Had prior reservations for just one night, as we were in town and wanted to visit some sights in Death Valley National Park. Plenty of parking at this location, and the woman that checked us in at approx 5pm was very nice and polite. She made sure the room she was checking us into was sufficiently cleaned by housekeeping that afternoon. We picked the ground floor, as it was easier to slip right down the hallway when coming and going. The room was a double, and they are very small. The lighting isn't the greatest, and it makes for a dingy, uninviting looking room. It was clean, and smelled freshly cleaned. The shower was the weirdest shape ever....fit into a corner. Water pressure was good, and the water temp was nice and hot. The coffee bar was not so desirable. Yes, it is free coffee....but slim pickings on the creamer and not a very good setup. Just haphazard and almost like putting a sign out that simply says..."here, coffee". The beds were hard, the pillows to soft and mushy and only two on each bed. Be careful getting into the bed as it will literally slide right off the base. Also, too much noise throughout the night....you can literally hear everything in these rooms. It was pricey for what you get, even with an AARP discount. However, I don't know what other options are in this small town. read more

Small Oasis. Stopped for the night and was not looking for anything fancy...which is the right approach here. I like the town, but it is limited in offerings. Happily, the Motel 6 is not only there, it has some vacancies on a Saturday night. A lot of people are here in town staying the night. The local bar down the street is packed! The motel is next to a gas station that has a large. The registrar was helpful to several people ahead of me and got me a room quickly. Room was clean and comfortable. Our plan to go to death valley in February and all of the resorts and any motels are all booked up except for this motel. Just in time for our 2 families, 2 rooms. The facility is well maintained, good wifi signal and comfy beds. We brought our own covers and blankets just in case, but these were not bad. Rooms are not that big but for those price can't expect more. Conveniently located next to eateries and Eddie's candy factory. Close to Death Valley National park. Just 15 minutes in the local area and we were able to enjoy star gazing. read more

Of all things to give 5 stars for, its the shower! No joke, but more on that later. What good is a review without a story attached. We are working in Death Valley for the week and staying in Beatty. The last time we stayed here in November our employer put us up in the Stagecoach hotel, which was nice. On this trip, an extra person came along. Unfortunately the Stagecoach was sold out. I sacrificed my room to him and chose to stay at the Motel 6 instead. Hey, I am a nice guy. I have stayed at Motel 6s before, so my expectations weren't high. But, I am only sleeping here so I don't need much; a bed and a shower. I explained my situation to the desk clerk, he went out of his way to give me the room of my choice at a nice discount. The first thing I did was shower. Let me tell you, I stay in a lot of hotels. I usually hate the showers because the water is always soft and slow. Its a struggle getting soap washed off. The shower at this motel 6 is like Niagara Falls. No joke, its warm and has the pressure of a fire hose. My friends, that is how all showers should work. Front Desk take a good care of us and make sure that our room is clean and tidy and definitely is. Stayed for two nights . Room is Cleaned throughly i can say because the smell of the disinfectant is there but nothing to be concern off at least I know we stayed here safely at this time of pandemic. This place is disgusting. I'll start with the decor. It's old. The pillows are lumpy and not hardly considered pillows. The walls are a terrible orange and the paint job is poor. The bed is tiny and terrible. Now for the cleanliness...The bathroom is ok... except the no slip shower mat which is growing old. The floors haven't been cleaned in ages which is evident by my black feet. I took a towel and wiped the floor a little bit and it's black. For the total lack of amenities, you think this place could at least mop the floors. Gross. The smell is awful. From the hallways which smell like smoke to the rooms which smell like industrial cleaning product (the smell speaks into everything you own) I can't breath. Over priced for a basic small room without the mini fridge, microwave or medium size room the lower priced Motel 6 seem to have. There wasn't even a way to have warm water for tea. Front desk staff rude beyond belief. Hotel smelled like smoke, apparently the smoking rooms are "intermingled." Makes sense...? Wind howls through the main corridor like a loud animal every time the front entrance is used. I drove for hours, finally got to the motel at 945pm. I walk into the lobby, summon a smile and a genuinely kind "hey how's it going" to the worker behind the counter, she angrily asks if I have a reservation, I tell her yes I do......she just cringes and informs me that her shift is over, shes leaving and clocking out, someone else will be here soon and that I'll have to wait for THAT guy to get "clocked in and settled" before i can check in. Wowwwwww. I say nothing, her rudeness and discontent is palpable. I sit in the lobby with all my bags, waiting for the second shift, what choice do i have, its 10pm, I've been on the road for 9 frigging hours and I have a non refundable reservation. So finally the second shift walks in, the woman mumbles something to him, he sees me sitting there with all my things, I assume he clocks in (a real big deal in this lobby as I've heard about it 3 gd times) he doesn't acknowledge me but goes on to take a phone call and get someone on the phone serviced and checked in. Oh good. Great. I'll just keep sitting here with all my stuff like the idiot who cant leave. It's been about 20 min and no one has acted like they give two rat's arses. Finally i stand up and approach, it's clear there will be no greeting, no friendly welcome, no real level of customer service. Look, I don't need you to love your job or do back flips for me as a customer, I'm a real person in the real world, just be cool and not go out of your way to be a jerk off. Luckily, I wont have any reason to be back in that town or Motel 6 ANYTIME soon, I've found other chains hire people who cas n st least fake basic, common courtesy. read more

