I scheduled an in-person consultation regarding a traffic incident. Despite living nearly two hours away, I was told over the phone that an in-person meeting was strictly required. I agreed, scheduled the appointment, and made the four-hour round-trip drive.
While I was on the road, the office placed a single call two hours prior to the meeting time. Because I was driving, I missed it. When I arrived at the office exactly on time, I was bluntly told by Janice that a message had been left and was asked, "Does tomorrow work?"
There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the massive inconvenience.
While everyone understands that emergencies and unpredictable schedule changes happen, the total lack of basic courtesy and communication here is staggering. To expect a prospective client to drive hours out of their way, only to dismiss them at the door with zero accountability, raises serious red flags about how this firm manages its cases and treats its existing clients.
If this is how they handle prospective clients, I have no confidence in how they treat people once a retainer is paid. Find a firm that respects your time and understands basic professional etiquette. read more
