The massage was so good that I'm pretty sure I fell asleep and started snoring loudly. When she woke me up, I couldn't believe the 70 minutes had already passed! She stepped out to give me time to get dressed, and apparently, I fell right back asleep. LOL. I eventually woke up, got dressed, and was offered tea or water. I chose tea and enjoyed relaxing a little longer afterward. I left feeling so good. My muscles felt relaxed, and I didn't have that usual feeling of knots or tension. That alone tells me the massage was well worth it. I know robes and slippers are available with certain packages, and I think having those would make the experience feel even more like a full spa day. That's just my personal preference, though, and it doesn't take away from the quality of the massage. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. If the massage has you falling asleep and snoring, you know they're doing something right! And this is actually my 2nd time here. I will definitely be back. Prior to my appointment, I specifically indicated that my problem areas were my upper and lower back. However, my massage therapist spent nearly half the session massaging my scalp, which was neither my primary concern nor where I wanted the focus of my treatment. And because my boyfriend was already relaxed, I did not want to disrupt the energy and tell her to stop working on my scalp. To make matters worse, my hair was left in a terrible state afterward. It was frizzy, tangled, matted, and shedding excessively, and my scalp was incredibly itchy and irritated. I invest a considerable amount of time and money into maintaining my hair, so leaving a spa appointment with my hair in this condition was beyond frustrating. I resorted to putting it in a ponytail to manage the mess. What disappointed me even more was the lack of follow-up from management. I made numerous attempts to speak with the manager to address my concerns and give the establishment an opportunity to rectify the situation. On one occasion, I was assured that I would receive a callback, which never happened. I've had plenty of massages over the years, and this was easily my most disappointing experiences. The Main Issues: Shortened Service Time: I wasn't called back until 1:20 PM. Melody then left the room for over 5 minutes just for me to remove a robe. The massage ended at 1:44 PM, meaning I received less than 20 minutes of actual service. Lack of Effort: Despite being a full-body massage, she never touched my legs or feet. She simply left a towel over my head, as I was faced down saying she didn't want oil to get on me, which is why I was naked, I think she dint want to come in contact with my large curly hair as a black woman. Wasted Add-on: I paid an extra $25 for a special CBD oil add-on. However, the oil used on me smelled exactly like the standard oil used for my daughter's massage, which was included at no extra cost. It provided no additional benefit or effect, and when I asked her about it she said the CBD balm is better and feels like icy-hot for $15, never attempted to accommodate me in real time as I questioned the no effects feeling of the oil. Contrast in Service: My daughter was added to the schedule last minute and saw a different therapist (name similar to Meda). That therapist was wonderful--she took her time, provided a full-body massage including the feet, and focused on the requested areas. The spent the entire 30 minutes with her hands and elbows massaging and added hot towels to her service. Conclusion: Because of the poor quality and rushed nature of Melody's work, I chose not to leave the $20 tip I had originally prepared for her. Instead, I requested that the tip from my total charge be directed specifically to the other therapist for her excellent service. My daughter plan to return in a few weeks and want Meda again, I am nervous to even think about booking again at this time.

The employee never had me clean/wipe my hands off during or after the procedure. Additionally, the inside of my calves appears to be missed but that is much easier to fix at home than other areas that were too dark. I called the salon the next day for advice, and was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I ended up having to spend more money than the original service just trying to fix it on my own (Both in tanning my calves and in trying to erase the tan on my hands), all while preparing to be part of a wedding party the next day. I understand that mistakes can happen, no service is perfect. But how a business responds to those mistakes is what really matters. Being ignored after reaching out for help was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A simple call back could have gone a long way in making me feel appreciated and less alone in the situation.
