First note: noise alert! This place gets a 5 out of 5 for noise…read more We came here the night before Thanksgiving. The place was packed! Unfortunately, the diner to waitress ratio was off. Our food took a long time. The good part: an interesting menu, and the food was quite good, worth the wait. I had the Ram Jam burger: a burger with cheese, bacon, and onion jam. Different and good. The fries were particularly nice. Go on a quieter night.

Better Days is a somewhat dingy bar that serves cheap food and drinks…read more There are two other locations with bars on Main Street -- Hamar's (total dive) and Beef Haus (more of a restaurant than bar). Better Days is the "middle ground" between those two. I had their wings, which were good (but not great for this region), and are deep-fried in front of you at the bar by the bartenders. There are a variety of different sauces to choose from, I went traditional with the "hot" sauce, which was a standard buffalo sauce. Wings didn't crisp up as much as I generally prefer them, but the sauce was good. No breading, thankfully. I believe breaded wings are verboten in western NY. The service was a bit spotty, e.g. bartenders forgot to provide me with napkins, and were generally distracted, but it was a busy Thursday evening, so maybe they deserve a little slack? No way! Bad bartending grates on me. If you're a beer-pouring, shot-slinging bartender type who is not able to mix decent cocktails, you should at least be on-point with service. One other thing about this place that annoyed me were the low/short bar-stools that were not high enough for a man of average height to eat off of the bar top. I literally was eating my basket of wings off of my lap. Go to Better Days and try to eat something at the bar, and you'll see what I'm talking about. What other options does someone have who is visiting Wellsville? If you've already tried Beef Haus, you're SOL. This is why I don't think that a visit to Better Days is a bad idea if you're in Wellsville for more than a day. If nothing else, it's an affordable dining and drinking option.

I've never been served such a massive, heaping bowl of mac 'n cheese before in my life... no wonder…read morethis chain (7 locations) has gotten featured by Food Network and is known as the home of the mac 'n cheese. Had a delightful experience at this Market Street location in Corning. Welcoming, playful atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. I had been craving chicken wings, so the boyfriend and I ordered a 10 count of gold bbq chicken wings. To be fair, this might have been a mistake given the ample size of the mac 'n cheeses that we had each ordered too...but c'est la vie. The gold bbq was delicious and we made it through 8 of the 10 wings before our mac 'n cheese bowls arrived. My Kenny Pow Supreme mac 'n cheese came with sausage, onion, green peppers, pepperoni, and bacon mixed in & was topped with cheddar cheese, as well as panko for some extra texture. Even after not having eaten anything else that day before the chicken wings, I could only make it through about 1/3 of the whole size mac 'n cheese before tapping out... but omg, was it tasty. TL;DR Love the vibe, delicious food, and great staff. Will definitely be back!

Plus a monthly-changing feature. What we had was generous and scrumptious: one named for their pal Kenny Pow: Sausage, onions, green peppers, pepperoni, and bacon, with cheddar and panko. We took a seat in the back with a view of the mountains and started to watch the skiers. The dining area was large and clean, and the waitress came and got our food and drink orders moving quickly. Our little yelper opted for none other than the children's tenders. She ate almost all of them and the fries, they got a thumbs up review. The waitress was even nice enough to hook our kid up with a nice helping of pickles too. The misses opted for the pulled pork melt, even with the mafia sauce she told me it was rather bland in the flavor department but the onion rings were sizable and crispy. I opted for the chicken Caesar salad, but there was some miscommunications in the kitchen and I wound up with steak (not a bad thing) but our waitress asked if it was ok. Steak was cooked perfectly and the salad itself was piled high. Overall, not a bad dining experience, it should be a 3 , but the awesome service took it up a notch. She really helped make the meal more enjoyable.
