Her dental assistant is very friendly, patient, and understanding. She is very gentle during the x-rays and cleaning and makes you feel at home. Now let me start this review by saying that I have always been afraid of the dentist, I have had some bad experiences in the past so I was hesitant to schedule my first appointment in several years. Dr. Mortazavi was recommended to me by 1-800-dentist as someone who was patient and kind to those who were afraid of the dentist. On my first visit she was so friendly and nice and asked me lots if questions before starting the exam. When I needed work and could see that i was getting anxious, she explained everything to me and made me feel so comfortable. I have been coming here for years now. What I like best about Dr. Mortazavi is that she truly cares about her patients, she is easily accessible and will always call to follow up and see how I am doing. I will admit that I have had to get quite a bit of work done and each time I feel at ease. I can honestly say that I am no longer afraid if the dentist. I recently moved across town but still come to her because for me it has been rare to find a dentist who is kind, caring, patient, and flexible and never makes me feel bad about all the work I need done. I used to take very good care of my teeth, then for some reasons beyond my control I was unable to afford required dental work. I had an emergency twice in the past several years. The 2nd time it cost me a bundle. Anyway, I started to look for a dentist after the last emergency. I found Dr. Parisa through Yelp and went there for a work up. She was kind understanding and extremely fair with her pricing. That surprised me because the other dentist I went to for my last emergency treatment took advantage of the pain I was in, and charged me for everything and then some "through the nose." Okay 'nuff said, but I still need dental coverage (coming into effect very soon). Once my coverage takes hold I'll be knocking on this dentist's door to see if she will work with me -- I'm sure she will. She is very nice, compassionate, and from my past experience, very competent, and mindful of various economic situations. I liked going to her. My biggest problem with going to the dentist is finding someone I can trust. If nothing hurts, how do I know I have a cavity that needs to be filled? I started going to Dr. Mortazavi about five years ago. (My wife set me up.) Before that it had been eight years since I'd seen a dentist. I expected bad news, but, instead, she reported I had "good dental hygiene." Cool! My whole family goes to her now. I like her so much I'm now getting my teeth cleaned every six months. And, still, no fake cavities. She is managing my Invisalign braces (which, yes, I am wearing as I write this, Doctor). She has a gentle touch and is quite friendly. My kids have really appreciated the special attention they have gotten. Thanks to her, they've never been afraid of going to the dentist, even though their dental hygiene leaves something to be desired. In summary, I am really glad we found Dr. Mortazavi. Dr. Mortazavi has been my dentist for the last 4 years, and although I've moved farther away, I still go to her office for all my dental needs. She is very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. The pricing here is very reasonable, which is just another of the many reasons I have no problem with making a 60 mile round trip drive. I'm terrible at keeping track of when I'm due for my cleanings, but the office is very diligent about calling me with reminders for upcoming appointments. I have been a patient of Dr Mortazavi for my teeth for about three years now. She is very friendly and at the same time very professional. In a couple of cases she really got out of her way to do what was necessary for my teeth, even though we were not sure if the insurance would cover it or not. I used to go to the dentist who sold the practice to Dr. Mortazavi and I continued with her for about a year and a half (3 visits). The first time I went to her, she seemed more concerned with her new paint, decor, and office chairs. She talked about them constantly while doing the cleaning and the only feedback I got was "looks good." The second and third times, the hygienist and doctor talked about me as if I weren't in the room while doing the cleaning. The way the office is run is also pretty bad. They sent dental reminders about a month after the check-up was due and seemed to have real trouble calling my new number. Instead, they continuously called my parents' house even after being told that I had a new number. I was excited at first because they were able to schedule appointments at my convenience...now I realize that the reason why was because they have hardly any customers. read more

I found this dentist online, and she was close to where I lived. I've seen her about 4 times and I have to say I'm disappointed. The office seems to only have one other person running it other than the dr herself, therefore when your there the hygienist leaves often to answer phone etc and on the other end it seems like the phone rings forever! I've gotten the machine more then an actual person. Dr. Mortazavi herself and the hygienist talk and talk and talk about whatever to each other during my appointments like I'm not even there! I found Dr. Mortazavi after moving to the Bay Area this year, and she is already my favorite dentist I have ever had. She is very knowledgable, patient, and caring. My previous dentists have sometimes had multiple patients at the same time with the dentist and hygienists bouncing back and forth between patients, but with Dr. Mortazavi, she only takes one patient at a time, so both her and the hygienist are always focused on you, rather than spread thinly between multiple patients. As someone with moderate dental anxiety, this is especially great because it helps make the appointment go much faster. This dentist is an artist! Her dentisty is a craft. I went in for a couple of basic fillings. I have teeth missimg out of my bottom jaw (the back teeth) which causes my jaw to pop. Which wasn't the reason for the appointment, but I mentioned it to her. It's is out of alignment (my jaw). Dr. Moratavi not only did the filling, but she went the extra 7 hundred miles and put what appears to be composite on portions of my teeth to correct my bite and there by temporarily relieving the discomfort of my jaw popping. This is what I call a dentist who is not only supremely efficient with her dentistry skills, but also she possesses an empathic intelligence that is rare in todays world..period. I have had crooked teeth and Dr Mortazavi suggested that I should try invisalign. I was initially hesitant about the effectiveness of the braces as there were mixed reviews on this treatment and my lower teeth were so crooked that I did not believe that they could be fixed by merely wearing removable braces. Eventually, I decided to try. I am now I'm on to my last few trays, and the results have been amazing. My teeth look great and I can now smile with confidence. Dr. Mortazavi was amazing with my 7 years old son. I initially took my son to "children dentist sunnyvale, ca", and they scared my child a lot, they were not good with kids at all. My son had to do some fillings. My son was scared, and the only thing that they were saying was "hey kido other kids do this, it is not a big thing", "we have spend lot of time, we cannot spend more time on you" and at the end they tried to buckle him up when I said I don't want your service, they said, Ok we have to do full anesthesia. That was the time, I told them I don't want your service and I took my Son to Dr. Mortazavi. She talked to my son, she explained what she is going to do, allowed my son to touch some of the tool and made sure he is not scared anymore and then she filled his tooth without the usage of "Dental Mouth Gag" or buckles, just like a grown up. Convincing my son, and explaining took about an hour of Dr. Mortazavi's time, but she never said "we have spend lot of time, we cannot spend more time on you".
