I've driven by the truck several times when it's been in Rantoul. There is always a line out front. So I thought I'd stop this time and see what's up. They are legit! I got steak; tongue; and pastor tacos. The steak was a tiny bit chewy. The tongue was excellent, and the pastor was honestly some of the best I've ever had! Bottom line. Delicious Burrito. It's my first time visiting/trying their food. I'm in Champaign for a bowling tournament. After the tournament, I was hungry and I want to eat some food before going on my 145 mile drive North to where I live. Mo's came up and I went. I passed the location the first time because I didn't think it's a food truck. I circled back and parked. I ordered a steak burrito. It came with two little containers of green and red sauce. I got my order within a few minutes and jumped into my car. I ate the burrito in my car. Soo hungry! Burrito tasted very good w/o sauce. Then, I tried both sauce. Man... It's delicious! The service at Mos food truck is unmatched. My boyfriend and I DoorDash from here regularly and finally tried their food for the first time, I will be craving this chicken burrito for the rest of my life. Once when picking up we were attacked by a woman who was waiting for her food, it was simply terrible timing to be stepping up to the window. The worker who was being yelled at by the woman took the time to make sure we were okay and apologized to us the next time we were there. So, we ordered a chicken tamale, tacos el pastor, tacos carnitas, green enchiladas, and chips with guacamole. Mixed results. The tacos were decent, but needed the extra sauce to really bring them up. The enchiladas, also decent. Didn't blow us away, but we were, like, "Yeah. That's ok." The tamale had an interesting flavour, but the texture was somewhat greasy which made it hard to eat the whole thing. The quac was actually pretty good...good texture, with tomatoes mixed in with the onion and avocado. The chips, though, while clearly house made, we far too oily. We at a few just so we could get some of the quac, but we had to throw out more than half the chips. Just getting something storebought would have been better. The oil seemed kind of bitter, and after about 5 chips my tummy starting to warn of revolt if I continued. All in all, maybe some stuff is good enough to try again. read more

My husband and I LOVE steak tacos and have visited almost every place in CU. This place is our new favorite stop right now. It's totally a hidden gem... tucked away in an unassuming mattress parking lot... behind a massive ice machine. Really good tacos at reasonable prices. The pastor is tender and flavorful without being overwhelming or salty, and is in my opinion the best pastor in town. Chicken tacos and steak/chorizo are decent, haven't tried lengua yet. Salsas also great, both green and red. Burritos are large and filling. The nachos are decent, but can be had better elsewhere. I was in Champaign visiting my student and we felt like something quick to eat. I stumbled across Mo's and immediately knew that it was going to be good. First, don't expect a fancy sit down kind of place. Thus place is a true "joint." There is seating but it's a little rustic. The lady behind the counter asked what we wanted and all I knew was that we wanted tacos. I ordered a variety of tacos and she asked if I wanted something that I didn't understand. I asked her if it was good and she said very good. Of course I took her suggestion. We left with a brown paper bag that smelled awesome. These tacos and the salsa was so good I couldn't believe it. I finally tried this place after driving by their taco truck for years on Prospect. I always see a lot of cars and people there which should have been the first clue. They have some of the best tacos in the area, but imo definitely have the best nachos. Their homemade tortilla chips are insane. I always get the steak nachos and sometimes a steak taco. read more

Update: I went in again and got a free taco because the person somehow recognized me and felt bad about giving me an American style vs Mexican style taco last time. I'm not sure how she remembered but it felt great to receive such good customer service. The steak was on point and the campechano (steak/chorizo) was incredible again. 5 stars. read more

Would definitely go back! Incredibly friendly customer service, good prices, and great food. Highly recommend the al pastor tacos. I love grilled pineapple on tacos as it's very sweet and compliments the meat well. I'm not sure that there was pineapple in the taco, but maybe the meat is marinated in pineapple juice? Usually this place is super delicious. I always get the al pastor but the last two times the meat had no flavor at all, like the sauce was watered down. The first time I thought maybe they were running low or something but last night it was the same & it even had a weird taste like it was old. I assumed it was the tortillas that had the weird flavor & I just covered the tacos in lime & salsa. I jokingly said if I get sick I know why. Mo's (or Mas Amigos, as it used to be called) is a GEM of a bargain-end Mexican eatery. An old fan of the place took me there last night, and I was impressed with every part of the meal: the perfectly spiced horchata, the delicate, freshly fried chips (some of the best I've had) with fresh salsa, and my 3-taco plate with rice and beans (just $8.80-something). (The rice was ok, just a bit clumped together in places). I had one steak, one al pastor, and one Campechano taco (steak and sausage) on little, authentic Mexican-style soft tortillas. The two of us ate for $20 and were stuffed! Our waiter was very pleasant. I was even impressed by the men's room, which was spotless and attractively painted. Mo's is not a place to go for Mexican decor and atmosphere, and it's easy to miss as you drive south into downtown Champaign, but I'll definitely make it my affordable, spur-of-the-moment Mexican go-to. Mo's Burritos has hands down the best steak tacos in Champaign-Urbana. They actually might be the best steak tacos I've ever had in my life. Their elotes are also very delicious. Whenever I am craving Mexican food, I always ask myself, "do I want some decent Mexican food at a dine-in restaurant or do I want the best Mexican food in town at a run down little food truck?" This place always has a decent amount of people ordering at it but not a ton of reviews so I need to help out here. As someone who's often on a budget and addicted to eating food and not making it, this place quickly replaced any cheap meals I would normally get fast food for. Fantastic tacos, which is all I've gotten, chicken, steak, and tongue are all cooked perfectly. I'll get 2 tacos Mexican style with lime for 4 bucks and be totally satisfied, these people should head down to campus and make some real money sometime because it's absolutely the real deal but it's always in the same place. read more
