Unfortunately,, this company is not a reliable and reputable business. customer service was fabulous when we were ordering the curtain, but after we started having problems with their cheap hardware and their flimsy curtain, they were nowhere to be found.. They did send us the hooks to hang the curtain with a second time. But they were just as cheap as the first time, and the third time they wouldn't even answer us. And just out of nowhere we have a big rip right in the middle of our curtain. Obviously, we made a bad choice. So sorry I wasted all this money on this flimsy curtain. read more

This product actually MIGHT work for some people. Our deck was too wide. The salesman said it wouldn't be a problem. He was wrong. The wind blows and the curtains instantly come apart. They don't stay together. I believe that the only way this will work is for small patios with low height. Then it might work. Otherwise, I don't think it will. I don't think that the sales team is dishonest. I think the believe what they tell you. Unfortunately, they are incorrect. Ordering You need to triple triple check you have correct measurements for EVERYTHING. Company is VERY good at communicating via email to help with whatever questions you may have and to make sure you are ordering the correct stuff. I really appreciated that. It could get overwhelming. Install: Can take up to a couple days to do if your schedule is busy. Need two ppl to complete. Instructions are easy to follow. Love the fact that they have them as a video format online. The end caps are the real issue we had. Confusing instructions for them, in my opinion. Our net was repeatedly falling off track. We had a tough time getting the tracks attached to our ceiling. Mainly bcuz of the type of ceiling it is (hallowish wood finish). We have a balcony above where we placed net so that's why. But we got it handled for the most pair. Fast shipping. Once received Everything nicely packaged with instructions for the most part. If you ordered too many of something they do take returns for a refund. The "tool rental" option for the snaps is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Worked great! We have some normal space/gaps at the top that we are trying to fill in a bootleg-ish type of way. Although this net was strictly to keep mosquitos out (which it has done an EXTREMELY GREAT job of doing), we also use it for wasp and all other flying insects. We tend to get wasp and moths that find out how to wiggle its way through our gaps up top. Once we completely close it, think that small issue will stop. The net does an EXCELLENT job!!! TERRIBLE. I do not recommend this product to anyone solely for the fact that it's a custom sized product which requires working with their planning team - something they state they offer with all orders but was not offered with my order. The result is a terrible experience with sloppy looking mosquito curtains. I even asked for a planning session, and was told they don't offer these for all orders. The result? A very sloppy designed solution for my deck that has multiple zippers and requires climbing a ladder just to adjust the curtains. If John had offered a planning session as THE WEBSITE CLEARLY STATES WILL HAPPEN, this entire issue could have been avoided. Instead, I was sent (and paid for!) SO MUCH excessive hardware that I could install several more mosquito curtains without any additional supplies. Not only that, but when I contact the support team to inform of this issue stemming from the lack of planning session, their response is to not only charge me $25 for 1 curved tracking piece, they want me to pay shipping as well. All of this back and forth, and the expectation for me to pay for the additional hardware, all because a planning session didn't take place? What an absolute joke this entire experience has been. The "satisfaction guarantee" page states several reasons customers are unhappy with the product and all are due to user error. In my case it's in fact the exact opposite - I read the instructions on your website and had my expectations set from that. YOU were the ones to drop the ball by not having a planning session that your website clearly states will happen, and YOU were the ones to not confirm if curved or right angle tracking would be more appropriate. I'm incredibly disappointed in this company. If it wasn't so obvious that Kurt put a lot of effort into this small family-owned business, I would be moving to return this entire order as it's been non-stop issues. read more

