I went to Dr. Morganroth on 02/20/26 for a full body scan that I routinely need following melanoma surgery some years ago. Even though he was not yet in my current Medicare plan, he performed the scan thoroughly and made valuable follow-up recommendations, charging a fee that was very generously discounted. 2/12/26...today Dr. Morganroth performed MOHS surgery on my facial squamous cell carcinoma. 5 weeks ago he performed MOHS surgery on my facial basal cell carcinoma. I have never had facial carcinoma so this was all a first. I have very fair skin being of Irish descent, so have quite a bit of sun damage in my senior years. I was a patient for several years of Dr Morganroth. He is extremely arrogant and pompous. I had SEVERAL mohs procedure w him and every time his procedures looked very messed up and I never healed from them even though he claims to be the only mohs surgeon in Bay Area. My final straw going to his practice he told me I had the worst kind of melenamo on my nose and told me he is the only dr in the United States that can perform a forehead flip which is 100,000 per procedure and need it done 4-6 times to get decent results. When he told me price I said wow 600,000 he said you can afford it!!!!! What!!!! Who says that to there patient!!!! I now I found out his practice is funded by Goldman Sachs!!!!! This is a money making business that tell people to have procedures they don't need!!!!! Btw I never did the forehead flip w him and found out he didn't invent this procedure that he claimed he did!!!!! I went to see the dr in Chicago that invented it!!!!! I had a chin implant and liposuction of the neck with Dr. Morganroth, the evening before a holiday. There was only one nurse In the office to assist the doctor during surgery and no one else. He put in an implant to large for my face; it was painful, crooked and completely changed my looks in a negative way. After surgery, I was in tremendous pain for weeks (on pain meds). I was extremely swollen for months. I could not lay down on one side of my face without pain until it was removed. FYI: if you have an chin implant no doctor will even look at you before 6 months if you want to remove it - on account of swelling and healing. I went to Dr. Morganroth for a post surgery follow up/discussion. He thought his work was perfect. Because I was unhappy with the results, Dr. Morganroth offered to remove the implant at no charge. However, I decided I did not want to take another chance with him. I paid a Cosmetic Surgeon to remove my crooked large and painful implant. It was replaced with an appropriately sized implant. I had minimal swelling and only had to take Tylenol for a few days. It looked better instantly. I was very happy when the bandages came off. As it was the right size, straight and I was out of pain. Top notch dermatologist and surgeon. Spotted the smallest freckle on my back that he said looked suspicious. I didn't think it was anything. Turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma. He also spotted another cancerous area that had to be removed with a Moh's procedure. Both times he removed my cancerous cells and the recovery was fantastic. My husband first went to Dr Morganroth for Mohs surgery about 15 yrs ago. His ear was basically removed and rebuilt and looking at it today you can't even tell. He has gone back twice now for Mohs surgery on his nose and again on his ear. The results have been great. When I decided to have 2 procedures .. done both under local which was great because I did not want to be "put under" there was no one else I trusted but Dr Morganroth to do the surgery. Pretty interesting. I wrote a one star review five or six years ago that has mysteriously disappeared. At the time I wrote it there were MANY bad reviews that I no longer see here. Will try to make this long story as brief as possible. My ex husband had a weird thumbnail that had been lifting and turning black over the course of a year. Finally talked him into seeing a doctor because I had heard of nail cancer. Morganroth assured him it was not cancer but admitted he did not know what it was. We were relieved. Another year went by and I happened to meet a dermatologist at a community event. I mentioned to him about my husband's nail and he told me it should have been biopsied. The next week my ex went to this new doctors office and had a biopsy done. Results MELANOMA. We had trusted morganroth when he said it was nothing to worry about. A tumor over 4.0 mm deep is potentially life threatening. My husband's was 7.45! He was scheduled for immediate amputation and intense treatments. He lost a whole year which greatly reduced his life expectancy. Let's see if the review sticks this time. I don't even see the last one in the hidden reviews. read more

I wrote a one star review 2 years ago and it "mysteriously vanished"soon afterward. Dr Morganroth has dollar signs in his eyes. After complaining about his young, poorly trained staff while promising to completely take care of the small scar I was seeing him to be treated for (at very, very steep fee), Dr. Morganroth brought me into a quasi dirty room and left me with his technician. I came to Dr. Morganroth to remove a birth mark on my nose. The treatment did not go very well. Every time I went for a laser appointment it seemed like he barely knew why I was there although he was very nice. I suppose I didn't matter as much because this was cosmetic and not a health condition, however since it was on my face it mattered very much to me. The price was astronomical as I'd done a similar treatment in southern California for much cheaper with better results. The WORST part about my experience was his staff. I visited the office a few times and on one of the visits when I showed up after taking a day off work for my treatment they informed me that Dr. Morganroth was not in for the day. This was when I was AT the office for my appointment. They had no excuse for why they didn't inform me beforehand nor did they really apologize. It was extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here just for this but also because you barely get 2 minutes with the doctor each time. They didn't