Guy was friendly. He was busy on the computer and listening to a podcast he was available if I needed him the store was cool. They had a lot to look at. They have new old vintage toys comics a little bit of everything anime Maga the Chinese comic style everything if you like comics is here give it a try sure they have a lot of good values. I had a really unpleasant experience when I walked into the shop for a few minutes to browse before dinner. It was near closing so I just wanted to glance at what they had since I'd never been inside before. The person running the shop kept repeating over and over that they were closing in 10 minutes and he was going to kick me out when they closed. I buy plenty of stuff at other shops and I didn't feel at all welcome. I don't think I'll ever be going back. The selection wasn't very impressive and the cigarette smell didn't help either. read more

This is SUCH a cool store. More Fun is a must visit for any comic book fan or collector. They have anything you could want and they take subscriptions, if you want your comics to arrive in perfect condition. They carry everything from DVDs to action figures and everything in between. If it's something comic book or collectable you are looking for, then this should definitely be your first (and probably only) stop. Bonus points from me because I was able to find really cool books about pinups here! read more

A local comic shop of the old school variety, More Fun is THE destination for lovers of graphic fiction in the New Orleans area. The take great care of their regulars and are fantastic about special orders. Additionally, since one the owners are active, long time musicians there i also an amazing array of music collectibles there. Like most things or worth in New Orleans it lacks the corporate gleam but more than makes up for it with character. Good people, great shop, highly advised. read more

This shop is decent. They always have new books and the TPB selection is great, employees are always helpful as well. My complaint about this store is that it seems that the back issue area hasn't been updated in a while, that can be good and bad. Good is I can find some obscure stuff and it will be at a decent price, bad is that a lot of the prices for the back issues seemed to have been priced out back in the 90's. I also noticed that many back issues were not in the best condition yet they are priced out to top dollar. Don't try to sell me a book that is $20 mint and you're selling it for $25 and the book is a 7.2. The store doesn't get that much foot traffic so I'm always able to pick up books that might have been sold out at other stores. read more

They have cleaned up quite a bit from when I was last in there. Much better organized than it was before, and they've done a great job of ditching sun bleached inventory and even have shades installed! Business hours are now posted (they weren't before). They keep a much better organized stock of new comics and back issues on hand including a number of secondhand and used graphic novels. read more

I vehemently disagree with the guys that wrote reviews before me. In fact, I felt so strongly that I joined Yelp only to contradict them. This is my ideal comic shop. When I walk in, people interrupt their conversation to ask me if I need anything, then continue on talking about comics. I feel comfortable walking around their shop, browsing all the new titles; no people following me, no pretentious/awkward silence. When asked, they are enthusiastic about helping me, even going so far as to gather the title I am looking for themselves. Then they engage me into their conversation about the particular title I am interested in and give me recommendations. Their prices are fair, the selection is good, and the people are nice. That's what a comic book geek should be looking for in a comic book shop, not that picky crap Alex D. talks about in his review. read more

My favorite comic shop in the Metro New Orleans area. I'm not a huge comics fan but I do like to buy issues every now and then. More Fun Comics also has a good selection of toys and other related items. I love the laid back style the shop has. It's not all super clean and sterile (but not gross either) like some other shops. To an amateur fan like me it looks like they have a good selection of new and old comics and a small number of graphic novels. I tend to go for horror comics more often than not and they usually have what I'm looking for. This is a good example of how NOT to run a comic shop. Cramped quarters, a weird lingering smell, and overall poor organization of sections makes More Fun not that fun to visit. Though for what it's worth, I will give them green credit; lots of their unsold comics get donated to Zot's nearby, reducing the need for storage. read more

The first few times I visited, they were OK, but they had a very limited selection of trades on hand. My last visit ended with me waiting for an hour for them to unpack the new releases, after which they finally asked if I was waiting for something in particular. I didn't mind waiting, so I hadn't said anything, but when I told them which book (Uncanny X-Men), they informed me that they only ordered enough to fill pre-orders. Pre-orders? I neither know, nor care, what that means, but they didn't have even a single issue available to sell me. Attention: if you own a store, but don't order enough inventory to put anything on your shelves, I'm not going to shop there, or recommend it to anyone. read more

Nothing beats the feel of a local comic shop and More Fun Comics is about as local as it gets. New releases are always available after 1pm on Wednesday, the staff humorous (visit Carrollton Station on a WED night you will see them there), and they have a great selection of comics and toys. read more

DC is the opposite of most of the comic book store employees that I have encountered; he is very knowledgeable, I swear he must keep up to date on every current series, he will not act like you just spit in his face when you ask a question about a comic, Milwaukee stores I'm looking at you, and he will talk to you all day long if you want. I've gone in there and just talked to him about whatever DVD he has running for an hour. A couple of times I even forgot to buy comics. read more

Wonderful shop with layout and organization that encourages browsing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

My one and only problem (and it's not really a big one) has always been the parking situation. The shop is one of the best I've ever been to in the entire country. Their back issue stock is impressive. They have toys and action figures that are extremely hard to find anywhere else. They have lots of magazines, trade paperbacks and videos. I visited for the first time with my wife because I was interested to see how it was. The owner is extremely condescending with a know it all attitude. Took him about 20 minutes of me going through boxes to ask if I needed any help. Asked about a statue as I was leaving and realized it was a bust and did not want it after all. I thanked him nicely as I left and about two hours later, he goes on facebook to make fun of my wife and myself about how stupid we were. I do not recommend this store to anyone who wants a nice friendly atmosphere with space to move around in. There were a number of other things that went wrong with my first time going there, but it would be a waste of my time to even mention them. read more

This is the nearest comic book store to my home. Their selection is great and found exactly what I was looking for. The organization of the store is on the messy side but it gives it some charm. When I was there the employee greeted me nicely and went back to watching Aqua Teen. I made 3 walks around the store. They have a very impressive Star Wars action figure collection. Plan on making this a store a weekend tradition. read more
