I like that they have an indoor running track - being a runner myself - which is especially useful in the winter, or even just as a better alternative than a treadmill. Otherwise, fairly standard gym area and never too crowded. There's also a pool, which you won't have at most other gyms. I'm personally into group classes since they keep me more motivated and interested than working out alone on a machine. Some really good classes and teachers. The only downside at times is if you just have a so-so teacher, since they're given license to plan the class. That can be an upside too if you have a really good teacher, but sometimes with other teachers you may not feel as challenged and/or feel a muscle group wasn't really targeted (at Goodlife, they have standardized classes which doesn't really matter who's teaching). I do enjoy that the group classes have a true 'group' feeling to them, and people will talk with each other. There's also a good balance of men in the group classes, so it isn't awkward like it often was a Goodlife in that sense. A huge value is having the family pass. The big payoff is once your child reaches 3, then they can be in child minding for free during your workout. The kids have options like a 2 story play structure, rather than just being a daycare-environment room. Most of the classes are included in the membership too, so our son has swimming lessons and multi-sports at no extra charge. This was the main reason we chose to join. Downside is the change area. It's very much like a public rec centre rather than a gym or a club with tiled floors, showers which take 2 minutes to get hot water and so on. There is a 'plus' area, which is more of a club environment. It has a steam room and whirlpool. I'd really love these, but it's literally a couple hundred extra dollars a year which is too much right now with a young family. Other gyms like Goodlife have a sauna for everyone, so I don't really like having to pay what is standard for most others. Only reason I can't give a 5 star, but I do really recommend this place.

And had to take him out in few days. In few words, Its a child care where teachers are hired once a year ( When the summer camps runs). They are picked randomly, mostly without proper training about handling kids. For younger kids it can be quite a decision for mothers, as this can account for safety. Children have free access to television. I would day, one of their days curriculum is watching movie. The owner justifies this by saying those are interactive play/ education etc. but primarily these are children movie. It is played so that children can spend time watching them , so as free the teachers from their responsibilities of child care. Less attention is given to the kids for food, play, etc. They are primarily on their own . The owner talks about passion about childcare education and all. You can see her doing all this while parents are around,. But really this is just a way to earn money. We went to one of the day trips with them. While traveling in the bus, a small girl probably 4- 5 years old, slept and fell from the bus seat. She hit her head , but was okay, as teachers sitting in the near by seats came rushing. There was no teacher sitting with her or on her seat for assistance. They were sitting with other teachers. It was sad. We tried to complain, but the owner has her own excuses. I would recommend not to send your kids to the summer camp. Its unsafe, with the owner having little response from these small accidents. Today, these accidents seems small, but big things can happen as well. So, Please avoid sending kids to this summer camp. Its for their safety. As the response to the Business owners' comments I have the following to say.: Parents can very well go there and see what is right and what is wrong. It was only a review to help parents. And definitely , it is the parents discretion , what they perceive right and wrong. This is what I felt as a parent, when I sent my kid to this summer camp. I hope the review helps. Business owners don't like negative comments .. however, Parents should write what they think is right, whether positive or negative review..Its helps us to know and guide in parent hood.

The stalls are good sizes for the horses and appropriate tack and grooming supplies are provided accordingly. STAFF/VOLUNTEERS I am in love with the care and bonds the volunteers and staff with the horses! Meadowlarke does an amazing job hiring professionals for the safety of the rider and the horse. Tack is always put away properly and cleaned well and the lesson instructors are very responsible and provide a welcoming and safe environment for students and horses ARENAS The arenas are well kept, but leaks could be fixed in both larger and smaller arenas. I like that with the better weather riders ride outside and parents are welcome to watch every lesson, and the sizing and lighting is appropriate MISCELLANEOUS Meadowlarke has a heated back lounge with the list for horses and riders and in better weather a beautiful pasture and outdoor arenas. I also really admire all horses are rescues and are retired to meadowlarke north after a beautiful life. Meadowlarke also does a wonderful job of subjecting all ages to the horror of awful organizations like Canada Goose and help the people of the future realize animals deserve better lives. Going back to the staff and volunteers they have a beautiful sense of humour and are strict and firm with the horses need be. CAMPS I love Meadowlarke's camps! They push kids out of their comfort zone promoting them to be better riders and have a wide curriculum from horse sense and riding to PETA and other animal protection foundations. They divide campers into groups based on skill level but one thing I think should be changed asking parental consent to give the campers milk and checking for but allergies as the milk is almond and campers must guess what kind. Overall I think meadowlarke is a 10/10 establishment 5 stars!

I also admire the fact that the owners rescue horses who were being abused or going to be put down. I think that is very admirable. I also have to say, their prices are the best in the city. They are much cheaper than other stables. The Negatives: I didn't like how small the horses stalls were. When you went to tack up the horses, you literally had to push the horse so you could groom them on each side as they were too narrow for both you and the horse. The stable is also pretty far from where I live and they didn't have any classes available at a convenient time for me at my riding level. I would say this is a good stable if you live in Mississauga. If you are closer to Toronto or live in Northern Toronto, I would recommend others.
