Let me start by saying my boyfriend chose this hotel because of its convenient location right off the Chicago interstate. Unfortunately, this was not one of his better hotel picks. We booked one of the jacuzzi rooms, and I've stayed in much nicer ones elsewhere. The jacuzzi had visible mold and clearly had not been cleaned properly. I actually cleaned it myself before we used it. The caulking around the tub was deteriorated and needs to be stripped and replaced, and the foundation supporting the jacuzzi did not feel secure at all. The bed was another major issue. For a room of this type, a king-size bed would have been much more appropriate than the small bed provided. My boyfriend and I are not large people, but the bed felt cramped. Worse, it was broken. After a six-hour drive from Minnesota, all we wanted was to get some sleep, but instead we had to rotate the bed and place towels under the box spring just to make it usable. Sitting on it felt like being on the cracked Titanic. The room was very minimal for the price charged and definitely not worth what we paid. There was also mold around the window and in the regular shower, which is unacceptable. I do want to mention that the staff were very friendly, accommodating, and seemed to do their best with what they had to work with. My frustration is not with them. However, this property desperately needs a deep cleaning and major maintenance. I watched the housekeeping staff cleaning rooms, but it appeared to be basic surface cleaning only. When we moved the bed to fix it, we found mold underneath as well. I would strongly recommend that management temporarily close the hotel, bring in professional cleaners and maintenance crews, and address the mold, broken furniture, damaged caulking, and overall condition of the property before charging guests premium rates for these rooms. read more

We get to our room after being charged for the upgrade. And the first thing that was noticed was a cockroach. Then go to attempt to turn on the lights by the bed and none of them work. Turned on the tv and it said call the front desk. Horrible establishment. I do not recommend this place. It should be condemned in my opinion. read more

We didn't have issues with bugs like other reviews mentioned, but it was also not a good stay. The bathroom had mildew/mold that should be handled. The towel bar was broken off and never replaced. The room got wet and clammy after each shower, smelling like sweaty feet, due to no ventilation. The room didn't come with a mini-fridge or microwave. I've never stayed in a motel 6 that didn't have one, so I didn't know that wasn't the standard. The complementary coffee in the lobby was disgusting. The hallways constantly smelled like smoke. There were objects shoved down the sink drain from previous stays that no one noticed/wanted to fetch out. The bed was clean (as far as I could tell) and actually quite comfortable. read more

Well 3 rd time here and sink was full of water for the 3 rd time in a whole other room dates vary months apart. Can down stairs to get coffee, and it was basically water, you can see right threw looks like tea and taste like water , me and another guy told staff and he said he can't do anything he's told to make it like that. read more

I called ahead a few months prior to travel because my flight into Chicago would arrive early morning. I asked if I could check in early. The clerk told me yes. I asked if there were any additional fees and he told me no. I arrive around 2 am and the front desk clerk told me that I needed to pay for an additional night even though it was "technically" the next day! I was traveling alone and it was the middle of winter. The room was a mess. Bed was falling apart and there was hair on the towels! O stars! My brother-in-law and nephew booked a room here tonight as they needed a place to stay due to a family wake. They got back to the room and it was crawling with cockroaches! They immediately went to the front desk to say they were leaving due to the roaches and requested their credit card be refunded. The front desk person said there was nothing they could do and they would need to speak to management. Ridiculous! Don't stay here unless you want to sleep with cockroaches! Wouldn't doubt if they have bed bugs too! Absolutely disgusting place for a Motel 6! They say they leave the light on for you. Motel 6 Bridgeview is right by the I-294 Beltway and it's a bit far from O'Hare and downtown, but convenient if you're traveling out of Illinois southward. There's a big parking lot and it's right near a bunch of other restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. It's around $40-$50 a night. I stopped here to spend the night before I drove back to New York. My expectations were already extremely tamed since I knew this was a roadside motel and I only needed a bed to crash for a few hours and recharge. But even for a motel this place is pretty grimy. Half of the charging ports in my room didn't work and the light switches were loose. There was a pillow of dust that came out of my face towel when I picked it up and I found hairs all over the towel and bedsheets. The rooms have the bare minimum and the only amenity they offer is a bar of soap. The saving grace was that the front desk staff was nice and accommodating to my checking in late. There are definitely nicer motels within a similar price range. TLDR: Convenient location but very grimy motel that offers barely the bare minimum. read more