We called and booked two rooms a few hours before showing up. Nikki was awesome. She checked us in and made us feel like family. Our adjoining rooms on the first floor were both clean and comfy even with our two dogs! It's funny that you can read the reviews and expect the worst, but we actually had a very good experience. read more

I am downgrading my rating as this Motel 6 property continues to decline over time. The greatest improvement required is the option for room cleaning. We stayed four days and nights and noticed that the only rooms cleaned were the rooms where people had checked out. No one even checked to see if our overflowing garbage cans in the room needed to be emptied. Motel 6 needs to go back to the method of having the notice that hangs on a guest's outside door handle that either asks not to be disturbed, or flipping it around and having it request room service. Such a simple thing would work so damn well and easy for motel staff and guests alike. Come on Motel 6, exercise some common sense operating your establishments! Also, the refrigerator did not work in one of our two rooms, and as always there is no Kleenex offered in any rooms, which we consider and essential amenity at any motel/hotel. read more

Largest motel in Beatty. It's uncommon to see a 3 story Motel 6, but Beatty had it. It is surrounded by all the eateries and the Casino, only about a block distance max. The premises was extremely quiet and clean. The lobby serves coffee until 9am, and they have 2 vending machines and an ATM available. It does not come equipped with any additional toiletries i.e, shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. The beds are full size in width and I stand about 5'5, so with my pillow included my toes were hanging off the bed. My brother and Dad who stand at 6'0, both had their legs hanging off the bed as well. The woman working the front desk though was extremely unfriendly. Reading other reviews, it seems like this is a consistent behavior. Maybe she doesn't like her job? I tried to make conversations with her and she never made eye contact and was quick to answer "No," to all my questions. She ended it with a forced smile and "Have a great day." Despite all this, the cleanliness and quietness prevailed. They also allowed for our large Labrador to stay the night which was an Added bonus! read more

This place is ridiculous, even for a motel 6. They don't provide anything, they don't have breakfast, they charge $2 a day for WiFi, you even have to buy shampoo for $3 yourself cause they don't provide it!!! I mean, WTH!?!? AND you have to enter the stupid access code for WiFi every time you unlock your phone. The security latch is broken, I guess they're just not going to replace it. The Bathroom fan is so loud the bathroom sounds like a server room. I'm speech less. Did I mention they charge $69 a night? It's not cheap at all. Choose other places to stay in Beatty. read more

