump to fill it the next day when asked. After which I noticed the conditioner was also empty. Breakfast was normal hotel breakfast and fine. Coffee was always fresh and available. Parking was free and wash to access the building from all sides. Rooms generally clean.

The price was a little inflated when my group went due to there being many events that weekend, but not as crazy as some of the other nearby hotels. The hotel and our room was very clean upon arrival. The decor, furniture, etc. was pretty old-school. When we reserved, we were under the impression that we'd have a couch in the room but instead got a large space with many different chair options. It worked out fine and we used the space to have friends come over before we went out to our event. We were fairly loud and when we checked to see if the sound would bother our neighbors by going into the hall, you actually couldn't hear much. We got no complaints so I assume it was the same for the walls between the rooms. The bed was comfortable and everything worked fine. Good water pressure in the shower. Mini fridge worked better than most hotel fridges. Lots of places to unpack belongings. Front desk staff was responsive and kind. Parking was complementary and super easy. They had complementary breakfast, but we did not indulge (we slept in!) Just a few cons. The gym and the pool were both closed during our time there. Our room had no full-length mirror, just the regular mirror in the bathroom. Easily resolved by adding a mirror. Also, no closet in our room. Finally, the TV had only very basic channels. I'd recommend adding Netflix or some kind of streaming service - at least the ability to log in with one's own account. The TV seemed pretty old and probably incapable of this.

Supposedly they were renovating the 3rd floor, being on the 2nd floor (217) it WASN'T really nice to listen to banging until after 9 pm. The telephone had no cord. I couldn't just exchange towels with the housekeeper as she didn't speak or understand English but she did bring a whole new set of towels. The breakfast was sad, just cereal byt good coffee.. The outside of the hotel has lots of garbage and cigarette butts and weeds. The parking lot had a large pot hole in it. Some interesting guests made it a bit sketchy. The room had a decent bed. While visiting Chicago, my husband and I ended up choosing to stay at Best Western Plus Chicagoland…read more- Countryside because staying in Chicago is really expensive and thought staying at this location was still within a very reasonable amount of driving distance to Chicago. My husband and I ended up staying for about a week here and checked in rather late on a Tuesday night, around 9 pm. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us 2 bottles of water when we checked in. We ended up being placed at the very end of the hallway on the first floor. This room was right next to the side exit and also right next to the vending machine and ice machine. Unfortunately because of this location, it was noisy in the evening with people getting ice at 2 am and later or coming and going out of the side exit at random times of the night (and these guests were not courteous to be quiet with the rooms they passed by). The next night, we had asked if we could change rooms and the same employee who checked us in the night before said there were no other rooms available and said "it is what it is"... a bit disappointed by his lack of help so we just stayed in our room for the rest of our stay with interruptions throughout the evenings (if you end up getting this room, I would recommend you ask to move to another location, especially if you are a light sleeper). The room itself was fine in terms of cleanliness and room. We stayed in a room with a king bed that also had a mini fridge and microwave. Our room also had free WiFi and free breakfast (6 am- 9 am on week days and 7 am- 10 am on weekends). It was a full breakfast, that included eggs, sausage, various cereals (cold and hot), make your own waffle, bread/ pastries, coffee, tea and yogurt). There is also one washer ($1.50 per use) and one dryer machine ($2.25 per use) on site available for use (which we ended up using one night). They are both coin operated. There is also a gym on site was that had 2 treadmills, one elliptical, one bike machine, free weights, one lap pull down bar and one bench. There was also plenty of clean towels available. I did use the gym twice during our stay and thought it was fine for me. Overall, our stay was okay. I would have liked something a little nicer but I think for the price, it was acceptable. I think the trash did need to be taken out more often though, as the trash can by the vending machine + ice machine was full and people started to just pile their trash around it since it no long fit in the trash can. Just remember, if you do stay here, request for another room if you are placed at the end of the hallway on the first floor that is by the side exit, vending machine and ice machine.

When i checked out, i let the girl behind the desk know and she really didn't express any concern that perhaps a dissatisfied customer was leaving the building. Overall though the room and hotel was nice. The air freshener upon entering the hotel was VERY OVERWHELMING! Thankfully it was not like that on the room floors or in rooms. Ample parking. And good location for our needs. If i came back to the area, I'd likely look for another hotel simply because of being dismissed at checkout. But in general it's not a bad hotel.

We go up to the desk person and she can't find our reservation, no worries right they have other rooms. When she gives us the paper work to sign the total is $115 with a "discount". That's $30 more than we were initially quoted but I am so tired and cranky I let it slide. We go up old ratty dirty elevator and get off on the 3rd floor. As soon as the elevator opens the combination smell of dirty old man, cigarettes, and massive BO wafts towards our direction. We get into our room and you can tell the cleaning crew did the bare minimum to keep this place "clean". I've stayed at better hole in the wall hotels in Mexico! The coffee pot, which I had no intention of using was full of coffee stains. And the disposable cups were all crush that two of them had holes in the bottom. Against better judgement we get up for their continental breakfast. I can't complain about the breakfast it is usual breakfast fare ie. toast, cereal, etc. But that room was hot an MUGGY! It felt gross. They had no plates and the milk was not in a cool container so needless to say I stayed away from that mess. The reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the desk people were nice and they ended up giving us the original price of $84. Next time I will prefer to stay in my home oven than this place.
