Paid a lot of $$ to have all our windows replaced. The window latch failed and we have water intrusion inside our home. We scheduled a repair and "tech" came out and looked at it. We were told the next step would be to have them come out and re-seal around the windows. Well, we've been promised that someone would come out. We've been promised someone would call. Frankly, all we've gotten is excuses and delays. I've had to follow up with their "legal liaison" (who needs a legal liaison unless you're constantly running into legal problems?!?) who, on the surface seems helpful, but NOTHING is getting done and it's exhausting to have to continually follow up on a vendor that doesn't do what they say. Spent over $30,000 on new windows and they're much, much less sealed than our very old ones. They leak nonstop air and humidity, you can literally feel a strong breeze coming through them that will rattle paper if you hold it in front.... Not kidding it's so much wind that it moves a wind sock. They do not stand behind their word. A 120 sq ft siding Job started with a dumpster arriving in my driveway without notice 3 days before the job was to begin. Sub contractors did not show up until 2 days past when they said they would begin work. They didn't even bother to call / text me. When they finally began work they did a good job however when I pointed something out that I had asked to be done, all worked stopped until someone could confirm what I asked for. I could also sense some attitude. Later, when I asked for something to be cosmetically fixed that literally would have taken 10 min to complete, the sub contractor said to call the company and they would come back another day. It turned out to be another 2 days later. I asked about caulking and he also said, "that's another guy". It took over a week to get someone to finish the caulk job. And as it turned out, it was not another guy but the same sub contractor. What should have been a 2 day job at the most, took 3 weeks to finish. This is what happens when you deal with companies using subcontractors. While the quality of work was good, the customer service was terrible. read more

We had our front door and glass side panels replaced by Morgan about 12 years ago. The installation was smooth and done by skilled craftsmen. Have been very pleased with it. What is outstanding is they stand by their work. We recently had problems with the door handle and lock mechanism. Morgan came out and replaced the entire assembly at no charge to us. read more

It has now been over a year since we hired Morgan Exteriors to replace windows. The project is STILL incomplete. We have windows without screens and it's a mess around the install. There have been significant delays, no shows, crews having to leave because they had the wrong products, incorrect measurements of our windows, failure to order the correct products, poor communication from the location, us having to do the leg work for the permit, empty promises, etc. etc. The latest communication was the office manager on 8/27 stating she would have someone "reach out right away" to schedule what we hope to be the final visit. Still waiting. The owner was on the emails and hasn't bothered to step in and resolve this. They've received payment and not held up their own contract. Absolutely the Worst Experience - Do Not Recommend I have never experienced so many delays in my life. Morgan Exteriors has horrible communication within their own departments, and it shows. The job was supposed to be completed in February, yet here we are in August and it's still not done properly. When they installed the siding, there were a few minor issues that needed fixing -- but instead of resolving them promptly, the delays just kept piling up. To make matters worse, we agreed the project would be financed, yet they took $35,000 straight out of my bank account, leaving me with insufficient funds and not even offering an apology for their mistake. We have now sent numerous emails with pictures with no response back now we have a busted window and no contractor will make good on promises when sold. The install crew was sloppy and did very poor work. The job failed the county inspections 3 times and barely passed on the fourth. The second crew even argued with the inspectors on what should pass. Paint and glue slopped all around, and not cleaned up. Gaps between the windows and walls. I could see day light coming around the doors, and they argued that was normal. The wrong hardware was used and not hurricane rated. On door was totally lacking the screws to hold the door not in. I am still fixing and cleaning up their installation. Horrible installation, product is falling apart, multiple service requests submitted that have gone unanswered by the company, even promises to correct "some" of my concerns but still nothing. A tech was sent to review these issues, made notes of problems to be fixed, even a follow up call from a manager stating parts were being ordered. However, that was at least 4 months ago and still no response. Over $20k spent for crappy installation, horrible customer service and a product that has been falling apart since payment was accepted. We started a siding and windows job on our home in early 2024. $100k later, the job is still incomplete and it's impossible to get them to actually follow through on their commitment to finish the job. The Full Story Before I get into the details, it's important to note that part of this is my fault. I didn't follow through with my normal due diligence before choosing to work with Morgan Exteriors. I could have contracted out this work myself for a fraction of the cost and none of the truckloads of unnecessary friction and drama that ensured. I will do them a solid and not mention specific names. Context: I purchased a front door, installation, and paint from Morgan Exteriors for about 5.5k. I have two tenants living in the property and have to coordinate visits. Here were the major sticking points: - I waited for over 2 months for them to make it out to my property - The installation was left in an incomplete state - The strike plate and deadbolt did not latch appropriately, the peep hole eyepiece was an incorrect fit, and there were missing screws - The department