Seems like most of the local shops charge as much as the dealers! Some old friends had moved to Tallahassee and recommended this shop to us so I had my son take his sister's car then because it needed the valve cover gaskets changed and he was unable to do it. A Plus Dealer Alternative was able to get it done faster and at a better price than several other shops and did a great job! They even fixed another minor problem they found while working it with no additional charge. I was very happy not to have to pay expensive dealer prices for relatively routine work. Very please with the way they operate and with their workmanship. Highly recommend them!

I elected not to have them do the additional work, but instead took the van to Johnson's, telling Johnson's I definitely needed new tie rod ends. They called me the next day to let me know I did not, in any estimation they could figure, need new tie rod ends. They charged my AC system for $70, and sent me on my way. They have a longstanding reputation for honesty, well-earned.

When I call for updates they "accidentally" disconnect the call, or put me on hold and forget to comeback to the phone. I was told it would be 19 hours of labor to have my car finished. At the time of typing this review they still have not completed my car. I was told they would call me today with an update. They never called. These are horrible people. They are thieves. They are scammers. Not sure how they are still open. Avoid at all costs if you value your time money and sanity. Disgustingly slow and stupid people. Will be reporting this scam shop to the BBB. Somehow I forgot the right day, and took the car in on Wednesday. Although they were busy, the manager told me to leave it for an hour and they would squeeze me in to see what the problem was; I walked down Capital Circle to Publix to have a Coke while I waited. 45 minutes later the manager called me to tell me the rear rotors and pads were worn through and needed replacement, they could do it then in about 3 hours, or I could make an appointment and bring it back in a few days. I replied that I couldn't wait three hours -- a close friend of mine with a terminal condition was being med-evacuated the following morning to his family in Dallas, and this was my last chance to see him. There was a pause at the other end of the line, and the manager said: give us 75 minutes and we'll have it ready for you. 80 minutes later I was back in my car, brakes fixed, on my way to a last visit with my old friend.
