My dental assistant Taylor and dentist Dr.Erik were amazing! The front desk girl who I believe was named Alissa was also the kindest soul. The only time I went to this office was for an initial visit. I had been without insurance for…read moreclose to 20 years and knew there would be a lot of problems. Also, my pediatric dentist had been a real piece of work, so it left me always very uncomfortable and apprehensive with dentists. I relayed this experience and how it made me feel to them and they seemed incredibly unconcerned. They did discover I in fact had a number of problems and would require a lot of work. First, however, they referred me to an oral surgeon to take my wisdom teeth out, as that was the most pressing issue, as well as schedule a follow-up for after the surgery. Unfortunately, my work schedule changed and I had to cancel the follow-up. I asked that they call me back closer to the end of the project I was working on to reschedule, and they never did. I have tried off and on to get back in, leaving messages on the phone, and they have gone unreturned. A little more than a week ago, I started having some pain in my lower jaw, so I called in again and left another message, which went unreturned. Then again yesterday, and it was unreturned. I called today and finally got someone who picked up, explained the situation, and the earliest they could get me in was in 2 days. I asked why my calls hadn't been returned and was told very rudely that they had been on vacation for 2 weeks. This information was not on their voicemail service. Ultimately, I found another dentist that took our insurance, who happened to be one that had seen me on an emergency previously, and they were able to get me in sooner, so I canceled with Dr. Cloninger. The doctors in this office may be very competent, but I wouldn't know. I never got the chance to actually experience their care beyond an evaluation because the office staff was so rude, disorganized, and completely lacked any empathy. This poor management is a reflection of the doctor/provider themselves and erodes trust with the patient. My wife has been a patient with them for about 12 years, and I'm going to encourage her to find care elsewhere as well.

We repeatedly had issues with our insurance coverage not being submitted correctly and confirmed with our insurance provider that the issues were a result of the dental office submitting claims incorrectly. We had multiple conversations with staff members who just couldn't seem to get anything right. Google reviews seem to show a trend with these issues and I regret not doing my research ahead of time and instead wasting time here.

This is a fantastic place to have your mouth splayed open and penetrated by uncountable multitudes of cold and uncaring steel instruments. I walked in the door for my second appointment and was greeted by name! What!? Widdle old me!? The dental assistant on my first visit chugged through more than a dozen much-needed x-rays, making sure to capture the best side of my various cavities and crevices with superhuman diligence. They did such a great job it made me totally re-evaluate my feelings about dentistry. To think, you go to a family doctor and they pop into the room for 5 minutes, ask a few questions, are are gone in a puff of vaporized 100 bills. Meanwhile, these dental folks are down in the trenches, scraping, grinding, plastering, patching, every nook and cranny surveyed, explored and optimized. They are the gemologists to your yawning face-hole of uncut precious stones. The lawn crew to that wet and strange Master's Pro Golf course above your chin. The slightly drunk English professor to the pile of potentially powerful personal essays that is your maw. The office can be hard to find. It's one the SW corner of the building closest to 29th Ave. Look and listen for the "cascading" water feature near the entrance.
