Don't bother bringing donations here! I went to drop off some clothes since all of the other thrift stores in the area were too full to accept donations, but after my experience here I would've rather brought them to the dump- it would've been a more pleasant experience. I brought in my first bag, which they dumped onto the floor and shuffled through each piece of clothing one by one, commenting "Ew!!" and "we can't sell that" as they shoved the pieces of clothing back into my arms (which they proceeded to do with about half the bag) while other patrons passed and watched. It was humiliating! I brought my donations elsewhere. Save your time and go to any of the other stores in the area. read more

Very unfriendly. I went there and the door was open, so I began browsing. A woman came from the back and with a major attitude, said they weren't open. I apologized and said "oh the door was open" and she snapped back that it was because she was putting stuff outside. I won't bother going back. Customer service would dictate informing the potential customer in a MUCH nicer way. Maybe don't leave the door open when you're not in the store. read more

I used to enjoy this thrift store, but no more The prices are outrageous. We go to thrift stores looking for bargains and often we can't afford to buy what we need in the big box stores. I wanted a Pyrex baking dish. Nothing there for less than eight dollars. There are other thrift stores in the area and fortunately I found one for three dollars and another for four dollars.. Also, the lady who runs this place is extremely unpleasant a martinet, control freak. I feel sorry for the people who work there, I suspect many of them are doing community service, so don't have any choice. I no longer donate there because she is so rude and unfriendly. read more

Most sales personal are friendly and want to.help their customers out Not her She never greets you and when asking a question it's like you are a bother to her that's if she even acknowledges you standing there in front of her. The selection isn't bad, but the woman running the place is a bit cold. She doesn't say hello, goodbye, or even anything else that doesn't pertain to the sale. I don't blame her for it, as she's not the only person in the world who's strictly business. But she %100 comes off as rude, condescending, and disrespectful; when compared to any other business in the area. I have SEEN her be nice before...but not often, and I've never experienced it myself. It is definitely not the way to get customers to want to come back... customer service and the polite standards it holds exist for good reason... I'm sure if customers treated her with the same condescending tone there would be a problem... The young coworker there was nice enough though. And the prices are fair. If you can get past her, it's a great little store for clothing and other random items. read more

I asked her what size..her answer..I don't know, I asked her the price ..her answer , without even acknowledging me, was ..I don't know...I said I didn't have my glasses...her reply ..either do I. This is the best thrift store in Keene. Puts Salvation Army to SHAME with their prices. Plus, when you donate, you know your donation is going to a good, local cause (the Keene community). The prices are always fair. If you're into bargain hunting and supporting your community, definitely give this place a shot! You won't be disappointed. For a consignment shop that also donates to great local areas of need, I could not have been treated so poorly and unprofessionally. I approached today the woman behind the counter to see how i can easily have many items donated - I have a lot of things that i have accumulated over the years and thought it would be a great idea to just donate everything to a good cause. Before i could finish my sentence, she pointed to the counter with "drop them off right here". Again I tried to explain that had a lot more than a few items i could just 'drop off' but got nowhere and again interrupted. Very rude and not at all what i expected for feedback. Staff could not have been any ruder! I asked to plug in a crafting floor lamp so I could see how bright it would be. She gave a stern NO that everything had been tested. With an "as is" sticker and no returns if it wasn't bright enough or the fancy bulb was defective how would I know. She proceeded to follow me very closely (3 feet - during a pandemic!) around the store and then verbally insulted me because I was carrying the floor lamp around with me. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase it or not. when I confronted her about following me she told me she's making sure I didn't steal the lamp. I have never been treated so poorly. Too bad this charity won't get a good review or my money because of bad staff. read more

The person receiving donations went through my first box and everything was fine, she put the things she didn't want back in the box and handed it back to me. Then she went looking through the next tote. She placed things she didn't want on the counter and then the rest (in the tote) on the floor behind. I asked, "oh sorry, can I have my tote bag back"? She replied, "no" and continued going through the next bag. I was taken aback, and asked, "what do you mean? That's my tote". She said, "all items must me donated in a bag or box for efficiency". I looked at the box she had just handed back to me and said " Oh, I'll just quickly switch everything then, so you can keep the box and I can have my tote bag back". She said, "No, that won't work. Just take all your things back now". She shoved everything, all the donations she had already picked, back over the counter at me. I stood there flabbergasted, asking "why? This doesn't make any sense, this isn't logical". She and her employee just ignored me and refused to acknowledge my existence. I've never had an adult interaction like this. There wasn't anyone in line behind me, I could have easily stepped aside and transferred items. I have no idea what about me wanting my tote bag back prompted this reaction, but it makes me doubt whether donations reach those who need them. read more

The woman here is the rudest person I ever met and seems to have mental issues. After being told to bring donations to the desk, which is all the way at the back of the shop, I proceeded to fetch three bins of items from my car. I got two through the front door and placed them out of the way around the corner, went right back for the third which I had propped the door with when I heard her screaming at me from the back of the store that she said bring them to the counter. I said that was what I was doing when she yelled "no, you put them on the floor." I was already carrying the bin in my hands to the counter but she stepped in front of me and ordered me out of the store. She got her helper - who did not offer to help me carry the bins IN - to carry my stuff to the car with her and basically threw me out. I explained to her this was just the first of a bunch of boxes of household goods we wanted to donate to a good cause following a home sale but she said "we don't want your stuff" so now it is going elsewhere due to this horrible, horrible person. As I ran the rest of my errands in Keene I mentioned her behavior to a few businesspeople and they all knew exactly who I was talking about, she has a reputation in town as a kook. DO NOT DONATE ANYTHING TO THIS CRAZY SHOP. FIND A WORTHY CHARITY INSTEAD. read more

I have donated many items over the last few years, and most are good quality/clean items etc. However, when I bring in my "free" items to donate, I always feel like I am bothering the staff with my presence. I did show up with a box on a day that was a "non-donation" day (I understand that there are rules), but I was snapped at and told that they would take the one box, but no other donations, because it was the wrong day. I love this thrift store and have bought home decor, dvds, cds and clothes with no issues and the prices are great. It's also been one of the easiest donation processes as well and I feel good donating knowing the proceeds go back to the community. The people who work there are so nice and welcoming! I'll continue to come back as long as I live in the area. read more

Very condescending during the donation process. Rejected almost all of the stuff that I brought, and had a terrible attitude when I had to run back to my car to grab one more thing. I love the concept of this store - that the proceeds go to various organizations in our community. The store has tons of good stuff, is well organized and it is easy to donate. I have gone in with a lot and with just one item. I have always been welcomed and thanked for my donations. They look the stuff over before accepting it and that is a good thing. It isn't a place to unload total junk. read more

I bought a microwave even thought they wouldn't let me try it out there. Brought it home and it works most of the time, but sometimes it stops working and I have to unplug it for awhile. A place should let you try it if their written sign says ALL SALES ARE FINAL since if they are wrong about it working they cannot be held accountable because the sign legally protects them. :/ read more
