We were in town this weekend to go to the races and my husband was nice enough to make a dinner reservation for us at this place on Sunday. We sat on their outdoor patio and enjoyed the casual ambiance. The menu offers plenty of appetizers, salads, pizzas, sushi, and entrees. After sitting outside at the track all afternoon we really wanted something cool. We started with the hummus board and it was delicious. We then had the mango salmon roll and the Volcano Roll. Both choices tasted great. Service was good.

We ordered two cocktails with hardly any liquor, just two blocks of ice to take up volume in the glass to make it appear there was more than there actually was. Two expensive drinks very little alcohol, rip off. Huge ice cube .

We loved the live entertainment! The music was great. I am an out of towner and I could tell it was a poplar place on Thursdays. The curry chicken wings were one of the best I have ever had. The back room was a little loud so next time we will request to be seated upfront or outside.

Morissey's food is delicious. The menu is creative. The drink menu is a bit lacking for me. There was no "wow" drinks on the menu. I enjoy a nice herbal gin drink. Everything was a sweet option. Our waitress was amazing with a wonderful sense of humor. The inside of the restaurant is choppy. We had a nice intimate room with a non-heated gas fireplace. For a tapas place, the table was very small to hold the plates. The tartare tacos were delicious.

Outstanding display of sushi!

Finally made our way to the Adelphi Hotel were we met a friend here for a drink prior to going to dinner. This is a very comfortable place to sit and relax with a drink in your hands. The folks behind the counter were extremely cordial made us feel welcome at the bar. Non-glamorous drinks, just a few glasses of wine but what I will say is that the wine they gave us was terrific. My wife had a Sauvignon Blanc while I had a Pinot Noir. They were both delicious and served at a great temperature. This is important to us as we find so so many places that keep their wine in refrigerators and you get a glass of wine that tastes like a glass of ice water. Looking forward to a trip back when I can try some of their menu items. I am also looking forward to trying some items on their sushi menu. I saw them pass by and they looked fantastic. Good service and nice atmosphere with the food being good-but-not-great. The sushi was a bit bland and I'm a little salty that the "crab" was the fake crab (made with fish). The chicken club was also good but didn't stand out even though they had their "famous" thick cut bacon. The lobster dumplings were very good and while a little pricey, it was worth it, especially with the spicy sauce spread on it. One nice thing Morrissey's will do is split a sandwich and on both plates give you a full serving of fries.

Delicious Sushi!

Gorgeous !! Morrissey's is inside Adelphi hotel. Beautiful entrance, it's a timeless era decor. Morrissey's is very classy place. It brings Chic, iconic, timeless, and intimate all together. The toured the stunning library and the terrace. It's absolutely gorgeous. Light fixtures were lovely. We sat at the bar and we were greeted immediately. Places out orders and had great conversations with the surrounding people. Our meals were delightful. Our cocktails were we amazing! Their mixologist are very talented. If your reading this and are in the neighborhood, I strongly suggest to treat yourself to a Saratoga Springs fine dining experience.

Good food but not great. Was there on prime rib night it wasn't the best cut, a bit tough but the chef knows how to create flavors.

What a gem. What a vibe. WHAT a cocktail menu…read more Tucked away, totally unpretentious, but with a STAGGERING, almost-unbelievable range of martinis and martini-adjacent cocktails in this fall/winter-perfect, cozy, mostly-paneled speakeasy that's also evocative of a semi-secret lobby bar of an old hotel (it's not though!) Even the music selections made it sound like prohibition era jazz standards were drifting in from another room. It manages to be simultaneously totally old school and totally hip, fancy-feeling and swanky, but also with the ease of a local watering hole... no easy feat. From t-shirts to suits, locals to newbies, it has a totally come-as-you-are, everybody's-welcome atmosphere. Even the locals made us feel at home, giving us great insight into several restaurants all less than a block or two away. Wines and beers also available, but mixology is the main act here. We were there over two separate bartender shifts, both times on a quiet Sunday late-afternoon into evening, but both gents have it all down to a science without forsaking the art of crafting a cocktail. They pushed my formerly-favorite Manhattan (at NYC's King Cole Bar, there, as much for the environs as the drink) squarely out of the top spot, and as I told our bartender after I spied a semi-hidden bottle of Chartreuse and he offered to make an off-the-menu Last Word, it was the first time I fully understood that drink. That hard-to-find liquid green-gold is in VERY good hands at 9 Maple! Perfect for date night, but also welcoming to the lone visitor in search of a PERFECTLY crafted, amply -poured cocktail. Eat before you arrive, or pop back after dinner for a nightcap. Although we were there for off-season, an outdoor courtyard hints at higher traffic when the weather's warmer and the horses are racing. And even off-season, Jazz band nights attract a crowd. This place should really be on more national Top Cocktail Bars lists. It's that good.

