Full disclosure, I've known Emily through our book club long before she became my dentist once my…read moreprevious one retired. So I'll tell you two things about her practice that are not subjective. First of all, the various forms of payment she accepts are posted on a window in the waiting room, so you know before you see her what she'll take for payment. I took a photo of that window and have posted it here to Yelp. Second, when I saw her about a problem I was having with an old cap and root canal done by my former dentist, she took the time to sit next to me and drew on some scrap paper to illustrate what was going on with that tooth so I could follow along with her explanation. My former dentist didn't do that and I found this extra step very helpful. One more thing about Emily - her employees love her. My husband is a chatty guy and got to talking with the staff during his first appointment at Emily's office. He was told that she bought the practice from another dentist who retired (not the same guy I saw for 20 years) and they really like her better than the previous guy! I don't think they knew George and Emily were book club buddies, and the compliments were totally unsolicited.

I've known her for a while now, and after needing her help as a dentist, discovered that her dentistry skills are super impressive, as is her thoughtfulness, professionalism and ability. Her staff has these same qualities, and overall, for my part, I'm her patient for life. I recently had a dental emergency where I lost a whole crown. Dr. Weitz got me in fast, took stock of things and got me set up with a temporary crown and told me I'd have a new one inside of a week! Not only that, and this impressed me a lot, I got a numbing injection in my gum...and didn't even feel it! Now that, folks, is talent! As I said, not only is Dr. Weitz great, but so is her staff; they were kind, thoughtful and very helpful and skilled as well. (The lady who helped to shape my new temp tooth was really amazing and fast.) Overall, if you're looking for a great dentist who'll treat you as a person and listen to your concerns, then you'll get the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth from Dr. Emily Weitz and Staff!!

FOR THE RECORD, I absolutely LOVE Dr. Kerata. She is irreplaceable. Her old office manager Becky was beyond amazing, but she has not been with them for years now, and honestly that is when I noticed the office 1st going downhill. I also cannot say enough good things about Shara, Dr. Kerata's hygienist who has seen my boys since they were born and the main reason I have stayed with this practice. Both Dr. Kerata and Shara have therapeutic rapports with us as patients and never did I have a problem getting my boys to want to come to the dentist. Shara was always so patient with them and we never had any issues. I am very disappointed with Mariam Makram taking over the practice. Every time I see her she introduces herself and says I don't think we've met... yet it's been at least 5 times now. She referred me to an endodontist, who seemed to be a friend of hers. Initially I thought maybe she was just concerned about my tooth but not sure that was really the case after having the consultation. Today was my last visit with this office. My boys had follow-up appointments to get sealants replaced. They were scheduled with Makram and another hygienist who we are not familiar with. My one son's visit seemed to go fine. Not the case with the 2nd. In a very unprofessional roundabout way I was informed my son was not going to be treated in her office ever again. The staff would not answer my questions and referred me to Makram herself who told me she was referring my 13 year old son to a pediatric dentist "who could better serve his needs"... I insisted we have been coming to this practice since my boys were born and never had an issue with Dr. Kerata or Shara... she informed me my son was swearing and being disruptive to her other patients. Apparently he had a canker sore and it was too painful for him to cooperate with this new hygienist. I am not buying this story whatsoever. My son has ADHD and was tired and likely crabby when they touched his sore mouth. It seems to me Makram only wants to have a certain type of clientele and that is fine because I don't like her or her way of doing things and never want her seeing me or my boys ever again. This is discrimination. And her office is trained to put on a fake show and smile. No integrity in this office whatsoever anymore. Such a shame. When my boys had appointments before either Shara or Dr. Kerata would update me on their visit, not the case with Markram. She never had any intentions of speaking with me today and even had the nerve to point out the differences in my 2 sons stating she didn't have any problems with my other son. I only want health care providers taking care of me and my family who are capable of addressing our individual needs and respecting our unique differences. Do not go to this practice if you are in need of any compassion or specialized needs.

