This hotel is a small boutique hotel with 8 rooms. It is gorgeous inside. Parking is a little tight and they allow for 1 car per room for that reason. On the day of my reservation I received both email and text instructions on how to access the room. I was in the South building in the Rae room. This room was up the steep stairs. The room itself was small and quaint. There were a couple of hooks to hang clothes. They had a tv, keurig, and mini fridge. The bathroom was located across the hall. The pillows were a little uncomfortable. Definitely recommend this non-chain hotel for a different type of vibe.

Wow this hotel is a gem…read more This is a very small hotel with 9 rooms split between two buildings. This is a historic building that's a true gem. Parking: They have a very small private lot that can fit one car per room. In the rare event you can't find parking, the hotel manager can help find you a new spot. Check in and check out: This hotel doesn't have a traditional front desk. Instead you will get a code for your door and the main door of the hotel building that you're in. Each room is so different and definitely find their website to see the difference between them all. While this place doesn't have a front desk and doesn't do daily turn down service, everything you need is just a text away. I truly loved the peace and quiet nature of this hotel. Only downside is since this hotel is an old house, it means that the air conditioning and heating is for the whole building vs the individual rooms. So if one room wants it hotter, everyone gets it hotter. Overall I loved this hotel. It's half a block from downtown Plainfield and walkable to so many wonderful restaurants and stores.

However, I see brithday party guest reviews still posted as well as someone who had gone to a craft show at one of the venues. It was an incredibly beautiful spring day which only enhanced the view. Cocktails were served out on the balcony ~ delightful. Brunch was served buffet style. Everything was hot and food was replenished even before the serving dish was low on its offering. Salads, eggs, an omelette station, waffles, crispy bacon (the way it should be served), sausage, chicken, rolls, potatoes, and I'm sure I'm missing something, , were served. Everything was delicious. The staff were courteous and quick to respond to any request. We had an absolutely marvelous time and enjoyed being a guest.

However, one of the best things about this park is there front desk employee Ashley. She went above & beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. This place is full of seasonal weekenders but she made us feel like part of the community. The most amazing thing was how she handled herself and remained professional while she was the lone person checking in everyone the first day the campground opened, which we happened to arrive that day. We will definitely come back to stay. One recommendation I have is that they offer weekly rates too, not just daily, monthly, and seasonal. I understand this creates some additional logistics but I belive you'll also get more visitors. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area or just passing through.

Our family went here for a relaxing weekend and that was absolutely not what we got. Firstly, our…read morecampsite was marked as a full hookup but the dump tank hookup was so destroyed we could not use it. We still got charged for a full hookup up site. We called for a refund because we could not use the site as it was being advertised and were ignored. Later in the day, the sewer hookup for the site next to us began OVERFLOWING with raw sewage/whatever was coming out of the sewer hookup. We called the camp site multiple times but there was no fix being made. This is a public safety hazard, and there was a creek about 30 feet away, meaning that this camp area was draining sewer matter into the surrounding area's water. This weekend was not great for the resort, it rained so hard later on that the creek completely overflowed. I will give this group a compliment on the fact that they did handle the situation the best that they could. The activities and the pool were nice. But, none of this excuses the fact that there was sewage material flooding out of the ground onto our campsite. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't handle it. We have an elderly dog and we were extremely fearful that she was going to contract something from walking around our own site because of the waste flooding out of the ground. Everyone can make their own decisions on whether they visit this campsite but make sure to keep this in mind.

She had to leave and come back. I do not like the new portal system for checking in!! First it was not explained to me how to use It! I don't like sending personal information over the net, and it wasn't explained to me until I was able to speak to a person at the harbor office that I could have completed some of it on my arrival. The portal eliminates much of the personal contact which I feel helps to make the experience better!! Then, after about 8-9 different stays at the harbor, after NOT breaking anything and maybe leaving the home cleaner than we found it, we had to pay an insurance fee!! NOT given a choice!! Another factor we found out on the day before arriving on the non helpful portal! Just another way for more money to be made with less personal contact. We generally lovery spending time at the harbor, but things are definitely changing and I'm not sure all for the better!
