    Charcuterie and Lemon Basil Cider.
    Bryan D.

Class act Taproom with tons of beers on tap and great offerings for non-beer folk with tons of ciders, wine and seltzers. Great snacks available and you can even bring your own food. Super clean and very friendly staff. Would be an epic place for after a softball tournament-drown your sorrows or celebrate the big win. Either way...perfect place. Just had the charcuterie and Lemon Basil Cider 5 stars. Highly recommend.

We had the pulled pork sandwich, grilled cheese, grilled chicken burger, spicy chicken burger, cheesesteak sandwich, bread and butter (maple butter yummmm!), and affogato for dessert. The side salad had an apple cinnamon vinaigrette which was fabulous and unique. Other standouts were the homemade bbq sauce and feta ranch. Just writing this makes me want to go back already. We were served by the manager who had great energy and a passion for the food. She said she is creates a lot of the recipes which we thought was super cool. Good sized dining room with some booths and tables. There is an outdoor patio as well with maybe half a dozen tables. Lastly, everything was clean. Gard checked all the boxes and exceeded expectations. Honestly one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

It's a must visit for those coming from out of town who want to enjoy afternoon or evening filled with curated pleasures, wines, beers, tasty small bites, and truffles. Bruce keeps me coming back because, well, I like him, he's engaging to talk to. He also offers unique and high-quality wine selections, including a wide variety of reds, whites, and in-betweens. He has plenty of both still and bubbly options, which is very rare around here, and his palette is excellent. He's talented at introducing people to new flavors that fit their tastes, and I now have some stellar WA wines on my favorites list thanks to him. And I appreciate that he features WA wines only (except for bubble options, I believe) because drinking a region's wine is a great way to get to know it better. Speaking of bubbles, he actually found me more than one WA option that I really enjoy, and I say actually because 1) I'm very picky, and 2) WA doesn't make many ones that suit me in my overall experience. He works magic. The atmosphere at Roost showcases the owner's creative side, with a boutique flare and fun household and life accessory finds that are available to buy but also act as part of the eclectic decor that has a rural chic French vibe. (See the antlers picture for an example). I can't imagine surviving here without this oasis.

It's a fast-casual burger spot with great drink options and a vibe that reminds me of a nicer Red Robin. The staff was super friendly and we got seated right away, even during the lunch rush. I wasn't working, so I treated myself to the margarita flight, which came with four mini margaritas: classic, blueberry kiwi, guava, and strawberry. They leaned a little sweet (expected with the fruit), but they were still really fun and flavorful. I was in the mood for something lighter and went with the California Salad. It was a huge portion, packed with chicken, blue cheese, and fresh toppings. Super crisp and satisfying. My mom ordered a cheeseburger, and it was massive! The bun looked fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted. It came with unlimited steak fries, and when she asked for them extra crispy, the waiter brought them right out -- no problem. If you're looking for a solid burger with good drinks and friendly service, I definitely recommend Rock Top!

All the food was fresh, hot and delicious. The tomato bisque was exceptional! Terry, the cook, came out and said hello, asking me how I liked the meal. I let him know that I'm a trained chef, and his meal was fabulous! The waitress said he's worked there for 15 years, that his specialty is prime rib, served every Saturday. I will definitely be back for that. This bar has been here 85 years, and I moved here 30 years ago but had never been here till this evening. I'm guessing the food here is better than most of the restaurants in Wenatchee. The decor is plain and simple. The ambience is what you would expect in a local bar with a long history and a loyal local clientele. Nonetheless, the service was excellent and the staff was friendly. Even being charged a 4% credit card processing fee, food pricing is better than other restaurants. So are the quality and portion sizes. New tables and chairs with cushioned seating fill two dining rooms. And there is plenty of offstreet parking. All things considered, it's worth the 20 minute drive from Wenatchee down to Rock Island, just to enjoy the food and the drinks. I don't think anyone gets turned away here. What's not to like? This was a five star experience for me.
