As it happened, a young woman I work with told me her fiance is a painter. I was dubious at first thinking I would rather have a more experienced (read older) person who understood the idiosyncrasies of washing and protecting wood. However, after discussions with my co-worker, I found out that although her finance is a young man, he is the beneficiary of being the fourth generation of a venerable and highly respected family of painters and access to those many years of knowledge and experience. So my wife and I decided to roll the dice and I am so happy we did. The work was difficult due to excessive mold that is prevalent in the wooded and shaded area in which our home resides. It took them two times to get the mold off the softer shingles and then they had to sand them to bring back the grain. The ipe deck proved equally as challenging but was met with the same expertise. To further complicate matters, my wife chose three colors of stains for different surfaces but the painters took in those and all other requests and delivered what I would call nothing less than a masterpiece. The house and deck look incredible, the clean-up was perfect and we are confident that we will enjoy years of maintenance-free wear. Lastly, and almost as important, is the easy and professional manner in which our painters communicated with us. Whether by phone or email, we were always kept up to date with what work was done, what was scheduled for the future and when we could expect it to be done. Removed an old ugly exhaust and while the ladders were present, one of those ugly satellite dishes from an era gone by! Mark had a great crew working this challenging project on a high pitch roof. They worked SAFE and swift and got the job done in an orderly fashion. Nice cleanup after. At first it seemed like they were doing a great job. All of the guys were friendly and seemed professional. They completed our roof and were coming back the next day to clean up the mess that was left in the yard. It rained overnight and I woke up to water coming in our bathroom heating vent. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling of our bedroom as well. They also used long nails which came through the ceiling of our front porch. They did come and snip off the nails so that was better. Mark wasn't super pleasant to work with after this point and would only take $200 off of the price because that is what it would cost to paint the ceiling, which was popcorn so just painting over it didn't seem like a great idea. They had to set up fans in the attic to help it dry out. Fast forward 6 years to last week. We had a great deal of rain, and I arrived home from work to find water dripping from our kitchen light fixture. We looked at the contract and realized there was only a five-year warranty. We should have been more cautious and gone with someone with a better warranty. Well, we had to climb up on the roof and found that the 'tar' around the exhaust fan pipe had shriveled and cracked. We were able to purchase some stuff at ACE and repair it ourselves. I do not recommend this company. We wish we had used someone more established.

We booked T&T to put a new roof on last November. They came when they said they would, put the roof…read moreon, cleaned up, and all was well. But then we noticed leaks in our sunroom. Although the plexiglass sunroom roof was not technically what T&T had redone, it had not leaked before they put the new roof on, so we called them. They came back, took a look, did some more work. Lather, rinse, repeat. The sunroom leaked, we called, they did more work. This pattern repeated itself for several weeks. Then during a heavy rain, I stepped out our front door and the eaves were leaking like a sieve. This was a section they had re-roofed. That night I went prowling through our house with a flashlight, looking up at the ceiling. I found glistening water oozing through the ceiling in two rooms. This time Jerry at T&T said they would just entirely remove the new roof and replace it. They did an exemplary job, adding extra protection against leaking. When they tore the roofing shingles off, they saw they were cut slightly differently from how they are usually cut. It was a bad batch of shingles. All this time nobody at T&T complained. They took responsibility and replaced the faulty roof with a new one. We were so glad we went with a highly-rated company. Would recommend T&T.
