I was in a car accident that resulted my car being in a total loss. I wasn't sure how to move forward with my case considering the other driver didn't have proof of insurance and I was injured. Hayli has done an amazing job communicating with my insurance and ensuring I get the proper estimate for my vehicles value. She additionally has done wonders by reaching out to the DMV to see if the other drivers vehicle was insured at all. Additionally, Kristin has been very efficient in finding me the best doctor offices and treatment for me all while consistently keeping me informed with how my case if progressing. I seriously couldn't have done it without these two. Definitely recommend! read more

This, unfortunately, is the 2nd time I've had to use the expertise of Morey and Upton. The first time was years ago when I was rear-ended, and I received a much better settlement than my two friends, who were also in the car, and who used a different firm. That's why I contacted them when I was rear-ended this time. Misty, the case manager, was a dream to work with both times. She's professional, kind, and very responsive. Although I had a good experience with Morey & Upton, I really hope I don't have to call them again, if you know what I mean! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services. read more

Suzie, we spoke before and you made it clear there was nothing you could do for me despite having my case and information and me explaining how the last lawyers working at your business failed me. Also, I'm VERY positive the people you owe money have tried to reach out to this business several times. So have I. You ignore them. Please don't pretend to care now. read more

i was with a completely incompetent attorney prior to being referred to Morey and Upton. The previous attorney wanted me to settle for an amount that didn't even pay my doctor bills!! Morey and Upton took my case and hired a detective. They figured out that there was plenty of insurance to pay my doctors and take care of me going forward. My attorney, Garrett and my case manager , Cecilia were extremely competent and great to work with. Definitively go with Morey and Upton if you have been in a car accident that was not your fault! read more

Words fall short in adequately expressing my appreciation for the office of Morey & Upton. I was in my first auto accident in 2021, to say I was unsure how to proceed with my injuries was an understatement - I felt so overwhelmed. Morey & Upton provided me with referrals, direction, support and encouragement. They walked me through my first and only deposition and kept in touch with me through every step. My case manager, Cecilia was so patient and gracious with me. No question felt like a silly question, she kept me completely updated and thoroughly explained each step to me. Cecilia and Kevin worked so hard to negotiate my medical bills down, which meant so much to me. My medical bill reduction didn't impact the amount they'd be paid, but they worked tirelessly to ensure that my bills were covered, and then some! I am so thankful and appreciative! I highly recommend their office! read more

I was walking my dog at a crosswalk when a car hit me. I contacted Desiree Telep from Morey & Upton and she immediately scheduled medical appointments to evaluate my injuries. I not only worked with Ms. Telep but with other attorneys such as Kaitlyn Diamond and Garrett Brief that exhibited excellent skills. In addition, I would like to mention my case manager, Kristin Brasher, who was extremely efficient in answering my questions and keeping me updated on my case. She was a great advocate for requesting needed medical services and obtaining approvals quickly. I would highly recommend this firm to family and friends because of their outstanding performance, professionalism, and representation. Sylvia R. read more

This attorney was recommended to us by a friend after my husband was involved in a car accident in January. First off, The interview process with Suzi was comprehensive and in depth to identify his injuries Settling the property damage claim was a bit more challenging since two separate parties hit him. John Upton and his team are amazing. They took over an accident I had and it was the best decision. They were attentive to my care and recovery, got my vehicle fixed, and were extremely communicative throughout the legal dispute. I felt comfortable to call when I had questions and never experienced anything but great aid and clear communication. By far one of the biggest mistakes I have done in my entire life was getting Morey and Upton as my accident lawyers. It has taken over 3 and a half years to close my case and it was done so only because I started to put pressure on them. Now my case is so called closed right ? I should get paid right ? Well no it still has taken 3 months after they've received insurance payments in order for me to get a summary of what I'll be getting paid out. I should get a check already right ? Nope! Now it was to go through a routined disbursement that will cut checks only when they feel likes it's ok which has taken over a month. Not to mention the attitude they have given because I keep pressuring them and plus how many reps have changed during the time of my case 5 to be exact and all I feel have to re do all the paper work with: I definitely do not recommend them at all worst experience ever. read more