take the time to numb me before treatment most times and the one time they did they were annoyed at having to do so and rushed the process because of it. I would go elsewhere it didn't really seem like they cared about their patients they just cared about the money. I have never written a review on YELP before but my experience was so superior, I feel compelled to share it with other ladies debating getting a face lift and searching for the right surgeon. I started my thinking process 3 years ago when I was 67 years old and didn't like loosing my chin line and battling a sagging neck. I am slim and trim so the appearance of the neck was predominant. I searched surgeons, engaging in appointments with three surgeons that left me with an uneasy feeling I might get an unnatural look for the amount of money these plastic surgeons were asking. So I waited for three years. A good friend and neighbor who was battling melanoma needed my help to take him to and from a few surgeries to restore an ear and a nose. I never thought he would look the same again once the cancer was removed. But to my surprise, he looked even better than before after a healing period. That neighbor told me his dermatologist did the surgeries, Dr Morganroth. (And my neighbor even mentioned there were some complications during a holiday period and Dr Morganroth opened his office just to take care of his needs.. big wow) So I made an appointment and was thrilled this talented surgeon took me on as a patient for cosmetic surgery. I had a vertical neck lift on December 14th and the results are so natural and so outstanding, I can't stop looking at myself. I'm 70 and I look as good as I feel! I was prepared to stay indoors for a month or two. I was prepared to hurt a lot. I took everything into consideration and took the leap of faith after a couple of appointments that answered all of my many many questions. It took only 3 days for me to be up and around and off even Tylenol! I was told by one of the many interns that follow the doctor around, that while I was sedated, he was done with the lift but then took a lot of time to see his work and decided he would do just a little more so that I could get the best possible look. That's the kind of perfectionist he is! My poor husband was put in a position to change my bandages behind my ears but we were also surprised there was no blood. Had an under chin lipo with dr. gregory morganroth a few years back and was left with scar tissue which needed to be removed by a renowned plastic surgeon out of San Francisco (massive additional cost, anyone???). I am a professional woman and I work for my money, so paying someone else to fix dr. m's heavy hand was not what I was looking for. DO NOT GO TO DR. It is now about a year since this famous and very experienced but arrogant skin surgeon did a MOHS on a 1mm barely visible basal cell carcinoma I had on my face, only 1 layer deep. Each day I continue to have to look at a 3-4 mm red intermittently inflammatory area on my face at the site of the surgery, that does not permanently go away, in addition to a depigmented area of my lip where for unclear reasons he put a final suture and quickly pulled hard and heavenward on the lip with just one hand, increasing trauma to that area. I had heard of his arrogance and reluctance to listen to patients about when things do not go as expected but foolishly thought I would still be best off going to him. When my DH had a pus-like reaction to sutures on his skin cancer wound a few years ago when he had his skin cancer removed, this important doctor had gotten very annoyed when DH had insisted on seeing him and not just his lower trained nurse assistant who did not at all know what to do and pretended nothing was wrong. He had then ?punished my husband for intruding on his time by aggressively digging out the offending burrowed in sutures from beneath the skin as quickly as he could with no anesthesia or empathy for the pain or attempt to minimize it, presumably so he could hurry up and move on to procedures that would earn new revenue. But like a fool I went to him anyway because he is famous for MOHS and I figured I could handle a conceited doctor as long as he was skilled and had good results getting rid of cancer with minimal facial scarring, which I thought likely for my tiny lesion. He was brusque, arrogant, accusatory ( I have a complicated medical history), and argumentative on his pre-op day when he first met me, and his manner on the surgery day was even worse than at pre-op, e.g., bizarrely and surprisingly asking me while I was in the dark under the sterile surgical drape what kind of suture he should do to close the wound and when I said I honestly would need to know more information to decide what kind, he had said that HE was the doctor so HE would decide. I asked why he was then asking me, if he had already decided, and he then sarcastically and condescendingly patronized me by first-naming me, calling me "sweetie" and patting me on my shoulder ( apparently he had apparently forgotten it is chronically sore) .I am an older professional woman, not a child or a senile 95-year-old, so in this day and age to be treated like a naughty child is disgusting He did not do my wound check a week post-op, a medical assisant saw me and removed the sutures. She did not acknowledge my concerns , and did not even take a picture to show the doctor, even though I reminded her that my history included some risk factors for infection and healing problems, and just said I would have discomfort and numbness for six months ( half my face was numb and painful and remained distorted and hard to talk out of and hard to eat for two months, then was only numb, and meanwhile the inflammatory red bumps kept popping up). As the doctor and staff clearly had shown no interest in proper communication, when it was clear I was not healing normally, to avoid surging my blood pressure and stroking out dealing with him, I quickly went to another surgeon to try and deal with this recurrent problem. That repair-job surgeon has behaved politely and done the best possible to get to the bottom of and mitigate the inflammation, and