I got three quotes from local businesses for the work and Martinez Brothers had the best price by far. They mowed the front and back yard and cleaned up some weeds in the driveway. They also blew out the dust and cut grass on the sidewalk and curb strip. I think they did a great job at a good price. The person who owns the home is quite picky and was insistent her 4 or 5 plants in the back yard did not get mowed over. Juan not only knew what all the plants were, but was careful to avoid them. The homeowner was also hoping they would trim the overgrowth from the neighbors plants and blow out the patio but overall everyone was happy. Martinez Brothers also offered an excellent rate for bi-weekly maintenance but due to finance issues and anxiety about not always knowing the exact day and time someone would be there, she decided not to take that offer. I have included some before and after pictures to help illustrate the work they did and I would definitely contact this company for work in the future as well as recommend them to anyone looking for a quick clean up or affordable yard maintenance.

There were also repeated issues accessing the backyard because tenants did not leave the gate unlocked, which led to overgrowth and additional work. While I understand the difficulty, communication about these access problems was not consistent. Without timely updates, I couldn't address the issue with the tenants.Sanitation problems were another concern. Dog feces were often left in the yard by the tenants, but again, I wasn't consistently informed, which limited my ability to correct the situation. His work was not impressive, and he gave my mother a hard time over being paid - he INSISTED it had to be done in person, and by only her. She was out of town, so I pulled out the cash to pay him. He then told my mother he was uncomfortable being paid by me, because he thought I may take the cash for myself and then SAY that I paid him. Needless to say we did not ask him to return on a weekly basis. We have now been having an issue with him working on our neighbor's yard, as he refuses to pick up any leaves and will blow them onto our property instead of disposing of them. We have a weekly landscaper, that is not him, and our landscaper actually picks up our leaves and throws them away as opposed to blowing them into the street and onto other's lawns. I have photos and videos of him doing this time and time again, he has even walked around / on our property uninvited. When we approached him and asked him to stop, he argued with my sister and I, and told us to go away, lol. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy business. You should look him up on BBB, I did and was unable to find an "A+" rating as he is not BBB accredited. Really gross behavior for someone running a business. Edit - I'm happy to know that Tom thinks that my review is funny, because his actions very much proved that he is amused by making women uncomfortable. He also has his daughter / family and friends posting falsified reviews about his work, but that's to be expected when you're unpleasant towards others.
