This place is truly a gem, and I can't recommend it enough. The first thing that stood out to us was how warm and welcoming the staff are. Every single person we've interacted with genuinely cares about the kids, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. My child lights up every morning when we arrive, and that's a feeling no parent can put a price on. The teachers are incredible. They don't just watch the kids--they engage with them, teach them, and help them grow in so many ways. My child has learned so much, from counting and singing new songs to sharing and making friends. They even come home talking about things like colors, shapes, and their favorite storytime books, which always puts a smile on my face. One thing I really appreciate is how much thought goes into everything they do. The activities are fun but also purposeful, helping with development in ways I didn't even realize were possible at this age. Plus, the crafts they bring home are the cutest--I've already started a little collection on the fridge. The center itself is spotless and so well-organized. You can tell they take safety and cleanliness very seriously, which puts my mind at ease, especially in today's world. I also love that they keep parents updated throughout the day with photos and messages. Getting a picture of my child smiling or playing with friends is such a highlight for me during my workday. Another thing I love is how they create a sense of community. The events they host for families are so thoughtful and make us feel connected--not just to the daycare, but to the other parents and families. It's like being part of a big, supportive family. Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to the administration team. They're always friendly, responsive, and willing to answer any question, no matter how small. It's clear they care deeply about making the experience great for both the kids and the parents. As an alum, I couldn't be more proud to see how it's grown in the last few years. During my undergrad years in the early to mid 2000s, I spent my time bumping between classes, buildings and, for a while there, majors. There was always a friendly face, it seemed, willing to strike up a conversation in front of the student center or library or just waiting outside of a classroom. Back then, UNO was easing out of being an urban commuter campus. The first rounds of dorms had been built and the campus was just starting to come to life with around-the-clock amenities. Still, the school was entrenched in Division II sports, living in the shadow of UN-L and the Huskers just a few miles away in Lincoln. Now, UNO has a full fledged D-I sports program, riding high off of the hockey team's first appearance in the Frozen Four. Both the Dodge Street and Pacific Street campuses are rapidly filling in parking lots with new educational, administrative, recreational and residential buildings, anchored on the south end with Aksarben Village and the soon-to-be-opened Baxter Arena. At the end of my time at UNO, I wound up with an English degree and a great job shortly after graduating. I couldn't ask for much more than that. Funny thing, as good as I had it, there's no better time than right now to be a Mav!

Their department is also very unhelpful as far as helping students graduate and suggesting courses. I have some good experiences to but unfortunately those outweigh those.

So for the parents bringing their children to this day care wonder why their children are coming home sick when they were perfectly fine at drop-off, it's because nothing is being cleaned or sanitized and the "inspector" would rather just fill out false information than do his actual job. The staff acts one way with the parents to their face and behave and play on their phones once the parents are gone. So please consider your children's health and well being before bringing them here. Yes, cheap and easy daycare but I won't be bringing my daughter back here with because of what a employee who works there now told me and I appreciate her for being honest with me about what really goes on there.
