It is incredibly easy to get to campus and you're very close to tons of law firms, corporate offices, and government buildings which makes networking and externing very accessible. I really liked all of my professors and felt like they were all approachable and invested in my success. I particularly felt like the legal writing program and clinical programs were standout opportunities for me. I was not as happy with career services, but in their defense, they have just added a bunch of new staff who have put in a lot of work to revamp the office. The bar success office is also incredibly. I am so thankful that I had Erin and Kate to guide me through the bar exam process. Admin was also really approachable, in my opinion. I felt like they were very receptive to student feedback and did try to implement changes accordingly. The student success office was great and was really willing to coordinate with me to grant disability accommodations that made class more accessible. Overall, I have been happy with my decision to attend Chicago-Kent. While the school isn't perfect, no school is, and I felt like I was supported by my professors, classmates, and most of the administration.

Had a visit to Chicago-Kent College of Law down on Adams Street in Chicago. Very nice building just…read moreon the outskirts of downtown Chicago and right by Union Station for those that ride the train. It is also near a stop on the "L". You can drive and park but it would be expensive. Their facility is a ten-story building with tons of room. Most of the classrooms are laid out like traditional square or rectangle rooms...all seem to have up-to-date technology keeping students plugged in. The lecture and seminar rooms were very nice and on the newish side. The moot courtroom and other specialty rooms were also very nice. It is obvious Chicago-Kent is reinvesting in its property. The law library takes up three floors...from 8 to 10. On the 10th floor is the main reading room...a very large room with a soaring ceiling and a huge glass end fronting the north side of Chicago and letting in tons of natural light. The library has a series of large tables with nice lamps and chairs...students use mostly this reading room and other seating around the library...they really are not a library of carrels for each student. In other areas of the building are all the administration and faculty offices, along with the classrooms. They have a nice large diner on the 3rd floor with a lot of seating. Chicago-Kent is well-ranked in the second-50 tier of schools and the faculty is well regarded. Being so close to downtown Chicago they have the benefit of a lot of experienced lawyers coming in as adjuncts. We were out looking at law schools and stopped by for a visit...even though we showed up unannounced they had an admissions person give us a personal tour...very nice touch. It just showed a welcoming attitude, and a school that is not resting on its laurels. A good choice for a commuter law school in Chicago.

If you are willing to play the game it transports you to another time and place. And it's easy to forget where you are when you are gazing at all the gargoyles and architectural details of the building facades, or taking the sun laying on the grass. When classes are on it's the liveliest place on campus. And it's just wonderful to walk around by yourself or with your sweetie on a warm summer night. NOT GOOD FOR BIKES THOUGH......they tend to disappear even locked on the racks....

A beautiful place that takes you to innumerable real and imaginary other beautiful places. A space in a city that offers one such a peaceful repose has limitless value. Come here, one day, and sit or stand or throw your disk or sing or lunch or stroll or nap or read or play your harmonica or watch people or count squirrels... yeah, I think you should count the squirrels. I was treated like less than by them while I was there (but didn't do anything but cry when it happened at the time) and was treated even worse years later. I haven't seen God's love from this school except for a very small minority a long time ago. They were supposed to be better than this, but it truly is about their glory and not God's glory. God's love never reached their hearts and actions there. I'm extremely disappointed in them and see they will never truly be life giving until God deals with them and until they truly listen to Him. :(

The food was outstanding, and the architecture of the buildings on campus is really neat as well. In the cafeteria, there is chocolate milk on tap, so obviously I drank A LOT of chocolate milk. P.S. Check out the Marion E. Wade Center on Campus! One of the coolest museums you can go to, including J.R.R. Tolkien's desk, C.S. Lewis' desk, and the wardrobe that inspired The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

When I was considering this university, people I highly respected (but never attended their program) believed this is a great university. Their ads speak well of them. I had various former students, who graduated in the 1980s & 1990s who told me they could not get employment after graduating in their field of study and had to change careers / get additional training elsewhere. I learned these issues after graduation. The education in engineering is WORTHLESS because they are not ABET accredited school. In other words, employers ONLY HIRE ABET ACCREDITED GRADUATES. The problem was employment after graduation & student loan policies. I finished a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, BS Computer Engineering Technology in 2014. ADTalem Global Education, dba DeVry University, utilizes The Higher Learning Commission.org to procure student loans. DeVry would max out the student's credit for student loans. The tuition cost is based on their ability to get funding. In the first 2 years as a student, I was a cash paying student. I applied for student loans then dropped out. Unknown to me, they were able to get student loans. Instead of returning the unused funds, they increased my tuition / education costs for previous classes that were paid in full. Accounting education fraud. Their billing is so confusing because they are committing fraud. They sell fake health insurance policies. BEWARE

I have had knowledgeable professors who really care about the learning and engagement of the students. Student central is horrible! The May session ends next Sunday, and I still have a balance of $5K because they won't release my financial aid. I've had excuse after excuse from the financial aid department, and now they stopped replying all together to my request for a status update. The last thing they told me was that financial aid would be disbursed after May 22nd. What the hell does that mean??? It's June 19th! AFTER May 22nd for all I know could be next year! I checked my student account this morning, and they've already charged me tuition for the July session, of course. They are money hungry.! I am just trying to finish my program as quickly as possible and I want nothing to do with this place. Overall, if you're paying for school out of pocket, go for it. The education is great and you'll never deal with Student Central. But if you're depending on financial aid to cover you educational expense, RUN! They are so inconsistent and every day, they will give you a new excuse.

The clean lines and overall functionality was unexpected and appreciated. The geometry of the facade is one of a kind, and we were able to see spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Staff was warm and helpful and it was really an overall wonderful experience for everyone. Definitely recommend a visit.

We came here for a Humanities Festival book discussion and signing (Ijeoma Oluo: Be A Revolution)…read more This is located on the IIT campus, but near public transportation. The center is very nicely laid out. We arrived and observed a table with more information about the events taking place in the center. We had a short while before the event so we relaxed on the wide stairs (like bleacher seats) with pads for sitting. This gave us a nice view of the campus, but the area is also used for movie screenings. There are probably other rooms in the area that are used for the technical/technological advances and inventions that the namesake Kaplan was known for, but we were just there for the book discussion. We proceeded to the room, which was laid out nicely with chairs, a stage and microphones. It was a nice discussion and a good venue for the event. I liked the Women's room bathrooms with the sanitary logos on the door, to indicate that free sanitary items were available in there!