at Morgan Exteriors responsible for coordinating city inspections was trying to set up an inspection date before the installation had been completed - A second appointment was made to finish up my installation - The technician showed up to my property and called me - completely clueless - while I was at work to ask me what he was supposed to be doing at the property - The technician did not have the right tools / materials and therefore had to leave my property and the door, once again, in an unfinished state - We scheduled a follow up appointment - The technician did not show up, inconveniencing my tenants who had set aside time away from the work to be there - We scheduled a third visit - This time, they did most of the work, but ended up leaving my door in a state where the smart lock does not close appropriately, which I suppose constitutes "done" in their minds - We schedule inspections and made it through with no issues - They scheduled a painting company called Kairos Services to finish up the paint I paid for and left me to manage communications with them directly - Kairos Services showed up to my property an hour early and was completely uninformed about the job - he was prepared to do paint indoors and brought the wrong color / type of paint - At this point, time had expired and my tenant needed to leave for work, necessitating yet another visit - At the time of this writing (5.5 months after dropping over $5,500 on a front door) this is the stage we are at - still no paint, job still not finished In the end, that's one no-show, two instances when contractors showed up at the property unaware about job details, and dozens of emails and phone calls to shore up confusion / chaos Communicating with the front office staff was tremendously frustrating and disappointing. They made commitments to follow up with me on this or that, but I had to end up chasing them most of the time to keep the project moving forward. In spite of all these headaches, I gave Morgan Exteriors several off ramps to de-escalate my and my tenants' frustrations and offer something in the way of a refund as a gesture of good faith. After much arm wrestling, they took away my warranty on the door in exchange for a $400 check, which in itself feels like a pretty disingenuous apology since I ultimately paid a penalty in spite of doing nothing wrong (aside from trusting them to install a door for me). Do yourself a favor - fire Morgan Exteriors from your team, purchase the parts you need, and hire out contractors / companies who know how to treat their customers with respect. My experience with them was awful - they are incompetent, do not do quality work, do not follow their jobs - I wish I had seen other reviews before ever signing their contract. I had them replace 2 sliding glass doors and one window following Hurricane Helen. They were also supposed to replace the glass in my front door but after multiple attempts it was clear they didn't have the expertise to do the job. I had to start over again with a new company and they did a great job. Twice Morgan Exteriors even compromised my personal safety and didn't care enough to resolve the situation immediately. First was when they installed the sliding glass doors and then realized they didn't have the door handles. They told me that someone had forgotten to order them. When I asked how I was supposed to lock the doors they didn't know. I suggested they try the handles on the doors they just removed and luckily they fit. They didn't come back to put in the correct handles until several weeks later. The second time was in October when the locking mechanism fell out. I wrote a message right away including pictures and said I could not lock the back door to my house. No concern or immediate response so I had to go buy a chain and lock to secure my home. It was 28 days before they came to reinstall the lock - the screws that were used initially were too short. Many, many issues. Failed inspection because only half of the required screws were installed. Many no shows. So many miscommunications within the company. I wrote a letter to the head of the company and got no response. The office manager threatened me with involving a lawyer which was amusing since I just wanted the work complete in a reasonable manner. I found this company researching businesses that replace windows in Tampa. While viewing their social media page I saw that they run a $15k home makeover sweepstakes so I entered the contest. The contest page ask for your contact info and your agreement for their solicitation which I agreed to since I wanted to speak with them anyway. The next morning after I had submitted my info thy called me like crazy. At first I didn't know who it was because the number shows as "Seamless Communications" and not the company's name. I didn't have time to speak with them until they called two more times the following day. I spoke to a rep and told him that I was interested in getting a quote for windows and a separate quote for a door replacement. They preface the whole call as the sweepstakes call and keep saying things like "if you win the sweepstakes". I genuinely was interested in a quote to submit to my mortgage company who is holding funds for a window replacement. I explained this to the guy. He understood and scheduled me for a Sat. afternoon appt which would be about 90 mins long. One day before the appt. I get a call from another rep to confirm the next day appt. which I confirm. She then ask me to verify that it is not for an insurance claim. I told her I explained to the guy that I need an estimate to submit in order to pay for services. She said they don't give that type of estimate and which I curiously ask, "what type of estimates do you all give?" (because whaaat?!!) She then explains they don't give itemized estimates. Luckily I have another company already coming out on Sat to give me an estimate. Now I just need to find another company or two to compare quotes. This place was a huge waste of time, unless of course I win the $15k, which I doubt will happen after they see this review because I'm sure it's either a scam to get them to come out to your house and give you an inflated estimate that they don't itemize for that purpose or they choose the "winners" themselves. ;) read more

