I was recomended by my hygienist to have it removed before cavities begin to form due to the difficulty of brushing the area so I did some research and looked for referrals from friends. I previously removed a wisdom tooth a few years ago but put off removing the other three as I didn't want to be stuck eating soft foods for another three weeks again. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Dolman and that was when I knew Dr. Dolman was extremely knowledgeable and I could trust him with this procedure. Dr. Dolman is not pushy like a number of doctors are. Rather, he explains what would happen if you don't remove certain teeth and what would happen if you do. His explanations were clear and helped me prepare mentally for what I was about to go through. Doing any sort of dental work is usually pretty scary and pulling wisdom teeth is one of the scariest procedures for me due to the fears of dry sockets and things going wrong. However, Dr. Dolman is very experienced and goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are safe, comfortable, and at ease before, during and after the procedure. Did I mention that during the procedure, I didn't feel a thing and was very relaxed? I didn't think that could be possible in a situation where someone would be yanking your teeth. What makes Dr. Dolman stand out is the experience post operation. I was provided a printout of what to expect for the next few weeks during recovery, what to eat and how often to change gauzes. In addition, Dr. Dolman gave me his number so I could text and call him if I had issues. He followed up periodically to check in and see how I was doing and answered questions I had very patiently. Dr. Dolman truly cares for his patients and I highly recommend everyone who needs oral surgery go to him. He is the best and I recommend all my friends to see him.

The office is relaxing with calming videos running in the rooms. The appointments are easy to book, and the staff is friendly and professional. Two of my wisdom teeth came in right after I had my first child and were impacted. One was close to the nerve, so regular dentists did not want to touch it. Exactly one week ago, Dr. Calat numbed the area completely, and it took him about 5 min to pull out both teeth. He was quick, precise, and thorough. Before I knew it, he was cleaning the area and suturing the extraction sites. He did say that it didn't always happen so easily, and it could take up to 2 hours in some cases. I had some pain that went away with Motrin and Tylenol the first day. The second day, there was no pain, only low-grade fever 99.8F. I didn't need any painkillers. I ate soft and mashed food and followed the instruction from the after-care list. I took Motrin before sleep just in case but didn't need it. On the third day, I went out for lunch and had seafood risotto. Tomorrow is my 15th wedding anniversary, and we are going out for steak. Thank you, Dr. Calat. My wisdom teeth extraction turned out to be a much better experience than previously anticipated.

I met with several highly rated oral surgeons in Manhattan, Dr. Park being the third and final consultation, which was yesterday! Upon meeting and speaking with him, I knew I would be in great hands. Because I was able to get his staff my insurance information and my panoramic x-ray in advance, he was able to do the procedure which included the extraction and bone graft yesterday! I opted for IV sedation because I did not want to know or be conscious of what's going on around me. Yes I'm a baby and I did not feel a thing. Fast-forward to today the site is virtually painless and I'm in a happy state of shock. His front desk and surgical team were also so uniquely and incredibly kind to us in a myriad of ways, one of which was helping me get my mom who accompanied me, down the steps into car service going home. She's 83 and God bless her for traveling with me from Brooklyn to the upper west side! It was a long ride, but so worth it. Amazing practice and I am so very happy and impressed with Dr. Park and my outcome. You all exhibit such a kindness, and grace that is pretty rare nowadays, but so deeply appreciated. You really have something special here.

One year later, the site shows no signs of infection, and the bone has been fully restored. Dr. Choi is not only an excellent surgeon but also a warm and empathetic person. The day after surgery, he personally sent my husband a text to follow up. He always listened to our questions and concerns and explained everything clearly. I left a note late in the evening around 8.45pm, got a call back around 8.30 in the morning, and my appointment was set for 11am the same day! The clinic was easy to locate and a 10mins walk from the 33rd St PATH station (I was coming in from JC). Barbara (the receptionist and assistant), was quick to start the paper work and I was in the dentist's operating chair within 15mins. Dr Sherman gave a patient hearing to my case, and after checking the x-ray, gave me a crisp and concise overview of what needs to be done next. After my consent, I was given a local anesthesia, and two of my wisdom tooth were extracted, the whole process taking about 15-20mins. I was then given a detailed advisory about the post surgical care to be taken, and was on my way back home in the next 10mins! There was minimal pain once the anesthesia effects sidelined. I visited again within a week to get the stitch removed, and was out of the clinic again in 5mins!!! I am very grateful to Dr Sherman for the quick attention I received, and for non-existent surgical or post surgical issues. I would highly recommend Dr Sherman to anyone looking for simple to complex dental procedures. Believe me, you will definitely save some time by skipping appointments with primary/inexperienced dentists, who focus more on cleaning and cosmetic stuff, and end up referring you to specialists, for complex work.