We had a gin martini and a pistachio martini, both were amazing and very fair pricing as well. So happy we found this spot. It's small, but wonderful and intimate. Bread is from a local bakery and worth ordering. The hamburger comes highly recommended but I tried the pasta special which was excellent. My wife love her halibut but my daughter who is vegan didn't love her cauliflower entree. The hazelnut tart was exceptional. The restaurant is cozy and has a good ambiance. Reservations are a must unless you want to see if there is room at the bar. We plan to return at future trips to Saratoga.

I was looking for a restaurant to go when we were in Saratoga Springs in this restaurant looked…read morelike it had a really good menu so we decided to go there. I requested to sit at the chef's table because I really do like to see what's going on in the kitchen and our reservation is at 7:15 and we arrived a half hour early and we're able to be sat so that was nice. We were greeted by one of the servers in the restaurant and then shortly after another came by and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and that our server would be there with us in a second. It took a little bit longer for our server to come by and he took our drink orders. The line chef started to realize that our server was taking quite a while so we asked us what he wanted him to start so that he can relay it to our server when he got around to us, and I thought that was very nice and great that he recognized that we were waiting for quite a while. Our server finally came back with our drinks and asked what we wanted to get started and we told him that they already started our appetizers. He also didn't come back for quite a while after that and he finally asked us what we wanted for dinner and he didn't ask how the food was or anything. He just said OK cool and put in our food order. When we got our actual entrée, I had the New York strip steak and my husband had the scallops and they were very good. We ordered those entrées because the line chef said they were good and we wouldn't be disappointed and we were not. Our server finally came back around after everyone else buster plates and asked if we wanted anything for dessert and we already made up our mind what we wanted. I ordered the coconut rice pudding and my husband ordered the pistachio cheesecake. Both of those were also very good highly recommend them if you have room at the end of your meal. Our server then came back with our bill and just randomly said he took off one of our desserts because of the weight which was nice but he didn't really acknowledge anything else. We thought it was very odd but also we were happy about that. This restaurant was very good and I think the staff is very in tuned to what's going on in the restaurant if something is not as it should and they communicate to others if they need to start food for people or accommodate other people's needs so that's the only reason that I'm giving it a 4 because the server we had wasn't great but the food and everything else was awesome.

Finally had a chance to try Kindred last week(end)…read more I was honestly won over when we first walked in....we didn't have a reservation but asked if they could accommodate two for dinner. The hostess/server was awesome: not pretentious and looking down her nose at us since we didn't have a reservation. She did say that she needed the table by 7 PM. No problem! That said, it was pretty busy for being early in the evening. Guests kept coming in as we were getting ready to depart. The food that we tried was very good: -the chips with crème fraîche were very nice, but I don't know that I would go out of my way for these again. I really enjoyed the chips themselves... very thin and light ...and quite salty (in a good way). A little bit of fish roe is mixed in for "extra saltiness" and a little bit of a fishy experience in the crème fraîche. -Brussel sprouts for me were the winner! Absolutely delicious and we added some chicken so that we'd have a little bit of protein. Grilled chicken was perfectly flavored and not dry at all. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of char and umami. -flatbread was honestly my least favorite. We stuck with the basic burrata/Margherita pizza/flatbread, and after eating the brussels sprouts it just didn't hold up in terms of flavor. Some of the other options might be better if you're looking for more of a flavor punch.... but it was served steaming, hot, and freshly made. As more people showed up, it definitely got noisier... so prepare for a bit of a loud environment...pretty much the same situation in all downtown Saratoga restaurants these days. I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu.

I had a seasonal apple flavored cocktail that didn't have much apple flavor. We got two entrees to share. The squash ravioli is out of this world!! Service was really kind, our server was friendly and answered all our questions.