I had a few problems after not going to the dentist for a few years and no one passed judgement on me, or made me feel worse than I already did about the situation. Dr Kerata and staff addressed my issues (needed a filling, root canal treatment, 2 chipped teeth, and a good cleaning) and took care of business, explaining what was being done throughout each process, and showing me a short video about what a root canal was (something I never got much of at any other dentist I've been to in the past.) I can't say enough about Dr Kerata, so if you need an appointment and are considering scheduling one here, I would highly recommend doing so.

It was a big expense, but having my full smile again is definitely worth every penny, and his pricing is very reasonable. Dr. Smilovits has great bedside manner and listens to his patients. I went through 3 other dentists before her and they were all OK. The first dentist I had made me go through procedures and put braces on me and flew the country with the money paid to her. Then I had to go to another dentist to have them removed and I thought that this lady was always late with all my appointments. I would be in the waiting room for at least an hour before she called me back. And time is precious to be so I couldn't keep doing this. And the stories go on... My very first visit with Dr. Jodie was absolutely amazing! Everyone in that place is so friendly and welcoming! They helped me and guided me through everything I needed to do for them. They give me reminder texts and calls so I don't miss my appointment. They truly listen to their patients and ask them for any concerns and are more then helpful with information that you are seeking about your dental. She is very knowledgeable and caring and its always a happy experience when I get out of there. I don't think I ever got upset or mad about anything when I come here. I would highly suggest her to anyone seeking a new dentist with amazing care!

Before reaching out to make my appointment I viewed some of her work on instagram which I was very impressed with. I was able to schedule my surgery appointment within a month of my initial visit. During my initial visit, I met with her team to discuss what I was looking for in my rhinoplasty. They walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. They were able to help me decide what would work best given my facial structure. I also decided to add on a little chin filler to give a more balanced look. After surgery, Dr Ponsky and her team reached out to make sure I was feeling okay. She was there to answer all of my questions. Now I am about 6 months out from my operation and I couldn't be happier! I never thought I would look like this.

I'm almost 50 and neglected dental care due to traumatic previous experiences. However, proper removal of some (5) mercury fillings became a priority to me. Dr Ben ensured a SAFE pain free removal of them all. I never even felt so much a a tinge of pain (even the injection didn't hurt due to a unique technique he does!) Also, I never felt compromised to inject any of the mercury he was removing as a damn I have never enjoyed the dentist before now!! ***CAVITY FILL NIGHTMARE*** This is a long one, but worth…read morethe read. I had been a patient here for years and had lots of good experiences. That's until I let them know I was moving, and attitudes seemed to change. I needed three cavities filled and was able to squeeze in an appointment a few days before my move. It was a long and uncomfortable experience. I believe I was given too much numbing cream and was extremely numb for a good part of the day. The dental assistant even made a comment, "wow, you're really numb". When they finished, I went down the hall to use the restroom. When I looked in the mirror, I immediately noticed a change to one of my teeth. I have the front four bonded and it was clear that one had been chipped. I went back into the office and was brushed off by the lady that did the fillings. Thinking I was crazy, I left and went home. Looking again in the car and when I went home, I was certain there was a small chip and a bit of a jagged edge to my tooth. With my move around the corner, I debated on going back. That's until I tried to floss... between the teeth that were filled, I could barely get floss in and actually broke my floss trying. At this point, I knew I had to go back. When I sat down and explained to the dentist about the chip and problem getting floss in between the filled teeth, he literally shrugged his shoulders at me. ZERO apology for chipping my tooth. I understand my teeth are bonded, but this has not happened in decades, and was clearly their doing. He said my options were to file the rough edge or CHARGE ME $200 to add bonding. Yes, the bonding THEY broke, I would have to pay to get fixed. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had with a business. I honestly just wanted to get out of there, so had him file it. This left me with a slightly larger gap, but I figured I would just live with it. Fast forward a couple weeks, and I'm now moved across country. One of the teeth that they filled, is now sensitive to cold and I'm going to have to find a dentist quickly to look at it and fix it. WOW. I am absolutely disgusted at the whole situation and they will not receive a penny from me, outside of what they've taken from insurance. This was a reminder, that you never really know someone or a company, until you do. I would warn anyone going here, that they may present to have your best interest in mind, until they don't.
