After speaking with the front desk and one of the trainers, they told me to come back in an hour for a trial session where all three kids could experience the program. I asked all the necessary questions--pricing, waivers, schedules, yet at no point did they mention a fee for the tryout class. When I returned for the session they had booked for us, I was suddenly told that I needed to pay $50 per child. This was never communicated to me when I first inquired. I was shocked by the lack of transparency and professionalism. I was genuinely interested in their programs and willing to purchase a package, but this experience completely changed my mind. We live just five minutes away, and this could have been a great opportunity for my children. Unfortunately, due to the disorganization and miscommunication from the staff, they lost a potential long-term customer. Businesses should prioritize honesty and clarity--especially when dealing with families looking for quality programs for their children. Would not recommend based on my experience.

My cousin actually rented out this place for her birthday and it was absolutely amazing. TJ was our trainer for the day and I had fun and burned around 600 calories within the hour (according to my Apple Watch). After that I decided to do the 5 days for $5. Tiffany was my trainer for the trial and once again I had good experiences. Excited to say that I will officially be joining the gym and looking forward to their small class sizes, new equipment and great location.

I am so happy here. I've been coming to Foundation for about 3 months for training once a week, and…read moreI feel that my form in weightlifting has improved tremendously. I train primarily with Patrick (who is the co-owner), and I've also trained with Angelo a few times. Both are amazing to work with and so positive and upbeat (even when they are making you lift hundreds of pounds!). They push you hard and encourage you to build confidence to try things you didn't think you could do. Patrick has a remarkable gift with remembering names, and he is constantly circling the gym checking in with people about their goals and how they are doing in their lives, both in and outside of the gym. You can tell he knows personally and cares about every single member, and he makes an effort to recognize and celebrate every single person there. It's a small fitness community, so everyone also knows each other and supports each other. People are always cheering for each other if someone across the room hits a PR or does something amazing or new. Patrick also makes a point of welcoming new members by introducing them to people and checking in to make sure they feel welcome. Being at Foundation is the highlight of my week, and in the few months I've been there, I've already hit new milestones and PRs I didn't think I was capable of. I really love it here!

Steven has helped me understand exercise techniques that I never could've figured out by myself. He knows exactly what I need to do to see improvement and isn't afraid to challenge me. All the trainers are awesome. Amber and McKenzie are so knowledgeable and helpful. Even though they aren't my trainers, they're very engaging, fun to be around, supportive, and are a part of my fitness journey. Steven has a great attitude and impeccable customer service. I'm glad I chose Foundation Fitness because I don't think I'd be as committed to working out if I didn't start here. A welcoming, challenging (but not in a scary way), fun, focused, and collaborative environment have been key to my success so far. Whether you're an exercise newbie or serious bodybuilder these capable trainers will help you achieve your goals and set new ones. Bonus: all the clients I've met are really cool too. Lastly, an honorable mention to Angelo (now at a different location): he's a great trainer, kind person, and very knowledgeable. COME TRY FOUNDATION FITNESS!!!

Here's the deal and this is for anybody who has read or follow my reviews and I don't know if it's…read morethe New Yorker in me but I called down the middle the way I see it and this is the way I see One Life fitness Skyline: Any gym and I don't care who you go to and where you go to or even if The Rock himself is training you, it comes down to if you will walk through that door everyday and what you do inside of it. Most people complain about Jim's because of two things: they want all the amenities like you're going to the Bellagio in Las Vegas and they wait on you hand and foot or you have a lot of sensitive people who just because they don't get what they want when they want an exactly how they want it, they complain. All the staff that work there are really cool, they open up really good hours which is 5:00 a.m. and if you can't get your butt into the gym at 5:00 a.m. whose fault is that? I wish they would close a little bit later maybe 11:00 or midnight but that's neither here nor there. It's a huge facility and they have great amenities. Basic but good enough. So in summation I've been in this gym for over a year and I like it a lot and I have no problems with it. So what the heck are you waiting for after reading this? GET UP AND GET IT DONE!

