    Bartenders special
    Kaela A.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and stopped by for drinks. I was excited to find a tequila/mezcal bar. The bartender was very nice and greeted us as soon as we sat down. We opted for the "bartenders special" which was a mezcal drink. It wasn't too smoky and was quite refreshing. I also got the claudio. Honestly such a great Mexican old fashioned drink. It was perfect! I will definitely be coming back just for that drink. We also got some chips and guacamole to snack on. The guacamole was very fresh and tasty. It was a great first impression of this place and we will be back!

This place.... Wow. The carnitas tacos blew my mind and the horchata milkshake with tequila was so good. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

A solid HH spot for taco tuesday and cocktails. I've never been to a bar/restaurant with a taco grill right at the bar! It was really fun to watch them putting in taco orders while making libations. This spot is VERY busy, they have indoor and outdoor seating and trust me, almost always the tables are filled. Service is definitely on the slower side here, but totally understandable because of how packed this spot gets. Their tacos are small but VERY good and tons of flavors. I would also recommend getting their guac and chips...AMAZING and they give A LOT of guac.

I'm usually fine paying a lot of money for good food or ambiance but Mosto is not one of those places. We came here for a light dinner and was craving Al pastor tacos. So between two ppl we thought three Al pastor tacos, shrimp cocktail and a beer should probably be enough. The tacos were $5.50 a piece so i just assumed they were gonna be normal sized. But to my dismay when the "tray" of tacos came, my jaw dropped when i saw three teacup miniature sized tacos that look like they came out of those miniature food cooking videos on Instagram/tiktok. I actually thought our server was playing a joke on us bc this wouldn't even be enough to feed a small toddler. See the photo below, one taco was only slightly bigger in diameter than a saltine cracker. at this point I'm thinking, these tacos must be the best Al pastor tacos outside of Mexico seeing as how i am paying $16.50 for three bites. But again not the case. They were just okay and I was left wishing I went to chipotle or even Taco Bell instead. Also to add... at this price point I would much prefer Tacko or Nicks crispy tacos, which to be honest are more delicious and also better value. The shrimp cocktail was not bad but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some chips or crackers placed on a dish instead of a few packaged saltines. The service was good (hence I gave them 2 stars otherwise it'd be 1) but I wish they had warned me abt the size of the tacos. I will def not be coming back here as the standout item at Mosto was the saltines and I can get those at Walgreens for $3.

I don't know how I forgot about this place, (but I guess I haven't been to the Mission since COVID) and freaked out when I realized what if they already closed?? After one quick search on Yelp and I'm just so glad to see they're still around. I used to come here every Tuesday for Happy Hour-- and after all these years, I'm still in love with this place. It's a pretty small and dim space but one thing I love is their unique ceiling design! Service is fast and efficient as well. But ofc, I LOVE their Al Pastor tacos so much! The portions are so generous, holds so much flavor, and the sauce is just cherry on top! Will continue to recommend and support this business! Imo, it's so much better than the taco place right next door to it. Hehe

Went here to celebrate my birthday with a friend and the food was a hit, as always! My friend and I really enjoyed the "hamburguesa" the most when we originally went for the tacos + gringa. The ambiance as always is super chill and perfect vibe. The server (forgot to ask for his name) provided us with amazing service throughout our time there. Definitely stopping by every time I'm in SF!

As someone from San Diego, I'm usually picky about Mexican food in San Francisco, but the Al Pastor tacos here are absolutely outstanding! They're packed with flavor, and I don't even mind paying full price for them. The Gringa Al Pastor is also a must-try--equally delicious and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic happy hour spot, especially on a Tuesday. Delicious margaritas and even better al pastor tacos. The space is small but we've never had a problem getting seated pretty quickly, especially if you don't mind sitting at the bar. Not recommended for larger groups. Service is friendly and efficient.

This is a solid Taco Tuesday spot! Al pastor tacos are $2 each every Tuesday 5-7pm. The al pastor here is super flavorful, tender, and juicy. I wasn't even planning on getting too many tacos, but I easily ended up eating seven tacos. The happy hour margaritas are decent, although not too memorable or highly exceptional. Each table also gets some complimentary fried chickpeas, which the server refilled for us automatically once we were running low. One thing I wish I had known earlier was how clubby the vibe here was. I came here to catch up with some friends, and we found it a bit difficult to hear each other over the loud music that was blasting. So don't come here expecting a chill, low-key ambiance, and you'll be just fine! All in all though, we still had a great time and devoured way too many tacos.

Came to Mosto on a Sunday evening after a mezcal tasting event, as they were having a "post-event after party" with discounted drinks and cocktails. It was super packed so we grabbed seating outside near some heating lamps. We grabbed a few mezcal shots, which came with spiced orange slices, as well as the tacos for our group. We also grabbed hamburgers (which came with chips) and quesadilla (came in two a plate). For the taco and quesadilla plates, it came with their house spicy sauce which was delicious. I enjoyed my first trip here at Mosto and will definitely want to come back for good mezcal and mexican food!

A coworker recommended this place, and now I recommend it to everyone. What stands out is the balance--everything is done well. The meat is rich and flavorful, the tacos themselves are just as good, and the consommé ties everything together perfectly. I've tried places where one part is strong but something else falls short, but not here. You also get free sides like onions, cactus, radish, and beans, which make the meal even better. I've been coming back ever since, and I can easily finish three tacos in one sitting. On my most recent visit, I had two birria tacos and tried their birria ramen. It was surprisingly good--comforting and flavorful, more like a homemade dish than anything instant. For drinks, I've tried all their jugos, and the jamaica is the standout--get it in a large. Service: Friendly, efficient, and straightforward. Orders come out at a good pace, and the staff keep things moving even when it's busy. Ambience: The space has a Frida Kahlo-inspired design, which adds character and makes it feel lively and unique. There's one restroom available. Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult in the area, so expect to walk a little--but it's worth it once you get your food. Tacos El Patron is worth the effort to figure out where to park, etc. it's not quite a hole in the wall, but it definitely is on the smaller side, and we ended up getting food to go because it was just easier. The birria quesadilla was a total surprise. It was FILLED with a very generous amount of meat. The meat was tasty, lightly seasoned, and the portion truly is a shareable. We asked about the consommé and I don't know if they just forgot it or what happened but we never got to try it. The shrimp taco was tasty and absolutely filled with again generous amount of shrimps. Ironically, it wasn't my favorite. It just was lacking the level of flavor that I really wanted. The Carne Asada was mediocre at best and not something that I would order again. The winner out of the numerous items that we ordered was the pork belly and the Al pastor. Between the two, the Al pastor is the one that you want. Incredibly well seasoned, a nice hint of light spice, the meat was juicy and tender, and the combination in the taco was outstanding. Seriously so good that my mouth is watering just thinking about how tasty it was. The chips were nothing to write home about, and I didn't really care for salsas that came with the meal. Really reasonably priced, generous amount of food, and absolute worth the push in enjoying their food!
