I like that he gives complete instructions to both me and his dental assistant Diane (which is his wife who was formerly an Operating Room Nurse and extremely competent--they work well together!). He uses only advanced equipment, and has a high-tech office which is attractively decorated with photos of their underseas adventures. Besides routine procedures like cleaning and x-rays, I've had my chipped front tooth flawlessly filled, and 2 crowns which blend beautifully with my other teeth. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

His office is smaller, but professional and personable, the other seemed all about the money. I posted a question on the website and within minutes, Dr. O'Connor himself called me back and talked for 20 minutes about my situation! I was hooked. They got me in quickly, were informative, honest, kind and attentive. Diane explained everything so well. I had permanent fixed implant surgery on March 15, 2017, and couldn't be happier with my treatment. They handed me a mirror after and I cried and said thank you many times. I can't even find the words to describe how much this surgery meant to me and when I looked in that mirror, I knew I had done the right thing and Dr. O'Connor and his staff were the perfect ones to do it. They are absolutely awesome and are now my new dentist for life!! If you are contemplating this surgery, do yourself a BIG favor and go to Dr. O'Connor. I trust them completely! I will never again be ashamed to talk or smile or laugh, it's done wonders for my self esteem already and Dr. O'Connor and his staff are TRULY happy for me. Thanks Dr.!!!!

I decided to go to a new dentist after decades, and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Michael White!!!…read more The office is incredibly clean, the staff is helpful and kind, Dr. White has perfect bedside manner and explains things thoroughly, they have the updated technology for X-rays and root canals, and the dentist chair is a massage chair which is bonus! I used to be a dental assistant studying to be a dentist. I know when a dentist is crooked and doing a bad job or making up that your teeth need unnecessary work. Dr. White is the best dentist I've had so far! The $125 for the X-rays and exam is taken off of the first procedure! The root canal is $1375 less than my old dentist! They even approved me for Care Credit with 0% interest, and worked with my financial situation allowing me to be on an affordable monthly payment plan. Due to sensitivity; I thought I that some old decay might have not been completely removed from two root canals. It turns out the bite was just off on both teeth causing pain from pressure. Dr. White filed my caps free of charge and is going to do two root canals on my back molars that have needed to be done. This is by far the best dental experience I hav ever had!

The practice repeatedly performed…read moreor recommended tests and X-rays that were not covered by my insurance without clearly informing me beforehand. On more than one occasion, they attempted to take X-rays even though they knew my insurance only covers them once every 12 months. I felt there was a strong focus on generating additional billable procedures rather than providing transparent patient care. Patients should be fully informed about costs and insurance coverage before unnecessary tests are performed. I was also concerned by the lack of communication regarding staffing changes. Dr. White apparently left the practice after a medical emergency, but patients were not proactively informed that a new dentist would be taking over their care. Overall, I found the business practices to be lacking in transparency, and the experience left me questioning whether recommended procedures were truly necessary. I would encourage prospective patients to carefully review treatment recommendations and verify insurance coverage before agreeing to additional testing

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Ellisville Dental. The only issue…read morewith my teeth was a small gap between my front teeth. Treatment began at the beginning of 2023, and I was charged $4,800 upfront. I paid 50% out of pocket, and the rest was billed to my medical insurance. They set up an auto-pay plan that was supposed to last 12 months at $200 per month. However, they continued charging me for more than 14 months without clear explanation. I requested a full payment and charge breakdown more than 20 times, and they repeatedly refused to provide it. Over the course of nearly 3 years, I was required to attend more than 30 appointments and wear over 50 invisible trays. During this time, I was charged additional fees multiple times for "extra trays" and "lab fees." In total, I ended up spending over $6,000. Despite all of this time, money, and effort, my teeth look essentially the same as they did before treatment. The gap was never fixed, and instead of taking responsibility, they told me I would need to wear a retainer for life. To make matters worse, when I requested a replacement retainer at the end of treatment, they asked me $360. I later confirmed directly with the lab that the actual cost of the retainer is about $10. Ellisville Dental takes no responsibility for failed treatment outcomes and refuses to provide transparency regarding billing or payments. I endured 3 years of discomfort, over 30 appointments, and even a minor surgical procedure, only to end up with no improvement. I have gathered all documentation, including before-and-after photos and payment records, and I am preparing to file a lawsuit. I would strongly caution others to think twice before choosing Ellisville Dental.

I've went to this office since I was three years old.. the previous lady was absolutely amazing,…read moreshe had tiny, dainty, gentle hands & made going to the dentist no big deal even as a child.. eventually she retired & gave her office over to Melissa Rea, I had went to the previous lady for so long I'd figured she wouldn't have given her business to someone who didn't know what they were doing but boy was I wrong. I never had a cavity in my life. Ever. It even showed in my records that they have since I was a child that I've never had any issues besides having braces. So when I went to Melissa for my first time, I was shocked when she said she found a tiny cavity on one of my premolars. I thought whatever, that time had to come eventually so I scheduled to get a filling. My entire life changed after the moment she started drilling into my tooth. I noticed after the numbing wore off that hot & cold food made my tooth that was filled feel like a shot of pain through my entire head.. and when I bit down on something with that tooth, it felt like it was going to shatter. So I went back & told Melissa what happened, she drilled my tooth down, gave me sensitivity tooth paste & sent me on my way. I came back TWO MORE TIMES AND SHE JUST KEPT DRILLING DOWN MY TOOTH FURTHER AND FURTHER. I have been to three different dentists now & each one has said that I need a root canal because of how far Melissa drilled down into my tooth, she literally hit my nerve & it shows in the xrays below. If the cavity was so little why in the world did you drill all the way down to my nerve!!! I have spent countless dollars now trying to fix the botched cavity filling Melissa performed. She honestly should have her dental license removed for malpractice. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have cried over this, I still can't chew or drink anything cold or hot on the left side of my mouth & I've had to wait a year and a half now to get a root canal because I had to get an entirely new dental plan to cover it. I'd just like to say that I'm only twenty years old, I have to pay $2000 for a root canal at twenty years old but somehow I've went my entire life without a cavity until I went to Melissa Rea's office. I've waited 2 years now to post a review about how bad my experience was because I'm still in pain from it & I'm so upset that I let someone whose clearly inexperienced ruin my dental hygiene. Shame on you Melissa.

I made it very clear I was unsure if I was moving forward with my dental implant, since I was having a knee replacement later in the year. I was given a price of $615.00 as my total payment. I was assured everything was covered, regardless if I had my implant or not. Payment was made the day I had the teeth extracted. In August, I received another statement stating that I still owed $83.00, to which I paid right away. Fast forward 10 months, and I receive ANOTHER bill from OFSI for $674.00 stating that there was a "miscommunication" with my insurance company regarding me not getting the implant. 10 months later...when I went to appeal I was denied twice because I was past my 180 day window to appeal. When I questioned why it took 10 months no one could give me an answer. The office staff that I spoke with was not professional and not helpful. I was very frustrated that no one in the office was honest with me letting me know that the bone graft would only be covered IF I went ahead with the dental implant. This office lacks communication and transparency. Plus..I was not happy about the procedure, strapping my hands down in the chair and giving me ZERO post surgical information.
