I met Brandi who did not rush me in taking my time to find a perfect opal pendant. I knew nothing about opals and she guided me to find a perfect fit. She didn't rush me as I was there at closing time. I left very pleased with my purchase. Once I was home I called to see if there were any earrings that would match. I spoke with De Ann the owner. She took videos of two pairs that she thought would work for me. She also had her daughter pose with them in her ears to help me decide, which was difficult, both were beautiful. But with their patience I was pleased with my decision. I was also asked if I would like a bracelet with small Ethiopian opals and I received a photo of them. I was told that if I didn't like the way it turned out that I was not obliged to buy it. However, De Ann made me a gorgeous bracelet with the delicate opals. And I purchased both the earrings and the bracelet. De Ann sent both to me very quickly. I am so pleased with the quality of my opals and the excellent service given to me by both Brandi and DeAnn. When I decided to change the wedding band to go with my halo ring we went to him again. He recommended a curved band with some smallish diamonds in it. I asked almost joking what am I going to do with my original band that had much smaller diamonds in it. He suggested he mount them to my engagement ring shank. I asked how will that look? He said "beautiful". Sad to say, it did not look beautiful. The diamonds were buried in the shank, the tool marks very visible and to make things worse, the mountings were not equally set as far as depth goes. I went to him to let him know how I felt and he offered to put larger diamonds in it. Said those little diamonds are really hard to do. My question: why did he sell me on the idea? James gave me a price to do bigger diamonds that he said was special. I checked around. It was not. So now I have the original wrecked wedding band, and an engagement ring that now looks somewhat homemade. I feel I gave James who seems like a nice guy, the opportunity to make it right. He did not. And he will not get that opportunity again with me. I had met with another custom jeweler here in Santa Fe (MH). We have planned a very thoughtful design with much time involved to remedy the issues and says that if I am not thrilled, he will remake the rings until I am thrilled. I did want a slight alteration and he was happy to do so.

(I know, because that was the same year we bought a car, that we still drive today!) Other than changing batteries, the watch is as good as when I first got it. To be honest with you, I think it was tarnished when I bought it, but I polished it up when I got home. I know this for a fact, because the logo had a bit of patina around it, I thought it was used, but it was new!
