It's a seafood restaurant, a teppanyaki bar, a seafood market and a fish and chip takeaway shop all in the one place. In theory you would think, wow that's pretty cool. Practically yes, it is quite cool to go to the one place and see all this stuff... but it's not. I'll tell you why. The prices are too expensive, the serving portions have gotten smaller throughout the years and the service was really slow the last time I went. It's a long drive for many people out there, and you'd want it to be good right? The outside area overlooking the ocean is a bit dirty... the tables needed cleaning and while I ordered cod... the fish tasted not so cod. If you get what I'm saying. I'm not saying that what they gave me wasn't cod... I'm just saying it tasted like a cod 'basa' fish. The view is spectacular, so it is a pity my latest and probably last experience for a while wasn't as up to par as I'd thought it previously to be. It will take a lot of promotions and good word of mouth to get me back there. read more

Lunch at Morgans.... well this place used to be legendary, i remember making the drive from Brisbane to share sunday lunch with my family back in the day. When i happened to be passing by at lunch time i couldn't resist. What struck me upon walking through the front door was the overwhelming smell / stench of fishy smells coming from the fresh seafood section. I know these places will have a fishy odour but Sammys Girl and Gambaros dont smell this bad. Made me wonder if they had cleaned the display cases properly? Also disconcerting was the appearance of the cooking area which was overdue for a good clean. Lunch was a fresh snapper fillet fried in breadcrumbs, a fried crabcake and chips. The fish was well cooked and really tasty, the crabcake was just okay and chips 10/10. The outlook from the outside picnic tables was terrific, even if some of the punters don't understand what "do not feed the birds" sign mean.. I was joined by a very well fed seagull who jumped up on my table (see photo). I named him Clyde after a friend of mine who always turned up at home at dinner time.. Our Fish and Chips last Wednesday would have to be the worst we've ever had anywhere! Flathead was tasteless. Whiting was dry and tasteless and we could only taste the breadcrumbs. Yeah , I know, what can you say, fish and chips, is, fish and chips. But I must admit, there is something about eating fish and chips by the water amongst the fishing trawlers and marina.Morgan's has been around for while. They do a good fish and chip, it is very popular , and be prepared to wait. The only thing that was regrettable was the size of the whiting fillet. Yesterday, My family and I went to MORGANS SEAFOOD RESTAURANT and feel upset with their service. They lost our order and keep us waiting for so long, but their management did not talk to us and only let we choose either keep going our order or refund the money. She did not talk to us or do anything to show her apology. This is the worst shopping Experience I have got in Australia. Even online shops has better service then them. read more

Just returned from Morgans Seafood, very disappointed. We have been there numerous times but this time the cooking oil was obviously very old and imparted a very bad taste to the fish, chips, calamari and potato scallop. The fish (flathead) had a rather unpleasant taste and I think was quite stale. The potato scallop was burnt (how hard is it to cook a potato scallop?) The cost was $33.45, expensive when you consider the disappointing quality of the product. We have previously enjoyed eating at Morgans but won't be interested in going back again. It appears as if they are relying on their previous good name and have let the standard slip badly. read more

Sorry but you missed the boat here Morgan's . There's just no excuse for the prawns in the prawn tub to not be fresh. Very disappointing

We thought due to how many people were ordering from Morgans that it must be a nice place to buy our seafood lunch with our friends. How wrong were we. Very disappointed. They got the order wrong, didn't put everything in our bag that we ordered and two pieces of the fish were not cooked properly chewy and disgusting. Only thing that wad ordered that tasted like it should was the potato scallops. The staff also need to learn not to wipe there heads with there gloves that they are handling food with as well. Obviously only worth spending the money on if you love seafood. Best value for money is the seafood buffet they have on Thursdays. Also it is worth checking out the Tappanyaki room. You'll get some entertainment and tasty food. It is advised to book in advanced for the Tappenyaki room. All in all this is a great restaurant for seafood lovers and it has a nice setup overlooking the waterfront. read more