Beware! Must Read Before giving your future to these HEARTLESS SEFISH So Called "Lawyers" They are snakes at this law firm!! This is my second case with them, it took them forever to beat the first case (YEARS)! I have called other law firms to get there professional opinion and everyone told me the same thing the more of MY TIME the more % of MY MONEY they get! It all makes sense! I got ran over by a drunk driver on my first case and it took them two years and a half to get me a $14,000 settlement and they ended up keeping 40% SMH. On my second accident I got rear ended and the driver was sober and she admits that it was her fault so I was experiencing so much pain I ended up Calling Morey & Upton to take up the case (Since they had all my info from my other case) I thought it was going to benefit me and make my life easier but it was not! This accident was in 2018! We are now in 2021 and the young lady's insurance returned my phone call to personally to apologize and assure me that they paid me about eight months ago they PAID MOREY &UPTON A SETTLEMENT CHECK! Wait what??? They settled out of court and gave them a check! I call and call and call again and again! I have left countless of messages! I continue to call I continue to be ignored! I still haven't got my vehicle fixed, I still haven't even got a phone call returned! I can't believe they have the money and they are ignoring my calls especially when I leave them voicemail after voicemail! Susie and Nimsi hello hello I am your client btw! Still no one calls me back! It's just mind blowing to think they can get away with this! How much money they steal and just because there name seems so respected but the humans behind this law firm are maybe stealing hurt helpless people when they are at there lowest! I wouldn't recommend Morey & Upton! Is that legal for them to settle out of court, get paid and then wait years to pay me if they ever pay me? I think it is unfair and I don't feel like I am in good hands with this law firm! read more

I was hit by a car while riding my bike. Stressed and fatigued from the accident and not knowing what to do next, I came across Morey & Upton. Needless to say, I immediately felt better after talking to John Upton, Esq., Partner, and Suzi Carragher, the Intake Manager. I was lucky to have both Misty Bauers, Sr Case Manager, and Mayra Bernal, Assistant Case Manager, assigned to my case. Almost immediately after signing up with M&U, both Misty and Mayra were busy acting on my behalf. They filled me in on every stage of the case and answered any and all of my questions, no matter how simplistic or complex. In the end I was very happy with my decision to sign up with M&U. It showed that they have a lot of experience advocating for their clients. They took a lot of stress off of my shoulders and allowed me to do what I had to do, which was REST and HEAL. read more

My case started for me as a teen, now as a young adult it has been settled. This team was amazing in helping me through an accident that was very rough on me personally. Mona Marquez has been my attorney and is impeccable at what she does. Not only was she very thorough with each stage of the case, but she made me feel comfortable. She was one phone call or email away and with the very best response time whenever I had a question or concern. Starting my case as a high school student and now being in college, it was very difficult for me to move appointment times and deadlines around my schedule. Mrs.Marquez did it all and insured that I was reminded multiple times along the way so nothing was missed. I am very grateful for each member of this team that helped me along the way, and especially Mona Marquez. read more

Nimsi my case manager returned all my emails in a timely manner and and always followed through to get my questions answered. Mr. Tannenbaum my attorney worked diligently to make sure my case was settled and worked diligently for my compensation to be paid and my doctor bills to be covered. I was pleased to be informed that Mr. Upton was involved to be sure that my case was settled fairly. It was an overall effort by an amazing team and grateful I chose Morey and Upton as my legal representation during a very stressful and trying time. read more

