She has not had to let me miss any trips since she has been in the office. And my regular drivers Jeff and Terry are great. Always friendly, always on time for pickup, and always in the parking lot to return me home when I come out. Former driver Jerry couldn't be beat. Also Anita is very willing to put in outside the office. She was my fill in driver one day when my assigned driver couldn't come, and she was on time and very kind in spite of filling in. Carissa, Brooklyn and drivers Jeff and Terry are always calling checking, confirming and reminding, and Jeff and Terry encourage checking with them to see if they have you on their schedule. Jeff, after hours, contacted Brooke after hours, to find out who my driver was, since it wasn't him and he let me know I have a driver. Medicab has had numerous great drivers when I used them in the past. Charlene always called and confirmed trips with me before scheduling and assigning them, and former drivers Bob Anderson and Jan (retired) were the kindest and best drivers. Bob once took me to the er after hours, I offered to pay him and he refused to let me pay. Another time, in place of a busy Jan, Bob Anderson came to Richmond and took me home to Connersville from his home in Connersville on his day off. Bob always said he was just a call away. And if you had a long return trip wait, when Jan picked you up, she would buy you a sandwich for your wait. Both Jeff and former driver Jerry and I have taken turns at gas stations, buying one another drinks and snacks. These people do not get paid much, but they have hearts of gold. I have frequent, regular appointments, non day/time repeating, at several locations with several doctors, yet Carissa and drivers past and present, nearly always take me and do so friendly and on time. My only negative experience was with Gary. I had a 9:15 appointment in Richmond with a 7:45 pickup. 15 minutes after dropping me off at my appointment, Gary had to go from Richmond for a pickup in Rushville, taking them and waiting at a 11:00 greensburg appointment an hour, returning that person home to Rushville, then coming from Rushville to Richmond to pick me up to return me to Batesville. I was not picked up until 2:15pm and returned home at 3:30. From 9:45am til 2:15pm I waited to be picked up. I was not told of my wait until my destination drop off. I am diabetic and my sugar dropped. A receptionist gave me a banana and granola bar from her lunchbox. When Gary returned, he stated he stopped and ate and stopped again at a gas station restroom. I understand Gary needed to eat, and I don't mind waiting, but he should have offered the courtesy of letting me know I'd have a 4 hour wait. And I was offended by his God cursing foul language and assassination talk of political appoints and his using a curse word to describe his deceased wife. After me kindly sharing of me being a minister, it was quite distasteful. That has been my only complaint. In general I recommend them, the 3 you deal with in the office and my two regular drivers and driver Tim as well. If you go through a broker with insurance and live near Greensburg, I recommend you telling your broker you'd like Classic Medicab to be your preferred provider and if you like their services, ask your broker to auto assign you to Classic Medicab. Also if you have frequent appointments requiring Transportation, Classic Medicab will make you a priority client. If they make you a priority client, be sure to let your broker know, and that will cause them to auto assign you to them, before requesting other providers to take you. It rarely ever happens at all as an auto assigned, preferred provider, auto assigned priority client that Classic Medicab won't be able to accept your trip. I have been told by both my regular drivers and also from driver Tim, drivers are getting less trips, having more down time and are wanting more trips and clients to drive. Review by Derek West.