eventually biopsied my lesion to make sure there is no residual cancer, and there is not. But it is likely going to be permanent scarring and an unsightly red bump, and I have gone from someone who never wore makeup or lipstick to having a choice between starting to do so now, or having an obvious distracting lesion for my clients to stare at, and an area of lip depigmentation. My tiny skin cancer is indeed apparently gone, so I will give him a couple stars for that, but ilikely something any low budget skin surgeon could have gotten rid of, and without the aggravation of his hurried and lord-of-the-manor style (not to mention his confused and inflated billing practices). Perhaps if he does cash-pay cosmetic procedures he is more careful, spends more time and is more polite. I had no option to cash pay and get extra attention to be "special" because I have insurance, and this is a boilerplate procedure, so I was relegated to the doctor's assembly line cash cow MOHS mill. Perhaps he is also better if he deals with cute young women, or important male movers and shakers or pals, maybe then he is more careful and pleasant, so YMMV and maybe depending on who you are, you will love this guy as long as your insurance pays, but I obviously will not be back. To be clear, I am not at all implying any malpractice, just disappointing mediocrity of results in my case, and what I observed was arrogance, rushing, disrespect, and not listening to my (and previously my DH's) concerns. read more

They combined an absolute professionalism that inspired confidence and a warmth that reassured and just plain made me feel good about my procedure and the process. I researched the idea of having a blepharoplasty for 2 months and had several consultations with other doctors. After weeks of gathering and comparing the information I received, including information from Dr. Morganroth and his staff, I decided to go with Dr. Morganroth primarily because his procedure was the least invasive and his previous patients were very happy with the results. I was told to prepare for 2 weeks of recovery time, but in reality I recovered in 1 week, and was able to return to work! I am ecstatic that the puffy bags are gone! He continues to monitor my results with ongoing periodic appointments, which indicates to me his true concern for patient satisfaction. Dr. Morganroth has been my doctor for over 15 years, I have had more then 13 surgeries, with 10 of them on my face and head. From having one of the worst was when he had to do a skin graph and take cartledge from my ear to reconstruct my left whole side if my nostril. I was so afraid of what I was going to look like and be left with. I need to tell you he did a great!!!!! Job. With the amount of stiches I have had you would never have any Idea. People are amazed and shocked with how great I look and so am I. Just had my 60th birthday nobody believes I'm 60 they say I look no older them late 40's. In 2004 I noticed something a little odd on my nose and it turned out to be a little basal cell cancer. It was very small but somehow different so I did my research and discovered Mohs surgery and Dr. Morganroth. I confess, I thought they got it wrong and it wasn't really cancer, but during the surgical procedure when I kept going back to the waiting area and then being called back in because they kept finding all the margins weren't clear, I accepted it really was cancer. It was significant and my nose was a real mess. During the procedure Dr. Morganroth discussed what he was going to do with an assistant doctor - and I could tell the assistant was hanging on every word. The assistant was obviously learning massively. I ended up with a big "W" on my nose, it healed well (I tend to heal well) and after a year? if you looked very closely, you might have seen a little unevenness in that area. I don't wear make-up and no one has ever looked twice at my nose - except a little baby right after surgery who was frightened by the bandage. A few check ups later Dr. Morganroth showed me a picture of my nose when it was mid surgery. It was straight out of a horror film - all dismantled. I really don't see how he got it put back together at all, let alone in original condition. All these years later, I can see why Dr. Morganroth's practice has grown so dramatically. He truly is gifted. And I can see why, just like all throughout Silicon Valley, money is front and center. It's what it takes to survive there so I don't hold it against the practice. But, unlike a lot of other doctors, he actually delivers value. I have never had any further issues with my nose and if it hadn't been handled so expertly, it could have made a real mess of my life. And, as a bonus, he performed my aged mother's checkup with extreme kindness. She loved him! Today, we go in for a little odd mole on my husband back. I had a very good experience with Dr Morganroth. I waited no more then 30 minutes on any of my visits. He was very skilled at his work and is extremely careful not to over sell anything. He runs a busy office and works very fast and efficiently. To compensate for the lack of a huge amount of time he has for each patient, his support personnel and nurses are there to take lots of time with you and work very hard to answer all questions and concerns in a professional warm manner. Really competent guy with a clean track record of doing good work. If you want a doctor to hug and make 'lasting best buddy' noises at you, he probably won't do that. Dr. Morganroth is amazing at what he does. I recently had a surgical procedure that I consider a huge success. I felt very well taken care of every step of the way. He and his staff made sure that I felt comfortable at all times. He was able to suggest options to me that I would have never known were available and now I will be enjoying the results forever. Dr. Morganroth made himself available via phone over the weekend, as I had some discomfort after surgery. He immediately got on the phone and prescribed some medication. I didn't even had to wait for a call back. I also received a very nice flower arrangement from his office later that day that really helped brighten my day.
