I've rented equipment from these folks twice now, the first time was a bobcat last summer when I…read morecouldn't get anybody to come out to my property and clear the debris that my builder left. If they were willing to come, it was gonna cost me about 6-9k and it was only a third of an acre! I'm not stupid, I can do that myself So if I went to the United Rentals where I told them straight up that I had zero experience operating one of these things, and they were so nice. It wasn't even funny. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I love the fact that if they don't know something, they'll find someone that does know it or they will get to the bottom of the issue by actually doing their job and researching it. Super nice people. I arranged for delivery and they were great about going over all the controls and how to run it. Upon delivery, I spent another 15 minutes going to YouTube university and left it in turtle mode while I learned how to coordinate all of the knobs and buttons. Within about 10 minutes, I was having an absolute ball and I was running in rabbit mode within about 30 minutes. I was able to not only clear the property, but I cut in two new driveways, installed two 40 foot long lengths of culvert pipe, re-distributed about 8 yards of three-quarter aggregate base all over everything and then loaned it to my neighbor for a day so he could clear a bunch of brush on his property. I had rented it for the entire week and even at that I still saved over $8000 doing the labor myself. And I had a lot of fun doing it too! Skip ahead to this last weekend and I need some French drains installed. I don't know what's wrong with the vendors around here, but they think that all women are stupid and apparently rich. While I can certainly afford to pay somebody to install those, I'm not gonna allow myself to get financially taken advantage of so back to United Rentals I went. Rented a 3000 pound trencher and was concerned about damaging their equipment because our soil is so jampacked full of clay and rocks. It literally took me 25 minutes to do the French drain project so I went ahead and cut in a bunch of holes for my orchard trees, I cut in the lines for my concrete foundation for the patio and I even cut in a hole for my StarLink satellite mount on a 6 x 6 x 12' piece of Cyprus as well as the fence line for the garden. The whole thing took me less than three hours. Not only did I save myself several hundred dollars if not close to 1000 above and beyond what I paid to rent, but there's a certain amount of satisfaction in seeing a job done right and being able to do that yourself. I hate being dependent upon people who think they have you by the short hairs. Don't be afraid to rent heavy equipment, especially if you're an older woman, just be safe and I guarantee you you're gonna be able to complete a lot of those projects you thought would never get done and with a lot of satisfaction.

You cussed out me and my wife. Your female passenger yelled political and racial slurs and made fun of my wife having a handicap sticker. Plus you backed into the truck behind you before taking off. And you had the good sense to do it all in a company vehicle. Good job A$$hat!
