I just moved to Shelby after 53 years in Arizona. I tore my retina in Arizona and for the last 4 years, I have not been able to see out of my left eye. The doctors in Arizona said that's the best we can do. Dr. Ford told me he could fix that and I was super suspicious that it would happen. He said it would take a few days after the procedure but it was almost immediate that I could see. The team was helpful and supportive. Thank you sooooo much. I just had the worst experience with calling this office to see if I can make an appointment. At first the woman that answered was fine, but when she found out they could my insurance that when she was asking about my specific condition and saying the doctors done have availability until next May(2026)! She kept saying she had to know what condition it is in order to schedule me and would not give me an appointment. I gave an answer for the appointment but she pressed me and I refused to tell her and asked why she needed to know what eye condition I have. The website showed this location had a lot of doctors. I felt like the woman was discriminating because of my insurance and lying about the availability of the doctors and have horrible customer service. I called explaining that I had issues going on. The receptionist said that the next appointment was in June. Omg, it's October. Seriously?!?!? Called another doctor office and I got an appointment in 4 days this office really needs to check their appointment book. I've never experienced this kind of wait when having a problem. Obviously they are that great to make patients wait for 7 months to be seen. Not good business in my opinion. But, who am I to judge!!! Just someone in need. Don't waste your time going here - because you will. Dr. Blanton was running an hour late for his appointments. There was no explanation given to the waiting patients by the office staff. They didn't even alert patients that he was late. No text or alert from the office was given to let patents know to plan accordingly. The office staff would be overheard making fun of patients who inquired about how long they had to wait. Disrespectful staff and doctor. Save your time (a lot of it) and money. Go someplace where they respect your time and you. read more

Very well managed, I have never been left waiting for a long period of time as I have at other physicians offices. Very knowledgeable, and can always answer all my questions. The physicians here always take their time with me, and when I am getting glasses or contacts, they ensure that everything is properly fitted before I leave, and tell me if there is any problem to call or come back in. read more
