We stop here everytime we're in Coudersport. Super friendly enviroment. It is a smoking bar, however I could hardly notice. ( I never smoked) . Their is a nice outside deck to enjoy the views. And also a non smoking dining area. Great place to watch sports. And the food is to die for.

Enjoying what's left of the warm weather!!

Better Days is a somewhat dingy bar that serves cheap food and drinks…read more There are two other locations with bars on Main Street -- Hamar's (total dive) and Beef Haus (more of a restaurant than bar). Better Days is the "middle ground" between those two. I had their wings, which were good (but not great for this region), and are deep-fried in front of you at the bar by the bartenders. There are a variety of different sauces to choose from, I went traditional with the "hot" sauce, which was a standard buffalo sauce. Wings didn't crisp up as much as I generally prefer them, but the sauce was good. No breading, thankfully. I believe breaded wings are verboten in western NY. The service was a bit spotty, e.g. bartenders forgot to provide me with napkins, and were generally distracted, but it was a busy Thursday evening, so maybe they deserve a little slack? No way! Bad bartending grates on me. If you're a beer-pouring, shot-slinging bartender type who is not able to mix decent cocktails, you should at least be on-point with service. One other thing about this place that annoyed me were the low/short bar-stools that were not high enough for a man of average height to eat off of the bar top. I literally was eating my basket of wings off of my lap. Go to Better Days and try to eat something at the bar, and you'll see what I'm talking about. What other options does someone have who is visiting Wellsville? If you've already tried Beef Haus, you're SOL. This is why I don't think that a visit to Better Days is a bad idea if you're in Wellsville for more than a day. If nothing else, it's an affordable dining and drinking option.

Everything was clean and maintained well. Our server came over and took our drink order. The drinks came out quickly. My 7&7 was strong and hit the spot. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch Mac & cheese and an order of garlic Parmesan wings. The food came out fairly quickly and man o man! Everything looked and smelled awesome. Mac & cheese ohh so yummy and such a huge portion, and it was only a side portion. The wings..... the best I've had in such a long time. Perfectly cooked. Generous and flavorful sauce. Bleu cheese, house made, equally as good as everything else. Everything was good and a fair price. We left happy, and full.

We ordered the Rodeo Mac and Cheese and the Bacon Chicken Ranch Mac and Cheese (both in the whole size--think 5-6 cups each!), plus the Rodeo Burger, which comes topped with BBQ pulled pork and crispy onion straws. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, and even with our family of five, we still had leftovers. So. Much. Food. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We ate downstairs, though there's a bar upstairs if that's more your vibe. Our waitress was super friendly and even tried to warn us that one whole mac would be plenty--but we wanted to try both flavors, so next-day leftovers were just part of the plan. Pricing felt very reasonable for the giant portions and the quality. Mooney's is one of those restaurants that knows exactly what it does well--and does it really well. We'd definitely come back!

The help is great, cheerful employees to see when you order your food. Waste of $30 to taste something that could have been used to clean a sink with. Where is the fresh dough I remember!? Is this location just cost cutting and getting lazy with the teens they have hired or what?! Not to mention, the dilapidated interior that is becoming in disrepair. I don't think they're going to be around much longer at this rate. Get your pizza at OIP, as it's been the same great pizza it always has been for years and is reliable! Disappointed and unsatisfied we drove down to see family to get what we remember as good pizza.