Horrible.. just plain ol horrible try to avoid if u can. The receptionist (young ) did a great job personally and only reason it gets 2 star.. for 74.00 i expected more!!! In vegas you can get alot or even other places. There is no microwave, refrigerator, subway is closest food option. There is no shampoo in rooms 2 hand soap for shower. The beds are out right horrible. I slept on futons and blow up beds that are way better then this. Room was clean but the beds, covers, and pillows w no coffee made it an outright horrible stay probably worse hotel ive slept on comfort wise in 3 yrs of.traveling. if i drive threw the area i will avoid it. read more

I usually don't leave reviews unless something is very wrong or very right! In January 2021, I was traveling and stayed at the Motel 6 in Beatty NV. Irvin Esquivel was the front desk attendant that assisted me when I arrived. She did a fantastic job. She was very polite and accommodating. They were under construction at the time but nothing was loud when I stayed. Irvin also allowed me to check out an hour later than usual because I was very tired from traveling. I also travel with two dogs, and as you know dogs stay free in Motel 6 which can save a lot of money. read more

I have to give this place at least three stars for what it is for where it is. The location is very convenient to the casino, Denny's, Saloon, KC Smokehouse, and gas stations. Located right outside of Death Valley this is a good place to start your day. Drawbacks would be it has no Kleenex, it has no amenities like shampoo conditioner, or even a blue dryer., Just a bar of soap. The towels are clean white and absorbent. The bed is very basic and feels like you're sleeping on a box spring not a mattress, so it is firm and not lumpy. The hangers are attached and won't come off so people won't steal them I guess. There's no coffee pot, telephone, blow dryer, microwave, refrigerator, it's your basic Motel 6 but they left the light on for us. The floors are newer wooden look laminate and the paint on the walls is fresh and clean. Everything in the room is very clean the hotel staff is friendly. Water pressure in the shower is good and the shower stall is new. I would recommend Motel 6 in Beatty if you're passing through or heading toward Death Valley for a day or two. It's a step up from tent camping. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. Management of this branch is abysmal. Their key card reader has been broken for several days, so every time you want to get in to your room, they have to walk you to it and let you in. However, they aren't asking for identification, so it seems entirely possible they'd be letting anyone into any room they please. It seems like the poor workers running the front desk are doing their best, but have been given no resources. Being 1.5 hours from Las Vegas, it seems management would have sent someone down to buy a new key card maker days ago. Checking out early, will NEVER stay again. read more

Normally I don't stop at Motel 6. But I was 70 miles from nowhere and didn't want to sleep in the car so I decided to grab the first reservation I could find. I was pleased the room was very clean. It did not smell like animals or smoke like most Motel 6. No carpet, the room floor was nice vinyl. It had a Nice big bathtub that I really enjoyed. The girl taking my reservation was very nice and patient. Now for the downside the plumbing is very noisy and you can hear people moving around in adjacent rooms. I was so tired I slept through it anyway. There is no shampoo,no hairdryer but I had my own shampoo so didn't really matter. Would I stay here again? Under the same circumstances yes. If I took time to plan ahead and do more research I would probably try one of the other motels. read more

There was only a smoking room available for pet friendly option. Of course, it reeked of smoke but that was expected. What was not expected was the ant trail devouring my pet's food the next morning.. That was certainly unpleasant to wake up to. We were supposed to be tent camping in Death Valley, but the wind was absolutely insane, so we made the trek to Beatty hoping for a break in the wind. Once there, we found ourselves in the midst of a heavy downpour. So, we got gas and saw a Motel 6. I was not in a mood to be picky because anything was better than not sleeping that night, so we took it. I went in and asked the girl behind the counter if there were any rooms available. I was not picky! She had THE WORST attitude. She acted like I was ruining her night. I attempted to make light of the situation by saying that I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the rain, I'd be camping. She mentioned there were "tons of you people that showed up already tonight". So kind. Got into the room and it was dry and warm. Good start. But it's a very basic room. No shampoo, only soap, extremely loud plumbing, bathroom floor was dirty. Would I stay here again? No. Even if it meant sleeping in the car, I'd save my $75 for something better. read more
