I ordered 3 dinners from China Garden on April 10, 2025 and it was the worst meal I have ever paid for. The Sesame Chicken had no flavoring or sauce and my first bite of chicken there was a sharp bone in it. The 2 Orders of Mai Fun had no taste and again no seasoning on it. The chicken in was small squares of chicken, it must have been frozen or canned. I will never order from here again. And warn everyone don't order from here. It is like most other Chinese food places across America. It is run by a very nice family. We live about a half hour drive from here but this is my wife's favorite place within driving distance for Chinese food. I have never had an order messed up from here. I can't say that with a lot of places. We have ate at all the places from Mansfield to Olean and this is the best I believe. They do have online ordering but they do sometimes have specials that are not listed online. I had the pineapple chicken the other day and it was very good. Is it the best Chinese food in America? The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. This is our favorite Chinese food spot. We get cheese wontons, general tsos, chicken and broccoli, and chicken noodle soup. The food is always consistent. The service is amazing. The owners are so friendly and it is such a welcoming environment. They are always so appreciative of our business. My boyfriend and I go often enough that they remember our exact order. I can't say enough good things about this business. Very friendly staff. They welcome my GF and I to Coudersport. Hunan Chicken was delicious. Cabbage, carrots, onions, green peppers, baby corn, black bean sauce and spicy sauce were perfectly marinaded and stir fried. The pork fried rice was nicely seasoned. Egg rolls were crispy and stuffed perfectly. My girlfriend's vegetable Lo Mein was delicious also. The noodles were perfectly cooks. Baby corn, broccoli, celery, mushroom and green pepper were fresh. We were staying in town and found this small family run Chinese restaurant. We were pleasantly satisfied that the food was very delicious and authentic. The portion is large and very fresh vegetables and meat; sauce is very tasty (not salty). The family is very nice and they have their kids' wonderful art work on the wall. read more

This is a chinese restaurant right in downtown coudersport, right on the main strip in downtown Coudersoport Pa. In this town they have like this place, a sheetz and a mcdonalds. The food here was alright, we went there for lunch one day and decided on it because of the lack of anything else. There were like 2 or 3 other couples also eating at the same time. They had both tables and booths to sit in, we chose a booth. The people who ran it were most likely the owners, they were running back and forth, while their little kid was coloring in a coloring book. It was mostly decorated in white and green, and they had a small aquarium. The food was pretty standard, I mean it wasnt all that, but i didnt get sick afterwards too. We just had orange chicken and lobster suace with chicken fried rice. We got our food after not too long, and proceded to eat. the thing that annoyed me the most was that we said goodbye when we left, and they looked right at us and didnt say anything at all. i mean no "okay" no "bye" no "pukache" no nothing, how ignorant. They also did not have any take-out menus, that was totally annoying. read more

My friends and I really liked this place. The food was good and the service was great. I ordered the broccoli with garlic sauce. The sauce was savory and the broccoli was nice and crispy. We also ordered vegetable spring rolls which were good, too. The atmosphere was nice. My favorite part, though, was that the owners' kids hung their art on the walls and even had some for sale. The food was really good. We had Hunan beef and noodle soup. The owner was very friendly and customized our dishes to add more vegetables. I have eaten at the China Garden in Coudersport a few times - I live in Downtown Coudersport and was offended by the statement made in Dan R's review that there was a "lack of anything else". Just 2 blocks away we have a Subway Restaurant, OIP (Original Italian Pizza), and the slightly more expensive but also more upscale offerings of Olga's Cafe and the Crittenden. Outside of town (but no more than 2 miles out) are 4 more restaurants, as a quick google search would have told Dan R. I had to write a separate review since there was no way to counter-act the mis-informed Dan R. without doing so. As far as the China Garden itself goes, yes, it is not a major chain so no, it doesn't have "The Chinese Food that You are Used to" but it does have good food that, as Dan said, doesn't make you sick. If you are looking for good Chinese food in Potter County, this is the place to go. read more
