No grass would grow there. His stone was always covered in mud every time they watered. It was horrible!!! So we found a way to make it where we could visit with him and not end up with caked mud in our shoes or having to clean it every time. We laid down artificial turf after we could not get grass to grow, lined it with bricks to keep it in place. And they did nothing about it. NOTHING! Now we are being told we can't have any of it. Only two vases on the ground (where the rabbits can destroy them), a professional grave marker, and a single small item. I am spitting mad right now and devastated we have to go back to the cesspool. We took care of it, kept it neat, and this is what we get. I feel like we were taken advantage. Took our money and left us to deal with this.

He sent photos to me of caskets in the color I wanted for her. He even texted which was convenient since I work full time and can't always take a call. When we changed our mind to cremating he helped us and sent us a catalog to review and continued answering our questions. He made sure we didn't miss anything and helped guide us during the difficult time. The staff there were so professional and kind. The mortuary was well maintained and I love that it's historic. She assisted me with information due to the difficulty of the county my father passed away. After some other calls I decided to use Valley of Peace. The process was done very professionally. My father's viewing was in the Santa Clarita location. Although it is not your typical chapel or funeral home, don't let the location fool you, inside was beautiful and the atmosphere felt very intimate. I had over 35 people there and it wasn't crowded. There were comfortable chairs and they also provided coffee. My father looked great and overall the experience was fantastic. I highly recommend Valley of the Peace.

After months of avoiding making calls regarding cremation for one of my twins that will be…read morestillborn at delivery, I reached out to Angels Cremation. I had the delight of speaking with Elver. Elver and I discussed my current situation. Before even continuing the conversation, Elver was extremely empathetic and compassionate which is truly a blessing as a loss parent with disenfranchised grief. He asked a few preliminary questions regarding when my Baby A had passed in utero, where I was delivering at, etc. Before I could elaborate on what I wanted, Elver explained the cost was basically the fees for the county permit and a death certificate should I choose to want one. Additionally, he gave me a brief run down as to the process which basically entails letting the hospital know who would be handling the cremation and when we would like them to pick him up and they would handle the rest. I have a friend handling all this for me upon delivery and I was able to easily relay this information to her. I am so glad Angel's is the first place I reached out to and I feel so at ease after speaking with Elver.

I arranged transportation and made the nearly hour-long drive, only to be told upon arrival that my father was not there and that I was not even on the schedule. The staff member present was kind and apologetic, and after attempting multiple calls to the main office with no answer, I was assured my father's remains would be delivered to my home the following day. It has now been over 24 hours since that promise, and I have received no communication, no update, and no explanation as to where my father is. Losing a parent is already incredibly difficult. Not knowing where their remains are--and being met with silence from the very people entrusted with their care--is deeply distressing and unacceptable. I am sharing this not out of anger, but out of concern for others who may trust this service during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. At minimum, families deserve clear communication, accountability, and basic follow-through. I sincerely hope this situation is resolved quickly and that no other family has to experience this level of uncertainty.
