If you are in Stowe, do not miss Miss Glen Falls! The Falls are close to downtown Stowe, easy to get to, and just so beautiful! There is no parking lot. People park on the side of the road. Even those in the worst shape will be able to take the short trail to the Falls. You can climb the rocks to get a view of the Falls from the top. We did that and then we climbed down to wade in the water and see the Falls up close. Spectacular! Even though it was the middle of summer, the water was still so cold! The water was was to shallow for swimming but the trip was well worth it!

So....I'm a waterfall blogger and this is my first waterfall visit in Vermont. I'm a nerd that carries my maps and waterfalls guide in my car and stop wherever I am to find them and then blog the story. If you find yourself in this area and do not stop by Moss Glen Falls in Granville then you are doing yourself a great disservice. This is a 35 foot horsetail waterfall fueled by the Deer Hollow Brook. It's visible from the road and there is a small parking area just past the falls. As you approach the falls you will see a smaller fall called Little Moss Glen Falls. Smaller meaning thinner because it is still 50 feet tall. Bonus fall! There is a little boardwalk leading up to the main fall making this accessible to the handicapped. But otherwise you can go around the boardwalk and walk up close to the falls to really soak in its beauty. Definitely a breathtaking stop!

The natural scenery was absolutely stunning, worth visiting. However, there is no bathroom or portable toilet onsite! I wonder whether people are expected to use nature when they need a release.... It does not seem to be friendly to the eco system to me.

One thing about traveling up Route 100 in Vermont is that there is something beautiful at almost every turn. It's not the road to take if you want to get somewhere in a hurry but it is the route to take to be wowed by central Vermont's scenic splendor. It's the road to take when you're willing to repeatedly pull the car over to check out something amazing. On this latest Route 100 sojourn, we stopped to see these falls. I've been known to go seriously out of my way to see waterfalls but Moss Glen is conveniently located just off the highway. The signs make it impossible to miss. Just pull off the road onto a small parking area. There is a pretty falls to see right there next to the road but if you don't mind taking a bit more time out of your day, you'll find that only a short walk through the woods will bring you to the real McCoy. Magical!

Note this is Moss Glen Falls on Route 100 in Granville! There is another Moss Glen Falls located in Stowe that is completely different. We recently took a road trip through Vermont to see as many waterfalls as possible. One of the ones we were able to easily find was Moss Glen Falls. The Falls are right on Vermont Route 100, and we had no problem finding the falls using Google Maps. The parking area is located right on the road, and is clearly marked with a sign. From the parking area there is a boardwalk going to both Little Moss Glen Falls (to the right), and Moss Glen Falls (to the left). You can just about see both from the parking area, and the walk is very minimal. There is some information at the trailhead. The walk to the falls is very short, and the trail was well-maintained. We visited the small falls first, which were still flowing a little bit in mid-August. I imagine earlier in the season, there would be a lot more water. This is one that flows over rocks and is not very accessible as far as going in the water. The large falls is much larger, and very impressive. Just beautiful! The water was still flowing in late August 2018. Again, I am sure it would be even more impressive with higher water levels in the spring and early summer. The water is beautiful and clear and VERY cold! You could feel the cold air emanating off the water. We waded in, but it was too cold to go for a real dip. What a beautiful place to visit and dip our feet in. We had a lovely time stopping to check out this location and enjoy the beauty of Moss Glen Falls.

Quaint little falls so close to the highway. You might miss it if you blink. We had to double back after driving right past it. There's a little wooden walk way guiding you from the small lot to a nice view of the falls. There are two falls. Both are charming and allow a little bit of reflection time in a busy world. If you're already on Route 100, make this a must-see stop.

This past summer we decided to travel through Vermont exploring the beautiful scenery and as part of our trip we stopped at Glenn Moss Falls. These beautiful falls and the forest that surrounds it was an incredible stop and a great swimming hole. We ended up spending a lot of time here exploring the brook as well as looking at the serenity stones that others have placed. In the end, we loved our time here and we hope that in the future we can return to spend a relaxing summer day here at the falls.

Office staff and line folks were wonderful, however, I seemed to have somehow earned the err of the chief flight instructor who told me that my original training organization was rubbish and that my training and rating didn't count for much. 1st. flt/gift certificate was quickly used up with a flight which ended up with the instructor declaring that there would be no further flight for a few hours as conditions were moderate turbulence. This did not help me as I got berated for my lack of demonstrable ability during the flight. After lunch, the 2nd flight/gift certificate was used to put me thru new (to me) maneuvers where I failed once again to meet the expectations of the instructor. Overall, an expensive and waste of good gift certificates resulting in a demeaning experience for me, which I'd anticipated and hoped would be a wonderful start to my journey back to glider currency. However, Warren airport is ideally located amid wonderful scenery and I'd expect that with their great glider equipment, it would make for an Amazing glider experience for anyone wishing purchase a scenic ride.

It's a small quite airport with primarily just gliders but power planes are based here as well. At least go check out the view and the operations if your in town.