I have never encountered such terrible customer service. I called them to ask some questions before I place an order for curtains with tracks, to be installed in my patio. I wanted to be thorough and get it right the first time. The woman who answered the phone sounds like I was inconveniencing her with my questions. She either couldn't answer it, had to ask someone next to her or kept referring me to submit pictures of my patio for some very general questions. Questions like how many carrier snaps are provided per foot of panel (In case I need to order extra) and what's a common part of the curtain that wears out first (so I can strengthen that part with their webbing material or add more carrier snaps). I mentioned I want to make sure it can stand up to strong wind and in case my 3 year kid tugs at it. She quickly tells me it will not survive a hurricane like I'm an idiot who thinks curtains can survive hurricane winds and then has the audacity to tell me that I should learn to control my child. The final straw is when she laughs and says the owner of the business is next to her and he says his product is not for me (WOW!) Just because I'm worried about how the curtains hold up in real life situations. Even if they're right, their curtains are only meant for the places with low wind and families with no active little kids, she did not have to be so rude and condescending. What really blow my mind is that the owner was standing right there and he not only would condone but encouraged such behavior! Unbelievable. read more

I live in MD,on a tributary to the Bay, across the street from the water. I moved here several years ago; I have never seen mosquitoes like I have here. I can get five bites just going from my driveway to my front door. I built a metal frame house, and Kurt and crew built a "sock" to go over it (custom job dimensions). It was pricey, but so 100% so totally worth it! My big, beautiful deck was literally unusable before. I don't like to bathe in DEET, but it is all that works outside without the screen. Thanks to Mosquito Curtains, I have reclaimed my outdoor space without washing myself down in DEET. You will not be disappointed. read more

We ordered these for our balcony overlooking a creek full of mosquitos. They ended up looking really great (from inside they are just as easy to see through as a regular window screen). I have had these for several years. Not cheap but very functional. If you are using them to enclose a porch in a relatively protected area, these are perfect. I have had them for 3 years and they are great. However, if you have an area that is windy, you do not want these. I installed about $4000 worth of them at my lake home and they were completely destroyed in less than 3 months. The clear plastic ripped and the sewed areas stripped out. Very disappointing considering the cost but it was my decision to try them. As I said, the ones at my house have done wonderfully but we don't have higher winds (above 30 mph). read more

I love our new Mosquito Curtains! We live outside of the city, with a beautiful heavily wooded view in our backyard. We were desperate to rid ourselves of mosquitos, but also wasps that were making nests in our ceiling fans and every area possible on our back deck. Then we started to get birds. They would come in, pack a great nest, and leave droppings everywhere! Our deck furniture was getting ruined and it wasn't a peaceful place to relax anymore. We ordered our Mosquito Curtains, and corresponded back and forth with Aaron who was so helpful and patient with me. The curtains were not a piece of cake for us, as we are not the handiest people in the world, but we got them up none the less, and the outcome has been fantastic! Set aside a Saturday to get them up. (We ordered the tracking, not velcro) Aaron at MC made sure I ordered all the accessories I would need, and he was right on the money. I am so impressed with my curtains, that I am ready to hang some up our bottom deck. I may even apply for a job at MC because I believe in their product so much! After reading the last review, I'm glad I didn't get these curtains. I tried to buy some curtains for the winter but was repeatedly ignored. Even after talking to someone there and being told that they send me a measuring template, I never got it. You can tell if a company cares about their customers by customer service and promptness. This company lacks it. The website says you can get them sent in 5-7 business days. After a month I'm still waiting for someone to call me back. read more

Hi Kurt, Recall that we live on a boat. Recall also that I suffered West Nile Virus encephalitis last year, given to me by some passing mosquito, and that we needed to protect my wife before the upcoming mosquito season. Finally, recall that you made up curtains for the open-able windows in my boat and that the curtains had black mosquito mesh held inside 1-inch wide white belts. When they arrived, we put in the first snaps for the first curtain, then went on to do all of them, and the results are fantastic! The curtains are just elastic enough so we can pull them 'tight' over the wood frame outside the windows and get a good enough 'seal' to prevent mosquitoes from entering along the sides. And, the curtains block very little light and none of the view, just as we had hoped! After installing the six curtains over the outside windows, we came inside and put up the curtains under the two skylights. Again, everything worked perfectly. Amazingly, from the outside, you do not even notice the curtains. Instead of heavy, awkward very light-blocking holey canvas, we found a great, inexpensive, successful solution. read more
