It is a huge responsibility to charge a person to help them with treatment for Behaviorial health and then when a patient has to leave the area to get family suport to not provide remote care until you have transitioned the patient to a new provider in their new area of residence. You have the in-depth knowledge in many cases after seeing a patient multiple times and to lack the care for a patient to transition them lovingly to a new provider with virtual consultation as needed during this transition when the patient needs your support, not lack of willingness to guide a vulnerable person to a new provider, especially after hospitalization. This is a disgrace to patients who trusted!

Therefore, I found it useful to complete/report my medical history to the best of my ability because what ever is going on in the body, often transfers to the mind. And vice versa. So, when I visited the office and received his inquiry about my history, I understood(later) that he was assessing my health needs so that he could offer me the best individualized treatment for me. I am so happy that I silenced my urge to over explain my emotions and beliefs. Because when I began taking a particular medication he prescribed, the spinal pain I've felt nearly all my life, was vastly decreased. My desire to eat constantly disappeared. Coping with adverse life issues no longer seem totally insurmountable. It is a bit easier to assess what's important and what is not. It may be annoying to have him ask the same questions you have answered on a form. But I think its part of his assessment. So, be patient. And give him the opportunity to assist you with your needs. *Note! The office staff, though always busy, will work in front and behind the scene to carry out their assigned duties to both the office AND you. Just remember that they, too, are human. The phone is ever ringing. And they are multi tasking(big time!). Kudos to the staff. For "would be" patients, he does a great deal of telehealth. So, you may want to ask beforehand about your preferred choice: In office/telehealth appointments. Ultimately, he is one of few of my medical providers who actually read my chart and assessed my needs accordingly.

I used to live in Cordele and happily drove two hours round trip to see him monthly; I would gladly drive further if I needed to. I've been seeing various psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists etc for over 10 years now all over south GA, from Forsyth to Valdosta, and Jonathan is so completely different than anyone else. If you want a counselor who just sits silently, takes notes, and asks "how did that make you feel," don't go to Jonathan. If you want someone who is an attentive listener, caring, invested, energetic, empathetic, and incredibly smart and driven - then DO. I look forward to seeing him and if I could afford it I'd go weekly. He legitimately keeps me sane and has been key in my journey to finding mental health while struggling with clinical depression/anxiety, trauma, and high stress living. I couldn't recommend him enough - in fact, I recommend him to anyone looking for a therapist, and my friends that have gone to see him have also loved his work. Jonathan is brilliant in his field, and brilliant as a person in general. Any counselor should aspire to achieve his professional-but-personal conduct and amazing results. I truly wouldn't be here today if not for Jonathan's help, advice, and expertise. Dr. Baracat is very understanding, knowledgeable and very honest in anyway possible to his patients and family members of the patient. The type of care you'll get is what the doctor and his team recommends for the overall outcome of your diagnosis and care options you will want to receive while your battle your diagnosis. The office experience has been quite pleasant little issues here and there but nothing major out of the ordinary. Yes, There is a wait time to see the doctor all depends how busy the doctor is at the time of the appointment. But at times the appointment time you'll get in fast with no waiting all depends on the day you come see the doctor. Plenty of seating and parking as well but very limited handicapped parking spots. If you have limited mobility there is a pull up area where you can be assisted with by a family member and its closeby to the doctor office and dialysis center as well. Best wishes to everyone!

They have been upfront with pricing and nothing has changed without first speaking with me and acknowledging the change. We have seen 2 different therapist here and they both have been supportive, encouraging, informative, and genuinely concerned for the well being of myself (not their client) and my child (the client). I would recommend them. They accept private insurance and GA Medicaid.

She was always so kind, funny, understanding, and supportive. She always made me feel safe and comfortable and I appreciated that! She is a "one-woman show" so I didn't run into other clients, and she has a dedicated relaxation room open to clients to use before appointments with a massage chair and calming ambience, which I loved taking advantage of to center me before my appointment! During hypnotherapy, I never once lost myself or didn't feel in complete control, but I could tell the sessions helped because I started to overcome by issue, until insurance made things difficult for my providers to get paid and she had to drop my insurance (which I completely understand, but hated). I highly recommend Deanna to anyone struggling with issues they can't get past! Her professionalism is top-notch and her care for her clients is true.