My experience has been very stressful. All around very nice people. I just think they need to step up their services in quality of work (finishing in a timely manner) and hire someone to clean up behind their workers and hire some inspectors. Unfortunately, I paid in full after the install. prior to having the inspection and final trim completed. It took well over a month, and multiple calls to get the inspector and final service completed. Then when it was scheduled they didn't show up until about 6 pm and didn't finish until after 8:30. I had asked to have them wash the windows as well but that wasn't possible. Now I am paying $800 for window washing. They are great but don't make any payment until the final and make sure you put washing the windows in the contract. read more

Nice guy came to my house totally seemed like he had no experience. Was here for 4 hours! Finally got to the estimate that was over twice as much as other companies. They wanted 20k for a set of front doors I hadn't even picked out yet! The whole estimate was $115k granted it's a big house but other estimates were in the mid 50's with no front door. They deleted the door and my estimate went down to $51k from the $115k. Who does business like that? Car salesman? Took off work, called us day of installation to cancel because of rain. I had to check weather forecast to pick another day. Dont they have a scheduling superintendent that checks these things??? Project management 101. Crew shows up around 9ish to begin work, installs wrong windows in the front of the house then LEAVES for nearly 4 hours. Finished up job around 8:30 pm, IN THE DARK & leaves a mess. Excessive caulk around windows inside & outside. Another employee had to clean up the mess weeks later. Do not do ANYTHING with Morgan Exteriors out of Jacksonville as a contractor. We have had nothing but problems with them from day one. This project has been going on for over two months. - They installed the siding OVER the vent from our dryer. This could cause a house fire. When they came out to "fix it", they didn't secure the outgoing vent in the wall causing it to blow into the interior of our wall. This could also cause a fire. - they lied to us about our exterior plumbing. They cut holes in the protective covers to "fit" the handle and when we wanted it fixed to look more professional, they claimed the handle was non standard on homes. The contractor's suggested fix was to cut the handles shorter, which would leave a jagged edge to cut us and less lever to turn the handle comfortably. A plumber said they were the new preferred handles for houses. - they left nail holes all over the house. Visually it looks awful. There's nine nails in one end of a single board! We've spoken to the manufacturer of the siding boards and they said that was extreme and unnecessary. When we asked for the nail holes to be filled it, we were told "that's how it's supposed to look" despite seeing other examples of installation looking nothing like the result we got, and we had to fight to get them filled. - there's large gaps in the siding. The contractor claims it's supposed to be that way despite it's inconsistency in application. The manufacturer said the siding should be "moderately touching" and that the siding does not need any room to expand or contract. - they painted our garage door shut, in addition to the very sloppy paint job. I keep finding globs of paint left everywhere. They did not paint all the trim. We've had to have them out to fix the job multiple times and are still fighting for them to finish the trim. - the caulking job along the edges of the boards was uneven, visibly haphazard, and left large gaps. It honestly looks like crap and will probably lower the value of our home, and every worker that's been sent out to "fix" things have said so. The very people who get contracted by the company. When we tried to bring it up with the contractor he insisted that's how it's supposed to look and to go view other houses with our siding installed. I have - they look nothing like the level of uneven sloppiness on our house with huge globs. He became increasingly hostile and insistent we didn't know what we were talking about. -The contractor's attitude is "of course things are wrong, that's what the guarantee is for" instead of doing the job correctly the first time or correcting any issues before they become worse. It's outright appalling. Please please please, for your safety and the safety of your friends, let people know this company is awful and unprofessional. I have been using Morgan for more than 30 years. They have done my siding and all of the windows. The windows for most of the house were done in 2017. The Sunroom windows were done a year ago. With all the talk of a bad hurricane season my wife and I revisited the hanging of shutters that came with all the windows. We discovered the Sunroom Windows didn't have pins for shutters installed. Notified Morgan last Friday and Geo and his crew came today. Great crew. Clean, efficient, and good people. Installation took an hour and we couldn't be more thrilled at their work. The public can decide to take it or leave it. But this is my experience. We attended the Home Show and on passing the booth we approached it to get a brochure. We chatted with one of the attendants and asked permission if we can take 'one'. Naturally the attendant wanted a lead and he insisted that we make an appointment. Neither I nor my wife was interested in making an appointment to start with. All we wanted was the brochure. But the guy persevered. At that time I advised him that we were closing on the property on the 20th Jan 2023 and that I had access. So we can then get a quote prior to closing and occupancy. I am not sure why he called out the name of the owner as they had nothing to do with this. Shame on you. The appointment was confirmed with the person that called me the morning as per my original review. I told him that I was the decision maker and that my spouse was not attending. I also told him that if this was a problem then let us cancel the appointment. He replied that it would not be an issue. But clearly it was because they never showed as per my original review.
