The front desk marina were complete jerks and not very friendly. The outside porch lights didn't work either. The head board wasn't attached to the bed. The brochure said the suit was 2 separate bedrooms with 1 kitchen and a bathroom. It was 1 bedroom with 4 beds and a kitchen and bathroom together. The door opened outwards not inwards. The hot water heater was sitting behind the room not even connected to water or the power. ​​​

I don't think anyone has swept or much less mopped this place in months. TV is a 15" computer monitor beds have plastic under sheets so it crinkles all night. an added bonus ... some one at the "die" on the bathroom mirror with soap, it showed up after a shower (shower only good thing nice water pressure out of that 1962 shower head) the door locks but if you just bump it or yank the handle from the outside it opens. please pleas someone shut this train wreck down so I never have to stay here again. oh and no worries about getting up early the blinds do not fit the window and light and or psycho can see in all night long. if you have to stay here bring the Glock. The lot is gravel and doesn't look like much but the staff is very friendly and there is a nice lounge area inside. Cheap $1 snacks. The rooms are quite small but very nice. If you're looking to go to grand isle but want a cheaper lodging and don't mind driving a few minutes to the beach, you'll love this place.

It might be a little roomier and maybe cleaner but it cost more and you have to drive to leeville or galliano to get bait or food. Boudreaux's also has a nice walk around deck that circles the rooms. I've never had a problem with noise and believe me I go to sleep early when I'm fishing the next day. There is a place under the rooms to park your truck hang out and cook. If your their in football season picture a tailgating party of fisherman. Clean: the floor is always clean, the beds are always made, the fridge is always clean, sometimes the sheets have small holes and yes sometimes it feels a lil sandy. The bathroom is clean although sometimes the shower could use a little cleaning. Location: it doesn't get any better, Terry's bait (on the water) and Gail's bait are on the other side of the parking lot, tyd's (gas and tackle), griffin's marina, and leeville restaurant are all within close walking distance. When I get here I don't even unhook my boat trailer everywhere I need to go is right there. Fishing: great fishing but of course you need to know where to go. Boudreaux's has a dock for your boat almost under your room. It also has it's own boat launch, and fish cleaning station. The people: I don't care where your from these are the friendliest people you will ever meet, don't let the woman on the phone fool you she answers as though she hates her job, but when you get there she lights up and is always cheery. Terry at Terry's bait shop is someone I consider a friend he will put you on the fish. Bob Gouge of the Between The Banks fishing show stays here and is always willing to help newcomers. The leeville restaurant: great food but watch out when getting a soft drink no fountain drinks here and it'll cost you for each refill. You can drive to grand isle if you want to go to the beach but don't expect clear water maybe 3 ft visibility. I stay here because I love fishing, if your looking for a place to vacation and fishing isn't number 1 then your time and money would be best spent else where. But if your a fisherman and looking for convienance and comfort this is a great choice. There are bigger and cleaner hotels but boudreaux's is perfect for me. Small, personal, and convient. It's about a 45 minute commute to C-Port and is much nicer than the Days Inn which is about a ten minute drive south. Location is everything and Holiday Inn already knew that. Wal-mart, Smoothie King, and Quiznos is right next to this place. How convenient is that? If all the rooms are booked, you can try getting a room in Raceland or Houma (which is only about a 45 minute commute to this place). Houma has a lot more restaurants to choose from. They are currently building another Hotel next to Holiday Day so vacancies should open up after it is complete. They are also opening up a Marriot close by as well but is still under construction as of 11/21/2014. The gym here is decent. They have some free weights and some cardio machines but don't expect much. It's a small room and is generally empty. Sometimes the machines are broken. Originally I gave this place three stars until I realized how much nicer it is compared to everywhere else in Galliano/Cut-Off. Pros: -Location (45 minutes to C-Port 2 Slip 9) -Accessibility (Close to restaurants and grocery store -Price. The standard rate is relatively expensive but if your company is paying for it then you get more points! -All the rooms have refrigerators. Cons: -Noise Level - Walls aren't that well insulated and sometimes construction goes on outside. If someone is using the BBQ pit in the back (which is rare), expect lots more noise from the party. Tips: -DO NOT SPEED IN GOLDEN MEADOWS. Cops are everywhere. -Bring $3 for toll if you plan on going to C-Port.