I was pretty dazzled by the office when I went in for my first interview with this firm after I was in a vehicle accident, where I was broadsided in an intersection by an unlicensed driver who ran a red light back in 2013. But little did I know that my case would be dragged on for 5 years. You see I was so certain in that interview that only my best interest would be served, and that when I was promised by their case manager that the firm would fight for my rights, and that the firm would work for the standard 1/3 of the settlement after my case was settled, and that they would only take their 1/3 AFTER all my doctors bills were paid. After all it was the firm that would be sending me to their tried and true physicians. So without any doubts of their morals and certain of their promises I signed their contract and was told I would be contacted by one of the team and told where to begin my recovery. I left that office in Costa Mesa feeling certain that I would I be treated with dignity and professionalism. But after 6 months went by, going to different doctors at their behest, a neurologist who gave me injections in my c-spine, then seeing a chiropractor twice a week for about 4 months, I called the office of Morey and Upton to find out what was new with negotiations with the defenses insurance company. I was told that all the associates were busy and that I could leave a message for the case manager Tracy Tang who was in charge of my case. Well I did so but was never contacted back, so I waited another couple of days and tried again, well this same game of dodge the client went on for about a month until I finally called the firm and was told that Miss Tang was no longer with the firm, but my new case manager Miss Randi Reicht was now in charge of my case and that I could speak to her. Well Randi seemed nice and was very concerned that it was so long without any word from the firm, she assured me that the defenses insurance had paid off their policy limits which were only $15,000, but not to worry because I had an underinsured policy that was upwards of $500,000 and that the firm would now begin negotiations with my insurance co. AAA. So I waited as I was told to, but asked if I could have a portion of the $15,000 that was sitting in the firm paid by the defense as I was not able to work and was in severe debt. I was told no because that money was part of a bigger settlement and if they were to give me a portion, that may negate the bigger settlement, BUT they told me I could take out a loan by an agent called Oasis, who worked with the firm and that I could use them for a small loan and pay it back after reaching the final settlement. I did this and after Mr. Morey signed off on the loan for $600.00 (which was not even enough to pay my rent) but what else could I do? I was under contract with Morey and Upton and had to do as they said. I could go on and on about going through another 3 case managers and having to take out another loan through Oasis for $700.00 about 6 months later and that this case would drag on for a total of 5 YEARS! Then after going through a deposition and then a Mediation where I felt like I was being represented by Barney Fife, and that after this sham of a mediation I was only awarded another $25,000 out of a $500,000 policy that was MY underinsured policy. Then the icing on my sour cake, the firm told me that I was responsible for the entire amount of the liens from the doctors and that the loans I took out for a whopping total of $1300.00 had ballooned up to $5,000.00 and that the firm was now going to take NOT the 1/3 that I was told in the beginning, but now taking 40%...WHY because the case dragged on for so long and in their contract, if the case went past a certain amount of time their expense went up!! But wasn't it them that dragged this on?? YES. So this was their final breakdown and dispersal of funds after all liens were negotiated down, OUT OF A TOTAL OF $40,000.00, THE FIRM WOULD TAKE $17,000.00 THEN I WOULD PAY THE DOCTORS AND OASIS A TOTAL OF $17,000.00, THEN BECAUSE I TOLD THE FIRM THAT ANOTHER ATTORNEY NAMED MITCH JACKSON HAD REFERRED ME TO THEM, CHRIS MOREY WOULD GIVE $4,000.00 TO THAT FIRM (JACKSON AND WILSON) JUST FOR THE REFERRAL AND THAT I WOULD BE RECEIVING A WHOPPING $2,000.00.I ALMOST DROPPED DEAD!! I cannot say with enough emphasis that this firm called Morey and Upton was the worst experience I have ever had! That I would NEVER refer ANYONE to them or want anyone to go to them for help. Here's the kicker when I called the firm to beg for more of my money, the senior case manager named Mira told me she hears it (the begging) ALL THE TIME!, in her condescending tone, and then repeated that I SIGNED THE CONTRACT! In this same condescending tone....UGH!!! I still live in pain, mentally and physically because I was trusting enough to believe in this firm! STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAW FIRM; MOREYAND UPTON!!! They don't deserve the1 star I gave them! read more