I would rather sleep outside with the homeless then risk resting my head on this run down poor excuse for a Motel. 0/5. Worst $200.00 I ever spent. This is extremely noisy! The walls are very thin and you hear everything! There are dogs barking and knocking on the floor and unfortunately the customer service was exceptional by Randal but the noise level made it not receive more stars! They had a fire issue earlier in the day... I hope they control the noise and make it better for future guests. read more

This place is an absolute crack den. My mother made a reservation while we were traveling; she had good experiences with Motel 6's in the past. When we pulled up and saw these strung-out, zombie-like women by the front entrance, my mom asked "Did I F*** up?" Yes, mom--you did. The problem is not the front desk staff; they were polite. The real problem is the downright terrifying and hostile clientele. Many were so high, they shambled through the place and couldn't speak a coherent sentence. One was carted off in an ambulance because she couldn't even stand. Another one who looked particularly wild and irritable kept riding the elevators and getting off at every floor, then hopping back on and repeating the process. The walls were so thin, it sounded like passing trucks were in the room with us. We could also hear what was happening five rooms over on either side. I didn't feel safe leaving my room without pepper spray. As for the rooms themselves, there were no roaches or bedbugs. That's about the only good thing I can say, as I'll bet a black-light would've told a horror story. There were no amenities--no refrigerator, no microwave, just a TV and two tiny bars of soap (miraculously). The floor was so dirty, we realized our socks were nearly soiled after only half a day. The toilet was weak and the shower curtain rod had lost enough screws to be barely hanging onto the walls. The beds sounded as though they were ready to fall apart. As for the "housekeeping", they were eyeing people--including us--suspiciously. That's understandable, given the rest of the shady clientele, but their flagrant hostility further put me on edge. One was on the verge of biting our heads off simply because we asked if she was waiting for the elevator. We don't give hotel staff a hard time; all we expect is to not catch an attitude when we're not giving one. Overall, there are far better hotels for the price. They may be farther away, but well worth your time compared to this nonsense. I feel obligated to leave such a scathing review because someone is going to get hurt at this place. There is clearly a lot of drug abuse, and it needs to be addressed ASAP. read more