I got to the office on time, and immediately informed them of how nervous I was for the surgery, pain, etc. They kept me waiting (without ANY INFO) for TWO HOURS. It is completely unacceptable for an oral surgeon to keep patients waiting 2 hours past their appointment time in a waiting room without ANY communication between the staff and patient. Not only was the waiting room extremely stuffy, but it was crowded - to the point where people were sitting out in the HALLWAY ON THE GROUND. To top it all of, the doctor messed up my stitches , and he did not cut them short enough.

During the first one, I was taken an x-ray (after having my confirmation that I was fine in paying the cost) and explained the surgery process and preparation to it (fasting for 8 hours, etc..). The doctor told me the difference between the local anesthesia and the sedation, so that I had enough information to decide to go with the second option. After the visit, his admin assistant took me in her room and walked thru the full cost, including the deduction covered by my insurance (she had spoken to my insurance while I was with the doctor). I paid the x-ray and signed the agreement. At the surgery appointment, I paid upfront the surgery costs, before starting any procedure. I was pretty nervous but in fact the sedation worked wonderfully (I dreamed about being on the amusement park with the doctor and the nurses :D ). I fell asleep in seconds and when I got up, besides trembling for being cold (which is kinda usual in surgeries), I had the feeling that the surgery duration had been of seconds. And more especially I didn't end up by saying any stupid thing like you see in those many videos online, taken right after the surgeries (I was so afraid!). My husband came to pick me up (a requirement from the office to have someone coming to pick you up if you choose the sedation option) and they gave him all the due docs, medicines and explanations on how to take care of my recovering mouth. I followed everything on their documents. I experienced some pain for a pair of days (and a bit longer on one of the 4), but nothing really major requiring painkillers or so. At the final appointment 10 days later, Dr Del Valle checked my mouth, very quickly to confirm that everything was looking very good. And in fact I was feeling really good! I am really pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend to choose Dr Del Valle and his team if you need any wisdom teeth surgery.

I had a serious issue after the procedure causing intense pain. They said "oh we've never seen a reaction like this so it must not be related." Um yeah, so for some reason the morning after an invasive procedure in my mouth I'm having intense pain and it's UNRELATED? Seriously WTF. After three calls they reluctantly prescribed antibiotics (which I insisted upon after ChatGPT diagnosed it as a likely deep tissue infection), which ultimately solved the problem. After seeing Dr. Tuchman, I felt a lot more comfortable with him and decided to have him do the procedure due to his very attentive bedside manner and expertise. The other oral surgeons told me that couldn't remove all of my wisdom teeth--one was very close to the nerve, and the other surgeons offered to cut the tooth in half. Dr. Tuchman took an additional x-ray and said he could remove the tooth without complications (the risk factor as low as 0.5%). He also explained that there were risks to cutting the tooth in half (i.e. infection, issues later in life), so he was confident he could remove all of the wisdom teeth. I am very happy that I chose him to do my wisdom tooth extraction! As a result, he removed all 4 of the teeth completely, and I was very surprised that I didn't have almost any pain afterwards and pretty minimal swelling. I did have to wait a little bit in the chair for him, but definitely worth the wait if you get to the appointment early because he takes time and a lot of care with his patients. If I would've known that I wouldn't have much pain at all, I would've gotten the procedure done earlier. He also deeply cares about his patients and gave me a call after the surgery to make sure I was doing ok and taking my medications. His secretary is also great and helped me reschedule my appointment a couple times after I needed things switched around. His office is great.
