I've had vision problems since I was 4 years old. I despised going to the eye doctor until 2 years…read moreago when I came to Visionworks. You have the option to make your appointment online, quickly and easily, which I like. As soon as you walk into the storefront, someone at the front desk will send you back to the waiting area. The times I've been in, there has been a very nice woman in the office named Amanda. She'll give you a few papers to read over and sign. It takes 5-10 minutes, max. You can decide whether you want to have your eyes dilated or let them use the Optomap. Optomap is 30 dollars extra but completely worth it, to avoid having your eyes dilated. After doing a few eye tests, you'll go back into the waiting room until Dr. Sasser comes to get you, which will be just a few minutes. He'll call your name and take you to the exam room. If you like a chatty doctor who wants to ask you a million questions about your personal life and tell you all about theirs, he is not the doctor for you. He's all business, WHICH I LOVE! Don't get me wrong, he's very polite, but he wants to be your doctor, not your friend. After the exam he'll explain his findings and ask if you have any questions or concerns. After that, you're pretty much done. You'll head back to the waiting area and pay your bill. From the time you walk into the store to the time you checkout, it takes about 30-45 minutes. All the staff I've dealt with has been very nice and helpful. I like that it's a small office, easy to find your way around, they don't overbook, & Dr. Sasser is more worried about your eyes than where you're going on vacation. He has always gotten my prescription just perfect. I've had issues with doctors not being able to do this. Also, they always have promotions going on so you get your glasses/contact lenses at a discount.

A very good example of a very bad place to do business.   Don't be fooled…read more The gentleman working their front desk on the afternoon of 11/30/2017  was so callous and arrogant, I  felt embarrassed for him. Is this how you treat people excited to spend a few hundred dollars with you?     He made me feel like I wasn't "good enough" and  the $362 I spent that day was with your competitor.  I know my paltry sum doesn't amount to much, but neither does the way you talk down to customers. I don't know what it was.  Upbringing? Poor management?  Poor hiring practices? All of the above?  Probably so. They need to clean house at this place and they know their sales numbers reflect this.   Sure, I read the bad reviews, I just thought I'd give them a chance. Don't regret it like I did. If this universal truth holds any water: Good companies with good products have good customer service in place to boost the experience, then save yourself the humiliation and stay away from this bad company.
