The opposing attorney told our NEW representation that the OBrien-Lawson just went "off the grid" for over 3 weeks--they also stopped responding to opposing attorney. I sent the office some emails proving their billing errors ( emails to me stating that they sent a specific letter to opposing counsel, which they didn't), they responded by saying that I emailed "dribble" to their office. In fact, it was not dribble, it was evidence that showed a letter that they charged me for was not even mailed. Divorce is very stressful. This firm will ADD stress to your case, and I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. We are now on our 3rd attorney, due to no fault of ours. (First one accepted a new position, then Lawson OBrien, and now we are with new representation). Our first and 3rd attorneys were/are fabulous, so good representation DOES exist in the Kankakee area, you just won't find it here.
