I self paid a lot $$$ for her two-phase treatment: a daytime appliance worn for several months alongside a mandibular advancement device (MAD) at night. I trusted the process because they said it would "treat my TMJ," improve my jaw position, and prevent future problems. Unfortunately, this approach ended up creating new issues I never had before. The daytime appliance changed my bite, and the MAD put my jaw in a forward position that irritated my joint and muscles. After stopping treatment, it took months for my jaw and bite to settle again. I know have a severe occlusion. I later learned that this day-appliance MAD protocol is not standard TMJ care and is not recommended by most orofacial pain specialists or TMJ-focused clinicians. A MAD is typically used for sleep apnea, not treating displaced discs or TMJ disorders. None of this was clearly explained to me before starting. I also was never tested for sleep apnea. I wish I had been told the risks, alternatives, and the fact that this method is not evidence-based for TMJ treatment. I also wish the focus had been on conservative care rather than multiple appliances that ultimately made my symptoms worse. I'm sharing this so others can do their research, ask detailed questions, and get a second opinion from a true TMJ specialist before committing to this type of protocol

Went in for routine check up and cleaning, never had a cavity in my life. I go every 6 months to…read morethe dentist. I was told I had 8 cavities, needing 1 crown. Not knowing else, I had them all treated here. 4 of the fillings fell out just by flossing teeth normally. I ended up going to a new dentist. Essentially all of the fillings were not prepared correctly, some had cavities under them already after only months. The crown needs redone already. Cost a fortune to fix and now im left with sensitive teeth and messed up tooth gaps. If you ever just want dentures and to have your teeth ripped out go here, otherwise I'd recommend elsewhere.

She left the casting in my mouth a little too long, where she was forcefully prying my stuck mouth open. Once she had the temporary crown made,,,she tried to put it in my mouth & the crown kept falling out. She had to start all over again. Second time with the casting in my mouth, she was manipulating my jaw to get my bite correct for the mold,,,,she was NOT gentle at all,,,she hurt me again....after the second time, I got up out of the chair & told her, she doesn't have to be so rough & told her I had enough & walked out of the dental room to the receptionist area. I was so shaken up about the situation I just wanted to go home. Dr. Ling came out & helped to calm me down. Dr. Ling complete the work in my mouth so I could finally leave. I have to return on Nov 13, 2023, I have to get my permanent crown complete........ I am feeling uneasy about it. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere from the receptionist and the guy right behind them was amazing as always is, never had any issues with them ever they are nice to me. The dentist provider who evidently is the owner Aicos was disrespectful, dismissive, and spoke to me rudely, making the entire visit extremely stressful. The student and I could be wrong with the title tried to take a picture after Aicos the woman did the cleaning, she couldn't get the picture. She tried once and then went into the hallway and asked if someone could push the button for her which is normal had this happen everytime before. Aicos came in and she told the young lady to push the button while she tried to take the picture, I held it, she held it and after 10 times she still could not get the picture. Keep in mind number 6 cut my tongue down the side which I realized when I got outside, I asked her nicely calmly if the young lady could try once and she push the button. I am saying evidently due to her title as a dentist this was disrespectful to her because when I asked she immediately told me that I could get up and leave and they would not submit prior auth's totally wacky. I know I am from Ohio there are plenty of dentist that accept Medicaid and care about the treatment they provide. I have never had this issue here after I have paid my money out of pocket on numerous occasions but I will never go back because I have other options this office will never, ever be one please do not go here there is so much going on but you do not have to be treated with no care and disrespectfully. My family has been at Aicos dental for years, but I was surprised by our most recent experience…read more The front desk personnel was very very rude to me when I asked if she had taken another patron who was late before myself. She cut me off and raised her voice at me for no reason. Not to mention, their billing has been screwed up for years. They haven't fixed it yet. I was told they would, but it hasn't happend. I'll be seeking a new dentist. Especially since they are only open on Wednesdays in Garfield Heights now. I am done with Aicos dental. I will say, the dentist herself is very good but I have seen her with an attitude with the techs before.
