The current property manager, Charlene, has been consistently dismissive and lacks the professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills I'd expect from someone in that role. Rather than addressing resident concerns, interactions often feel unnecessarily frustrating and unproductive. One issue that has made me especially uncomfortable is that Charlene repeatedly gets very close to my one-year-old son without asking for my permission. As his parent, I expect my boundaries regarding my child to be respected. It is never appropriate to invade a child's personal space without the parent's consent, and the fact that this has happened more than once has made every interaction with her uncomfortable. We're at the point where we're simply counting down the days until our lease is over. I would not recommend Paxton Point Hope to anyone while it's under its current management.

Requesting a little extra time, we ended up deciding we'd move out- since we both still had our jobs and the entire world wasn't shut down. We gave them a 40 day notice and since it wasn't 60 days "the required days"-they forced us to pay a pro-rated rent amount to stay for a month for 1800! While I'd understand this in any other circumstance but come on look what's happening in the world right now. Might I add we've never payed late or missed a payment our entire time living here nor asked for an extension during this pandemic. So not only am I sure they have a flood of people not being able to pay rent- but they also aren't going to have a ton of people trying to move in SO THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO CUT CORNERS WHILE THEY CAN AND BE WILDING NOT UNDERSTANDING! 40 DAYS NOTICE INSTEAD OF 60 DAYS=500$ and being forced to stay here DURING A PANDEMIC where it's impossible to not be in contact with other people! I'm sorry but every single property owner I've spoken to thinks this is outrageous due to these uncertain times and the fact we've been perfect tenants! On top of that, they spent months doing work on the buildings refinishing the hallways when they said it was going to be a week. Not to mention it's not a good place for dog owners what so ever. Small dog park, no grass, short walking area, and no one cares to pick up after their dogs. They unnecessarily force you to pay 30$ a month for valet trash service (which you can also be fined for if you don't do perfectly btw) which we never used because we're normal people and can take out our own trash. We can hear every step and groan the people make above us. And there is a bad bug issue - especially when the trash compactor broke for a week and THOUSANDS OF FLYS-LITERALLY FILLED THE APARTMENT BECAUSE THE WINDOWS AREN'T SEALED WELL! The amount of inconvenience we have experienced and dealt with is NOTHING compared to the inconvenience they experienced when giving a notice just short of 60 days- and what to show for it? Nothing. Will not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

I went back to my parents house for a week and came home to spider webs over my shower and roaches everywhere (but No food was in the house as we were preparing to move out). We chose this place specifically for their amenities (pool, valet trash, etc) and the fact it was nonsmoking. I would constantly see people on their balconies and even outside the pool smoking and all the office did was "warn" them. The valet trash didn't come some nights and you can be fined for leaving your trash can outside your door at the wrong times. Overall I would probably go back because of the staff (maybe) but I wouldn't recommend if you won't be there a lot or hate bugs!

Any time it rains, gnats get horrible, all bugs get horrible. We pay for pest control but pest control never comes. My boyfriend and I have been living here for a year and when we first moved in, we were told we could work on race cars, go-karts, whatever we wanted.. but recently, the maintenance man TOOK THE GOKART and the stand, and put it behind the leasing office by the dumpster. WTAF!? Speaking of maintenance, THEY CANNOT KEEP A MAINTENANCE PERSON! At least 3-4 maintenance people have worked at this place during our time here. They have also been taking things from and beside people's front doors and throwing them away in the dumpster. Ex. Kids bikes, toddler toys (an electric toy car aka power wheels), chalk, chairs, side tables (to put groceries on so you can unlock the door) and even some plants. They are very quick to add fines for trash left out your door overnight. (I clean the apartment and leave the trash bags outside overnight so the apartment doesn't smell. All the dumpsters are far away from our apartment and I will not be walking to a dumpster late at night when it's dark outside. In the morning the first thing I do is take the trash to the dumpster. They have no trash services. Usually apartments will have a trash service to where you can leave trash outside and it will get picked up. But no. We have to walk to a dumpster and throw trash away ourselves. The maintenance person will come in your home without a 24 hr notice. Real life Example back when the water leak thing- leasing people- "the maintenance man is at your door, please let them in or they will make entry as if it was an emergency" KEEP IN MIND IT WAS 8:30 IN THE MORNING. The leasing office wasn't even open yet. We were barely up yet. Our daughter was 4 months old at the time. This is not a very good place to live. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

We never experienced any crazy…read moreissues with the apartment, but there's not a lot of storage space inside, the walls are extremely thin, and there's a rumbling train behind the complex. The train literally shook our apartment sometimes, and it came by 6 times between 7 PM - Midnight. Now, if you can get an apartment not close to the train, and near nice neighbors who are quieter, you will probably be okay. The property managers don't really tell you how often the train comes by, and the model apartments aren't close to the train. The amenities we were promised and what was delivered was a bit different. Most of the exercise equipment in the workout room was broken the entire year we lived there. On several occasions, the water hose at the car wash area was broken. There was only one dumpster for the complex and it filled up on the weekends, so people just left trash around it, looking very slack. In addition, the parking lot did not have many spaces. There were barely enough spaces for all the residents, so if anyone had visitors, they had to park extremely far away. When we found out we were moving to Charleston, we didn't have long to find a place. In hindsight, I wish we'd looked around more for a better deal for our money. I will say, I never felt unsafe running or walking around the complex.
