That was my 4th surgery for revisions after having a bilateral mastectomy with immediate DIEP flap reconstruction due to breast cancer. When I started going to Carol my torso area was hard a brick! I was behind the 8 ball in a major way with getting my massages done (about 8 months) due to excruciating wide spread joint pain from fibromyalgia. By the time Carol got her hands on my I was twisted & knotted up MESS! Did you catch that...I WAS... Carol is AMAZING!!! I travel about 50 min to get to her & do it happily! She is worth her weight in gold! She is HIGHLY skilled & how she connects with your body using her fingers, hands, forearms & elbows as her guide will blow your mind! We are now working on scar tissue. NO internal fiber can escape Carol's hands!! She is like a medal detector. Once she gets a "hit" & her "radar" goes off, she gets DOWN in those nooks & crannies & will set you FREE!! Before Carol got her hands on me I could not, without joint pain, twist my torso area, lift my arms above my head, bend over or lift my legs. Now...NOW...I can get into yoga poses I could only DREAM of before!!! Oh yeah....she gives homework assignments. Mine was to do yoga. I communicate with her just like I would my Drs. I don't add to anything without first consulting them. I wanted to start Palaties but she advised against it because palaties is designed to strengthen muscles & at the stage I was in at the time, that would as she explained would strengthen the disfunction I was already dealing with which is the exact opposite of what her goal was for me at that time. If you are suffering in any way in your body, PLEASE reach out to Carol. Help IS out there & she CAN help! Your body will THANK YOU! Following my initial assessment, Ariana advised me to join their small women's group to slowly build my strength as my body transitioned out of the sedentary rut I had been in. The small women's group has been the best money I have spent on my health. The times and the program work for me. And I especially enjoy the personal attention and challenge of the exercise routines. I called the office on Monday and no one answered and then visited as I was trying to be seen. A nice tech greeted me and I was kind to her and I left my callback number and message and was called the next day where the lady said she was sick and I asked if I could have their information to provide to the VA and she said they don't provide that. Then I said ok if they call will you be available later today as I'm in pain and she said no as she's sick and I said ok and we hung up. Then on Friday I contacted the VA and tried to get them to book me here but the office manager told the VA rep no they would not accept me as I was rude to the staff there. Again the above conversation was all we had at this point and then I visited the location and asked to see Dr Jo and she said she wasn't available and I asked for the other doctor and she said I'm the office manager how can I help you. I stated what took place and she said I was rude and they have the right to refuse service. I walked out stating this was ridiculous and they were refusing service to a disabled vet. AVOID this location they don't care about disable vets as a guy who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia I've got PTSD and have been in extreme pain do to my service and I heard these people were good but I guess I was wrong. The office manager has the worst customer service ever. Avoid this place. Update: As I sat in the car writing this review she went to the local postnet business to tell them that I was harassing her and then called the cop on me as I went into the postnet to buy a box. Not sure what her deal is maybe she was intimidated by a brown guy, or maybe she doesn't like brown people, or maybe she's against veterans not sure. Hopefully the doctor reads this.

I knew I was carrying a lot of extra tension, so I decided to try Radiant Health Massage to let my body relax. The website explained the different types of massages and add-on services available. You can also book online! Since I was primarily looking to de-stress, I chose the 60-minute Swedish massage with a sugar scrub for hands and feet. (You can also select 90 or 120 minutes.) I received an emailed receipt and an intake form that went over any important health conditions and massage preferences. When I arrived on the evening of my massage, I parked in the back lot. (It's the one to the left.) I walked up the staircase to the second floor and rang the bell, as the sign instructed. Muriel warmly welcomed me to the office. (It's a room divided with panels. A desk area is in the front and the massage table in the back.) We discussed my primary reason for my the massage (relaxation!) and pressure preferences. Muriel brought me to the massage area and showed me where I could put my things. She noted that a heated pad was on the table, and when I told her I loved this kind of heat, she also pulled out an additional body warming pad to use throughout the massage! She made sure the soft music was okay, and there was also a lovely water fountain. Once I got myself settled, Muriel did her magic. She checked to be sure the pressure was okay several times. I didn't fall asleep, but I entered what might be described as a meditative state. It was really peaceful! The sugar scrubs were also very relaxing, and I really loved the hot towels and lotion at the end. My hands and feet are still soft days later! It was exactly what I needed to help my stress to melt away. At the end, she gave me a small bottle of water and chatted for a bit about bookings. Muriel shared that she's now offering a subscription option. For $65 a month (that goes toward a service), you'll get 15% off the regular massage price. (Muriel told me this amount carries over if you miss a month.) I really enjoyed my massage here. I'll definitely be back--especially when I'm stressed out from grading papers!