I had been on the road for 12 hours and needed a safe and comfortable place to sleep. The room was filthy (and my standards for a roadside hotel are not that high). There was what appeared to be a blood stain on top of the comforter. I stayed because driving further was a safety hazard. Despite being exhausted, I did a couple hours of work online before climbing into bed. At first I thought there were toenail clippings in the bed, but upon examination, they were insect sheds. This was confirmed when a large (adult) bed bug went racing past me. I called the desk to let them know and was stunned to receive a condescending and accusatory response from the person at the desk. "Why didn't call sooner", "How come you are just calling now"... After informing the desk person that I took photos, he said I could come and show him. After showing him the photos, he I think his name was edwin and his friend who also works at motel 6 jorge were both rude and unprofessional, offered to let me switch rooms and was told that he would go up and check out the situation (I waited in the room 20 minutes and he never showed). Although infestations are not limited to one room, I checked out the second room and found it worse than the first. I returned both keys to find the clerk watching TV (and assume he did not have any intention of checking out the situation). I returned the keys and fled into the night exhausted. It took another 100 miles of driving to find a safe place to sleep in my car for a couple of hours before driving another 8. I had the privilege of paying for this nightmare as I was refused a refund by both the hotel and the corporate office!! This destroyed my previously positive impression of motel 6. This place is DISTURBING! We pull up and there's a lady that looks like she's seen better days sitting in a folding picnic chair right next to the lobby door chain smoking. Turns out she's the manager or something?? Bums sleeping in the lobby, place looks like a renovation abandonment with patchy paint all over and smells like cigarettes! We immediately called corporate to cancel our reservation after 10+ hrs of driving and frantically looked for a different motel. Beware! The pictures are DECEIVING. Trouble keeping the rooms clean. I went to the room they initially assigned and it looked occupied. I was horrified I had disturbed the occupant (who did not seem to be in the room at the time, it's possible the room was simply not serviced after the last occupant left). The next room they gave me was a "Jacuzzi" room that was supposed to be non smoking but it hadn't been cleaned and the previous occupant had left cigarette butts in the room. Finally was assigned what appeared to be an ADA compliance room and this was just acceptable. The night manger gave me a discount for the inconvenience. The air conditioner didn't work and there was no shampoo in the bathroom. The signage of the hotel gave the impression it was a bad neighborhood. Needs a remodel, as well. The most disgusting place I've ever stayed in my life. The newly updated lobby is a total facade. This hotel needs MAJOR remodeling but it might just be better off burnt to the ground. We also arrived at 3pm which is check in time and had to wait an hour and a half to get a room, then when we get to the room it is an absolute hell hole. I really hope I didn't catch something by staying in this hotel. Was too scared to check the mattress. No mini fridge, no shampoo or conditioner, toothpaste, hair dryer, no amenities whatsoever. "Check the vending machine" was the answer we got. Vending machine had 2 foil packets of shampoo going for $2.50. No conditioner. Had to go to the 7/11. TV in room was broken. Dresser drawers wouldn't open. Front desk was friendly enough but didn't do a damn thing about our terrible experience except for give us a MOTEL 6 GIFT CERTIFICATE. Yeah, no thanks. I didn't sleep on under the covers I just used a sleeping bag, but other then that it was fine. But you can realize the people living there.. and having dogs around. The room smells of mold, paint and wallpaper are pealing off of the walls. There are water stains all over the room. No microwave no mini fridge. Was in the ADA room. You can only use the bathroom shower if you brought a shower chair with you but there are hand rails. Bugs were found crawling on the pillow. There was no shampoo and the Kleenex was missing from the dispenser. Furniture placement in room makes it difficult for mobility to use a wheelchair in the room. Nightmare motel! After a long ride in harsh weather, we (two seniors) were greeted after midnight with the wrong kind of room. The clearly inexperienced desk told us she could do nothing for us: no double bed rooms were available, unless we wanted a smoking room on the third floor. Unfortunately, we were expected to pay the full cost of the new room in addition to the price we already paid online. Shocked and dispirited but desperate, we agreed. We were partially rescued at this point by Selim, the overnight desk, who offered to only charge us an upgrade fee instead of the full catastrophe. We walked up long flights of stairs to the third floor with our bags, since the elevator wasn't working, only to enter a foul smelling unsanitary room with no real blankets, rumpled sheets and the most meager amenities imaginable. We didn't much care: we just wanted to sleep. In the morning, my friend discovered a dead cockroach in his bed and the morning light revealed the awful room in its true aspect. When we left, I gently complained to the courteous manager; but all he could do was give a useless number to call. When we left, we saw two police cars--there had just been an arrest. By now this seemed normal: the night before there was a lot of unusual activity (after midnight) in and around the motel. I have stayed at Motel 6's all around the country and always believed that the value equaled or exceeded the price, but this last stay makes me distrust the brand. If you're looking for a 4 star deal; look elsewhere. It is what it is; a cheap place to stay if you're going to be out and about and not spend a lot of time at the motel. Upon arrival the main lobby was in the midst of being remodeled and repainted; not a big deal for me. The rest of the lobby area (coffee room and television room/dining room) was also being redone. The outside exterior of the building is plain and nothing fancy. The room was sufficient for our stay, i.e., clean but noting spectacular. Here a a few items that were immediately noticeable; carpet dirty and could use a good shampoo job; wore shoes at all times. A/C was working but upon inspection found that the air filters in the unit were very dirty and clogged; I just took them out and sprayed them in the shower to remove the layers of dust. Thankfully the mattresses were covered with a plastic sleeve that I didn't open to check for bugs but figured they would have to be some really big and vicious critters to chew through the plastic covering. Now the unacceptable/disappointing features: I booked the room over 3 months in advance and saw a review on another site that stated by a recent customer that a limited amount of refrigerators and/or microwaves could be reserved if reservation was placed in advance. I called 3 months ahead of stay and asked to be placed on the list for these small appliances.The Sunday before my arrival upon calling to confirm booking, I was informed that microwaves and refrigerators were not available period. I was able to get a styrofoam ice container at Walgreen's to keep my medication (insulin) cool; luckily the ice machine in the vending room was working. A front desk employee offered to keep my medication in their refrigerator but I passed on the offer because I like to be responsible for my medication and not rely on someone else to be available for me to ask for it. One of the most disturbing situations was the number of people that loiter around the front of the building; there is a "no loitering" sign posted by the main entrance but the rule is not enforced. It is obvious that there is a large amount of transient guests at this motel. The sign at the front desk states that you can only stay there for 28 days (4 weeks) and then must find other place of residency; after 1 week you may return. i won't ever be returning to this location and although there seems to be a change in the appearance of this Motel 6; I would suggest that the management work on improving the customer service, maintenance and loitering problem at this establishment in order to increase return customers. Remodeling the public areas appearance will do nothing to attract new business. BEDBUGS. STAY AWAY. I stayed in this motel the Monday after Thanksgiving, and left in the middle of the night because we found bedbugs in one of our rooms. After two weeks, I finally managed to get in touch with the manager, who made an excuse and hung up on me. I called him back the next day, and he told me that he was not prepared to refund my money. He claims that he had pest control out, but also says that he is not allowed to provide me the reports they supposedly gave him. This experience severely damaged my trust in Motel 6. read more