I've worked out here for months and have been generally happy. It's clean, the staff is…read moreprofessional, and patrons largely practice good gym etiquette. It has all the equipment one could need and is by far the best value in the area. But I recently cancelled my membership because lately it's become a bit too popular. I purposefully work out during non-peak hours (noon weekdays, weekend mornings), but here it seems the weight room is crowded no matter when you show up. My last week there, I was constantly waiting for machines to come open and could hardly get a decent workout in. Had to make the step up to a less crowded albeit pricier facility. The cardio area always has tons of machines available, so if that's your thing, this place is great. But if you're into strength training, you may want to look elsewhere. To their credit, it was incredibly easy to cancel (easier than signing up, to be honest), no questions asked. And the cancellation took effect a week after l made the request.

I recently moved to the area and visited this branch on September 12, 2026, as I am currently…read morelooking for a new gym. I had seen on your website that first-time visitors are permitted to tour and try the gym before committing to a membership, so I asked the person at the front desk if I could do so. He identified himself as the manager on duty that day and informed me that the visit would cost $20. I immediately took out my card to pay. While the manager stepped away to assist another customer, another gym member who was present told me that he had been a member at multiple Planet Fitness locations for many years mentioned that he had never been charged for a first visit or tour at the other locations he had used. He then asked the manager about the charge. At that point, rather than simply explaining the policy, the manager became defensive towards me (NOT THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY ASKED ABOUT THE CHARGE) and began complaining that he was the only manager working on a Sunday and that even he was required to pay for his membership. He questioned how it would make sense for people to come in for free. I reiterated that I was not complaining about the $20 charge and had not even asked the question about it. While the manager was preparing the payment screen, I noticed information regarding the available membership plans. Because I travel frequently and may be away for several weeks at a time, I asked a straightforward clarifying question about the advertised ability to freeze or cancel a membership. Specifically, I wanted to understand how freezing a membership would affect the annual fee and whether I would be charged another annual fee after reactivating the membership. I explained that I was asking because I was seriously considering signing up and wanted to determine which membership option would be most appropriate for my circumstances. The manager responded in a condescending and sarcastic manner, stating that Planet Fitness is a large corporation and that I would be remiss to think I could "hustle" a company as large as Planet Fitness out of paying my dues. I found this response particularly inappropriate and insulting. I had not suggested that I wanted to avoid paying any fees, nor was I attempting to find a way around the membership terms. I was simply asking for clarification about the terms of a membership I was considering purchasing. I again explained this to him, but he continued to tell me that I was taking his comments too personally and that he was merely explaining things from a general point of view. That explanation does not align with the circumstances of the interaction. I was a prospective new member standing directly in front of him, asking specific questions about how the membership terms would apply to my particular situation. I was not challenging the company's policies; I was attempting to understand them before making a financial commitment. At that point, I decided that I would simply visit another branch, as I was still scouting different locations in the area. As I walked away, I heard the other customer who had spoken with me earlier tell the manager that he should not have spoken to me in that manner. Rather than reconsidering his approach, the manager loudly told me that I should leave because I was "taking things too personally." I want to be very clear that my concern is not that I was asked to pay $20. Nor was I upset about being required to pay membership fees. My concern is the manager's dismissive, accusatory, and unnecessarily confrontational treatment of a prospective customer who was asking reasonable questions. I am new to the area and was previously a member of two former gyms - one for 9 years another for 6. In all of my years as a gym member, this was by far the rudest interaction I have had with gym staff. A prospective customer should be able to ask questions about pricing, membership terms, and policies without being accused of trying to "hustle" the company or being told that they are taking things personally. Unfortunately, this interaction has left such a negative impression that I do not intend to return to Planet Fitness. I am sharing this review because I believe the conduct I experienced was inappropriate and does not reflect the level of professionalism and customer service that should be expected from a manager representing this company. I hope future prospective customers can be informed before coming into this establishment.
