Came by this restaurant on route to Virginia from Toronto and wanted some Chinese food as comfort. I can confidently say that this restaurant is better than quite a few of the restaurants in toronto. The staff was super friendly and kind. The food is definitely not too salty and tastes pretty fresh. The restaurant looks family owned. We ordered three lunch specials which fed 6 of us. Beef w/ Broccoli - 9/10 Chicken w/ mixed vegetables - 9/10 Sweet and Sour chicken - 7/10 Overall would stop again if were in the area. read more

We have Chinese food once a week and this is the only place we'll go. The food, whether a single order or the buffet, is always hot, fresh and delicious. Last night was our weekly order and again I couldn't be happier. Amy, the main waitress, is always smiling and happy to see us. She was knows our names and even our 2~year old's birthday. Our little girl runs to give the waitress a hug and has photos of the two of them. I highly recommend Ling Lings if you're in the area and enjoy authentic Chinese food. read more

We stopped by while traveling back from Canada and were craving Chinese so looked at reviews and stopped at Ling Ling. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. The food was horrible and the waitress was downright rude. Everything was served in plastic containers and no plates. Felt unsanitary and unkept. I don't know how they are in business. A great experience We were a group of 9 Indian vegetarians driving back from Niagara on Memorial Day. We thought we'd be able to find some edible food in this place when every other store was shut. But it really was good. Our waitress was Amy, the owner's 12 yr old granddaughter, who was really attentive and nice. When we explained that we couldn't have meat, she made sure the chef knew this and told us which options would be best for us. We had veg lo mein, fried rice, spring rolls and broccoli with garlic sauce. She had told the chef not to add any eggs or any sauces and it was perfectly spiced with only a little chilli sauce. She got us extra sauces so we could add what spices we wanted. And for a sweet finish, she gave us a bag of extra oolong tea bags, and guava candy to have on the road. I recommend this place just based on this subjective experience. The food was tasty too. One must remember that this is a Chinese restaurant in a small town that usually doesn't get a mixed crowd and will accommodate to the most of their abilities. We came on a Sunday at about 3pm and the place was empty. The waitress was immediately attentive to us though. We opted for the buffet since we just wanted to be in and out with our little ones. At first I wasn't too impressed since I could tell everything had been sitting out a little while. However, I could hear the cook in the back start cooking and within 10 minutes there was fresh food put out throughout the buffet. Prompted just by us. I was impressed. Other people came in about 15 minutes after that but I was happy that they accommodated us. Of all the things we tried, the pepper steak was my favorite. Egg rolls were great too. My favorite restaurant in Ridgway. The staff are so friendly and sweethearts. I love the lo mein and chicken and broccoli. The rice is so fresh. The egg rolls are my absolute favorite here. The general tso's is different but still delicious. The buffet and other prices are SO CHEAP. 10/10 recommend you eat here! read more

I have been to some great Chinese restaurants in a number of small towns, this isn't one of them. I was in town for a motorcycle event and I ended up walking around main street looking for a bite. I almost walked past Ling Ling's but I noticed they a sign on the door that said "buffet". I was seated and the waitress walked away after I said I wanted they buffet. I found out that if you wanted a drink you had to get it yourself. The plates and cups were Styrofoam, and the silverware was plastic. The buffet consisted of about 10 or so dishs plus some soup and dessert. Some of my favorites tasted and looked completely different from what the label said. The food was cold in some parts and generally poor quality. I noticed a trash can, so I bused my own table and went up to pay the check. The bill was very low but I could have walked down to Subway and got a foot long sub for about the same price. I will not be going back to Ling Ling. Also they do not except credit/debit cards. read more