Got to the room , no pictures no phone no blow dryer no iron NOTHING - oh there was a big hole in the carpet . I used to go here all the time when it was days inn. They recently changed it to Motel 6 very nice lobby. I love the new TV and furniture in the lobby. the paint and new table is really nice. I also like the mini gym with the laundry room. I like the location of the hotel as well right off the expressway and close to stores, restaurants, and attractions. The room I was in had a fridge and microwave and it was on the 1st floor easy access to the door. I would stay here again next time im in town read more

I stayed here on 3/21/2020 and noticed 2 cockroaches in the room. One climbed out of my trash and another crawled along the floor. I told the front counter and they did not care at all. Stay away from this place. It's a roach motel. And if you check the google reviews for this location you will see that other customers noticed roaches. read more

My expectations were modest, it is a low cost Motel 6. So the hair balls in the corners of the bathroom and smell of cigarette smoke were not a surprise. My problems started when my card key wouldn't open my door. I went to the desk for a replacement, but it didn't work, either. They finally had to let me in with a physical key. The next day, the manager on duty promised me a different room (the desk staff had to use their physical master key to let me in each time) but I would have to wait until a room was cleaned. When I called down an hour later, he was gone for the day and no other rooms were available. So, for three days I had to have the desk clerk let me into my room. Plus, the cleaning staff could not enter to replenish supplies or clean. I told my story to the general manager and he said to see him when I checked out the next day. I expected he would comp me at least one of the four days of my stay. When I checked out, he was not in yet (it was an hour after he was supposed to be there). I left my phone number but he never called. Big surprise!! Most of the staff was polite and apologetic, but powerless to solve the problem. read more

You and everything you own will smell like mold and bleach after leaving this place. somehow every time we returned to the room the smell got worse, and we actually ended up not even staying our final night because we returned to the worst stench of all and multiple cockroaches walking up and down the walls. i would never return to this establishment even if i was paid to do so. absolutely vile and disgusting. when you provide a service like hospitality the least you can do would be to make it habitable by humans. EDIT: When mentioned to the front desk lady about the cockroaches i was told she would make a note of it. When i called back the next day to dispute the extra $150 charge they tried to stick me with without mentioning, Antoine or whatever the managers name was told me everything is fine and dandy because "There are people staying in there right now!".
