Don't let that scare you though, I promise you will be so happy once you bite into one. Plus it's all cute and spirally Now if you can eat more than one item, go all out then! An adorable older couple runs the shop and goods are baked daily. If you want specific items, it may be worth pre-ordering on their site to ensure they don't run out. If you take a ship in like I did, it's a 20 min drive from port. However, it's surrounded by a lot of great restaurants & sites to see. Staff is so nice but keep in mind they close at 8pm each night. We went near closing and had no line, but I have heard lines build during the morning.

Order your food at the counter and find a table in the cozy cafe. Our order of croissants and cafes were placed on stainless serving dishes. They had lots of the local sweet breads in boxes to take with you. We enjoyed the smoked salmon on fresh bread plus a few sweet danish. Now that we enjoyed breakfast, on to the fish market for our next course(s). We enjoyed a lovely day in port and would return to enjoy more time as a local.

It was covered in powdered sugar and when I dug in, it looked like I was back in college, partying really hard, since my mouth and nose was covered in that fine white powder. The chocolate was crusted all over the spiraling interior of the pastry and it was just a total sugar rush for me for the rest of the day. During my second visit, I got their turon ensaimada which looked a little different since it wasn't in the same spiraled pastry format, it looked more like a sweet calzone with almond filling. This time I knew to shake the pastry over a trashcan to make it rain that sweet white angel dust, but again, the pastry was still super sweet. Though the turon filling did give it a nice balance, I still liked the chocolate ensaimada more. If you do decide to visit and try something from here, be ready for the sugar rush!
